Hope you enjoy the video

I love the videos with polyglots , seems like the Brazilian people have a talent to speak many languages , first was Ana and now Julia 😊
Brazil is extremely mixed and this is reflected in our language too. Japanese people say that some of our words sound like Japanese, while Hispanic neighbors say that Brazilian Portuguese sounds like a fusion of Italian and High Valyrian (the language from Game Of Thrones). We can replicate any phonetics and language. EXCEPT English 😂 I don't know why, but English seems extremely difficult for Brazilians. Even when you seem fluent in the language, there is still the accent.
We brazilian polyglots are a very rare exception, most can't even speak spanish as a second language even though our country is surrounded by spanish speaking countries.
I think it's because of the massive population and culture, like USA, there are more people, therefore more people like languages i guess?
The fact is that about 80% of Brazilians are monoglots, and at least half of those have no desire to learn a second language.
@@RogerRamos1993sad, but true.
Julia is so charismatic. Her vibe is different. She is very excited about everything.
That's how we are in Latin America, in Nordic and Western countries they're cold as ice.
Well, she's brazilian. We're like golden retrieves
IKR, that's why people were helpful and nice to her, she radiates good energy, her looks definitely help too.
Jolien is really impressive. She seems to be fluent in all languages she spoke. As a Brazilian I can say her Portuguese is near flawless.
I'm also Brazilian and I already know 3 languages, portuguese, english and spanish!🩷
I'm brazilian too i planning for learn spanish. I want to be a triligual one day
Yeah, as brazilian I was shocked 🤯 she speaks it fluently. She even has a brazilian accent 😅
é porque ela é brasileira kkkk
Eles tao falando da outra@@Ahtonll
We need a video with Ana and Julia speaking different languages together 😮🙏🏾 imagine if they didn't know they are both from Brazil

@@brunnocesar1411 por isso falei: "imagina se não se conhecessem"

Julia has been again a very very welcome addition to this channel. Her sense of humor and energy is just cool. The fact she can speak multiple languages even makes her awesome
Omg yes ! I love the fact that she made the person on the left so confortable
We can clearly see that the mood switched
Bro is a simp
Omg Julia is always giving me “let’s be friends” in the videos she’s in!
She is very charismatic, if that is the correct word in english for what i am thinking about.
Verdade! 😂 greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Jolien 🇧🇪 basically speaks perfectly the portuguese , since Brazil is the biggest and most famous portuguese speaker country in the world , the video was pretty good , both girls ruled it
That makes zero sense
Really?? You would think Portugal is the biggest and most famous Portuguese speaking country 😂
@@DipoOgundipe Portugal has 10 million people while Brazil has 215 million ahah
Julia is a brazilian caricature in person! She is awesome!
The way she said she learned korean shows off very much how brazilian do stuff
No she's too amazing, polite and cute to be a representation of the awful average Brazilian

I love the Brazilian polyglot representation in this channel hahaha as a brazilian polyglot myself (portuguese, english, french and italian, and a bit of spanish and hebrew) people usually assume that I can only speak portuguese and that brazilians don't learn other languages, even tho all the schools I ever studied in brazil had english + another language as mandatory subjects.
INFELIZMENTE O INGLÊS E ESPANHOL ENSINADO NAS ESCOLAS PÚBLICAS SÃO MUITO RUÍNS.POIS O FOCO É A GRAMÁTICA E NÃO A CONVERSAÇÃO.É MAIS FÁCIL APRENDER NO DUOLINGO QUE EM ESCOLAS PÚBLICAS😶
I'm an Israeli polygot who knows Hebrew, English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian and the fact that you learn hebrew is flattering.
@@benlechner6352 Your Portuguese is really good! As a Brazilian, I feel flattered that you decided to learn it. I'd like to give you some tips to make your comment sound more natural, but you didn't really make any mistakes, just some tiny details that I think could be better:
"Obrigado por >estar< interresada na nossa cultura."
I think the verb "estar" fits better here as it's about a state that could be changed and not a quality of an object. It's quite difficult to explain as English doesn't make any distinction between those two states of "to be".
"Estar" = "Eu estou com fome." (I'm not hungry itself, I'm in a state of hunger).
"Ser" = "Eu sou australiano." (I'm a person who was born in Australia; this is a quality of what I am)
@@vivies2 Thank you for pointing it out, I always get confused with ser and estar both in portuguese and spanish

I don't even speak a single word of Korean, but when I heard the way that the Brazilian girl pronounces the 'te' particle at the end of each sentence part, I was like :
Okay, guys, this girl is fluent !
Yeah and Jolien, her intonation is almost perfect like a native
there is no Te (테) or De (데) particle in Korean, but there is in Japanese so I assume thats what you mean haha (で)
Julia sure is more bubbly and more expressive than Ana... As someone said in the comments would love to see them both together in a video... Love from India 🇮🇳 ❤😊✌🏻
I'm surprised that the Belgian isn't Brazilian! Her Portuguese sounds really good!
How do u know? Do u speak Portuguese ?
As a Brazillian I agree with you.
As a Brazilian I can say that She has a foreign accent, but speaks quite good
@@MarcoAurelio-rk9yq Im brazillian, to my ears she sounds like "95%" native, and she said "I dont talk portuguese for a long time", if she had been practicing frequently and had a little more contact with brazilian people, her would will definitly sounds like a native 100%. (sorry for the possible english mistakes, I not studied sentences and grammar yet, just have a mid/faint vocabulary :D)
esse vídeo é incrível! poliglotas são incríveis! Julia sempre animada e carismática, orgulho do Brasil ♥🇧🇷

Eu fiquei impressionado
ela é brasileira, não?
Because she is Brazilian. So portugues her main laungue..
Wow. Jolien's portuguese really sounds natural. I also live close to Belo Horizonte, so for me it sounded astonishingly natural
I am fluent in English, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean. Currently, I am studying Spanish, and this motivational video has been a great help. Thank you!
hi! I’m wondering how did you learn all of those languages? I’m interested in Vietnamese and Japanese but I have no clue where to start!
@@ahshsuauaa8682@ahshsuauaa8682 Actually, my mother tongues are Japanese and Vietnamese already cuz I'm mixed...But if you start learning a new language, I recommend you start watching some movies/ anime in that language first to be familiar with the sound of the language you want to learn, and you could learn some vocabulary from it, too. Then, you can continue learning from the ABCD. Vietnamese and Japanese have many similarities; both cultures are influenced by Chinese Kanji and words. I think it would be easy if you learn both of them at the same time.
As Emilyn said, watch lots of media in that your target language, and read books, you can learn words using SRS apps like anki as well, it's free matter fact you never have to pay a dime to become fluent in a language and all these language learning apps are a scam.
i think it's kinda expected that someone from europe is able to speak more than 3 languages because of how small and close the countries are. for brazilians it's surprising because how big brazil is, like, we don't have the opportunity to speak with someone in other language that often, even in spanish since we are most located in the atlantic coast and our latino neighbors in the pacific one.
just because you live close doesn't really make you know the language. Heck in Belgium a lot of people from the French part barely can speak flemish
@@vincenzooccidentale7979
oh but I never said that. you have to be interested in learning languages in the first place. but if you're interested in it and live in a tiny country surrounded by other tiny countries is so much easier to get connected by other languages and learn it. in brazil that's not possible, unless you're from the very south, since it's "close" to argentina, uruguay and paraguay. where i live, for example, it's closest to Senegal and other countries in Africa, than any other country in America, so we're really isolated by our language. actually, the countries in Europe has the size of the states of brazil, so we're "locked" by ourselves.
(+ we don't have trains connecting all our countries, so if we wanna do a trip, it has to be by plane $$$)
@@matteusfreitas you're right, but people moving somewhere to learn a language is very rare, even here in Europe. But if learning a language is your absolute priority then you're definitely right
Most Europeans learn out of necessity for work. Luxembourg is the only true polyglot country. Most Europeans know 1 or 2 languages (typically 2nd language English or german) well and a few phrases in other nearby languages .
Jolien''s pronunciations are very exact. Her way of speaking is very deliberate so I find that I easily understand her Spanish, French, and Korean. She would be an EXCELLENT language tutor.
Julia is a fireball and her rapid firing style is a pleasure to watch, but if I'm to learn language, that would be overwhelming at first. But so lovely to watch all her hand movements, gestures, and facial expressions! She would be a fascinating conversational partner.
Jolien speaks portuguese so well, she sounds just like a brazilian.
In England they're called fringes. In N. America they're called bangs. So they are both right. 🙂
I always thought fringes made more sense and that bangs sound silly like "bang!" Haha But then I read way to many old books from England, even though I'm Californian.
I'm in Australia. It's a fringe here.
"Bangs" literally sounds like they picked a random word from the dictionary and said that's what it's called now. Better to call it what it actually is.
@@cree8vision Did I say otherwise?
Now we know that Julia can speak multiple languages I like to see her with her fellow Brazilian amiga Ana since she herself is a polyglot and also fellow Spanish speakers like Andrea either from Spain or Mexico and I know there were plenty of Spanish speaking women from other countries in this channel and other similar channels. And also since Julia slightly speaks Japanese she can collaborate with either Saki, Mariko, Uka, or Kotoha which is more of a opportunity to speak more Japanese for Julia so hwaiting (화이팅) for Julia and I don't know if there's another way of saying you got this or an act of encouragement in Japanese like hwaiting.
Great Idea that would be awesome!
I think that Brazilian girl is beautiful asf
All of conversations in multiple languages were awesome! Thanks so much and God bless!!
I want to see juilia more in this channel!!
This makes me very motivated to study more. I can speak finnish and english pretty fluently and i am studying french and swedish. I can understand quite a lot of korean vocabulary and read hangul but i need to actually start studying the language to make progress. I would love to study abroad in university and i am torn between french speaking countries and south-korea. Recently i've also developed an interest in latin cultures and languages such as spanish and portuguese. I would love to just study languages and learn new cultures full-time, it's so incredibly interesting!!
I feel like this has got to be such a great way to connect with someone, speaking multiple different languages yet understanding each other almost fully.
Wow. Impressed by both Ana and Julia's proficiency in English, Korean and French as a perfect TCK who was born in US, spent childhood in Quebec, and currently living in Korea with 100% Korean Parents. Especially the level of Korean that both Ana and Julia showed was almost like that of a person who has lived in Korea for like 10 years, since it is considered as a hard language for Belgium and Brazilian linguistically.
Verdade
IDK why, but i understand all languages you spoke.
Thanks subtitles! 🙂
I don't know why i feel like i love Julia's personality from the day i saw her❤ she is so cute and have energy as well and she seems like she is always excited about everything 💖 she is so sweet and she is so humble as well she always says she is not that good😊 even she speaks languages very well ❤
Julia is such an impressive person and I love her energy
I didn't catch the random Korean word in Japanese, not knowing either language, but I did hear a Portuguese "belo" (or was it "bela"?) in Spanish. It's of course perfectly fine for polyglots to do this.
yeees i'm spanish and I heard it as well, it was very random
The two sentences where Julia used Korean words in Japanese were 「日本語 다 忘れてた」(nihongo da wasureteta) (I forgot all of my Japanese) and 「ごめんなさい 여러분」(gomennasai yeoreobun) (Sorry everyone) . 다 (da) and 여러분 (yeoreobun) being Korean words.
Both belo and bela words are spanish and also portuguese, and they mean pretty or gorgeous i don't speak english that fine, i speak portuguese as a Native Brazilian, some words in spanish are or have the same meaning in both languages like "belo" or "bela"
i'm spanish and both belo and bela doesn't exist. It is: bello and bella@@paulosomebody
Damn, another goated idea ("keep switching"). The utmost props to the content production team!! 👏
I just love this channel❤
Amazing people. Truly.
Julia saying Portuguese it's too much for my heart to chase away 😍
Uau, as a Brazilian from the south I have to agree with my xará Julia (kk) Jolien doesn't have a foreign accent, she has a beautiful Mineiro accent! Hahah she's so cute, I could almost believe she was brazilian
both of them are so lovely ppl
I've got really impressed with these two women speaking all these languages, it's impressive because I suffured a lot to learn English, but once you learnt a new language I don't know, but it seems who gets a little bit easier to learn others languanges, but 7 languanges isn't to anyone, They're very smart.
A Julia é tão fofa e carismática! É apaixonante ver ela conversando e sendo tão simpática!
Wouu how talented these two women, it learns a new lenguage is an amazing experience in our lives, congratulations each❤
Her Japanese is so cute and it’s really interesting that she has Korean like Japanese accent🤔🤔
What a great video!! Since it was asked: My native language is German, but I can also speak English fluently, Italian (I’m studying it at university), a little bit of Spanish, I understand Latin, a little bit of Korean, a little bit of Japanese, a little bit of Swedish and I understand French and a little bit of Portuguese😊

My god, what an amazing real life super power, I am native Spanish speaker (theirs was absolutely flawless) and I speak English and a little bit of Japanese, but they are so eloquent and natural, I’m so jealous in a good way 😮
I thought that Jolien didn't have any accent but when she said her exchange was in BH I get it why I thought this it's because I am from Belo Horizonte.😂
Put these two in a video with Ana and Draga, please! 😃
And make it as a game for them to predict the meaning of other languages they are not familiar with (based on writing or listening). Like Thai, Xosa, etc. It would be lots of fun! 😊
Or a trivia quiz with a randomiser button where they must only answer the question in specific language. As this video has once again shown, it's always exciting whenever they interact in different languages. 😊
These can be a series of its own. 😉👍🏻
