Simply wow. I saw these kind of houses in England. Their villages are well maintained and very clean. It's all because of the discipline, cleanliness maintain by the local people.

Most are these villages are now second home theme parks for rich executives from London. They appear for a few weeks every year, expect all the shops to be open to cater for them(they usually aren't because all the locals have been forced out by the ridiculous property prices) and then leave the village an empty wasteland for the rest of the year.

THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE, AND INSURANCE COMPANIES CHARGE HIGH PRICES BECAUSE OF IT. DESPITE BEING SPRAYED WITH FIRE RETARDENT CHEMICALS.
You vl find such houses in south and north canara dist of karnataka.
Me and my forefathers lived simillar houses.
That was british inheritence for coastal karnataka.
