How do you guys think Layton Lake compares to the other maps?
I personally prefer Yukon to Layton but Layton have a still a great map 👍
@@AgriAlfie Yukon is a solid map. Some of those areas are breathtaking. Especially those red hills filled with bison, and the burnt down forest

I love Layton Lakes as a map, but my animals’s need zones are a pain in the ass. They no longer drink, eat, or sleep in the central parts of the map (along the water banks) like they used to.
Now they’re all in the super hidden areas and just hard to find. What used to be a well populated map, is now a ghost town. 😕

Same here. It seems like it's almost bugged for a lot of people. I played this game a lot when it first came out and it was WAY more populated than it is now. I'm literally only seeing 10% - 20% of the animals that I used to see on Layton Lakes. They turned it into a snoozefest. I also noticed that most animals shake off shots of .270 as well, which never used to happen. It seems really bugged. The weird thing is that it doesn't seem to be this way for everyone based on what I've been reading. Some people have the low population issue, and others (like Rooster here) do not.
He literally shot more animals in the first 6 minutes of this video than I do in 3 hours of gameplay.
Same here, no animals anywhere and need zones don't work. Game's boring as shit.

I just started playing a couple of weeks ago and shot a blacktail at 400 yds with a 7mm. Shot one blacktail drinking and when I went to get it, the deer had floated to the side of the lake from which I shot it - that was weird. I looked all around the opposite shore for it. It's been fun playing.

By the way do you thinking about filling the free lodge? All animals can be found at layton and hirschfelden. If you want to get good tophies go multiplayer you have more chanse to get diamonds
If I can find the diamonds I'll definitely fill it up. I don't really ever okay multiplayer though. I don't know why but it feels weird to me to not play on my own maps
The binoculars in this game can spot animals thru hills and trees n really pisses me off cause i cant tell if there like in shade n hard too see or like legit on the other side ofa hill like wtf game
I've never had that issue. If they are behind any cover they are near impossible to spot for me

Either silver ridge or the Savannah but If you want to just walk around and blast stuff get rev coast

Anyone can explain to me, what is that pink/dark zone in the map?
That's your hunting pressure. It's centered over where you hit the animal (if it dies), and if it get's bright enough it'll temporarily delete the need zones in that location. Being in a tree stand or using a bow reduces the amount of hunting pressure made. A lot of people are OBSESSED with having no hunting pressure and freaking out if your zones disappear or move. As you can probably tell by the video, I don't really give a shit 😂 I like the pretty colors

Find the need zones and play more I’m on day 5 and it’s getting much better
Yeah im starting to find alot more animals now. I got like 20 ish water zones for whitetails. Just got the top left and middle of layton lake left. Also that 7mm is way better then the 243
