You'll love this dish if you like spicy food!! :) I made cold noodles in one of the older videos using chili oil! Feel free to check that out! It is more of a Sichuan style but it should be close to what you had in Changsha! :)

I've been making my own Sichuan food since there are so few decent restaurants here. I lived in China for over ten years and was lucky enough to have an ayi from Sichuan who taught me how to cook some Sichuan food. I love your recipes! I would love to see your version of 鸡丝凉面, I have tried making it many times and while I like the results, mine never quite seems the same as what I ate in China.

Hi Yi, I made the eggplant and it was a success. This recipe looks amazing and easy.. Can you please share just how to make simple vegetables like bok choy.. Also can you please teach how to make Sichuan green beans and Water Boiled Fish. Thank you !!
It depends on the hot pot base or the mala stir fry sauce you are using! Most store bought sauce should have plenty of salt but definitely try it out and add salt to your taste 😀

Typically the store bought base is salty enough! But you can always taste for salt ☺️
If i do cook this, i will add 1.5 tbs soya sauce, 1-1.5 tsp fish sauce 1 tsp sugar n salt for more taste.
