- Step by step guide to learn about high jump. Most drills on this video can be done in your back garden. They start basic and get more detailed, but they are lots of fun to do, great for kids, aspiring athletes and elite level. Step by step commentary from world leading British high jump coach Fuzz Caan.
Amazing I’ve just started coaching 8-13 yr olds and this gives me so much to work with and slowly build with them , thanks!
This is superb and very informative! Thank you, I hope that more is to come.
This is a fantastic video! Well done
What are your thoughts on young athletes (U12 down down) doing barefoot scissor jumps over a bungee into a 30cm gymnastics mat either on grass or a sprung gymnastics floor?
hey quick question. Why does Stefan look like he's getting lower as he gets closer to the bar?
Great job, Coach Caan!
Question - how about "dosage"? Of course this depends on how far the individual has progressed? But how often do you spend on these drills typically? Twice a week?
Once for youngsters 11-14. Twice for more serious athletes, 14-18. Three times per week for more established athletes. 18- onwards. Smarter to load year on year. Better to avoid overload and not be injured, than become injured by overload.
@@fuzzcaan6863 - Thanks!
where can I find the video of the stick going over the high jump bar?
Dear Lisa Here is a link to a video that has the stick clip. I hope that helps. czcams.com/video/HspzxKXhpzk/video.html
