    Did you know the difference between a condo and a townhouse? Let me know below in the comments.

    As a former townhouse owner, I know that your well-being is about your neighbors. I was unlucky and had a loud neighbor whose kids ran up and down the stairs until midnight. It was difficult to sleep. I sold mt townhouse in 1 year and bought a house instead. Of course, I have more maintenance work now with a house, but I enjoy having a private yard and not having neighbors too close 🙂

      @@rainyroad87 I'm considering a townhouse condo because I'm single and only need one bedroom and one bathroom but I don't like noise from neighbors or high monthly condo fees. Thanks for your insight!

    Honestly it's fine with me I think I rather live either a townhouse or a condo, because sounds like more of a convenience to me compared to living in a individual house, because I think I rather pay the fees to keep my property maintained rather than just do it myself and going through all the headaches.

    This is what we are trying to figure out in Queens NY. Condos are cheaper, but maintenance is very high and has a lot of amenities we don’t need.

    • @BaldPrairieRealEstate
      @BaldPrairieRealEstate  Před 2 lety +2

      This answer is going to sound like a non-answer but it really is the best answer I can give. Buy what suits your needs best and is within your financial capacity. If condos are cheaper but do not fill your needs it doesn't matter that it is cheaper because you won't be happy with the purchase and want to move sooner.

    Well I don’t recommend a town home unless you like getting told what to do, with “your house”. I baccked into our turn around lane last night getting ready to head out of town. 2 unit town home mind you. I was towed within 20min. No warning. $560. This is what they do, and the neighbors are always helpful in telling on you. I’ve hated it ever since I moved into the townhome. A condo probably has more rules.

    For investment purposes condo or house?

    • @BaldPrairieRealEstate
      @BaldPrairieRealEstate  Před 4 lety +3

      That is a little bit of an apples or oranges question. Condos are often "simpler" to rent out because of their low maintenance. A single-family home potentially has a wider pool of potential renters but will require more maintenance.
      Both can have their benefits you just need to look at what fits your comfort level more.

    Random Topic: One garage vs Two Garage. Which would give you a better return on your investment. The average household income in the area is $96,000 with an average selling price at or around $750,000. The properties difference is about $100k with 1 garage = 30 foot vs 2 = garage 36. Is it worth spending the extra if you are looking at flipping the unit in a year's time or so. Location Western Ontario

      That is a really interesting question. I think you are going to have to check what is allowed under zoning laws first. A tiny house many not fit within zoning regulations.
