Hey Kate, you can purchase sticky or jasmine rice pre made in 1 person portions. Itâs very good by veetee. Itâs not the pouches but in a white tray. I cook rice the traditional Persian way but before I was taught I didnât know you should was the rice until the water runs clear in a large bowl slowly moving the rice around. đ„Č we leave ours to soak for a few hours but you can skip this step. It removes some of the starch x
I hate cooking rice too!! My husband loves it though so we finally gave in and bought a rice maker on amazon... literal life saver. Measure the stuff, push a button and walk away, highly recommend!!!! Such a nice relaxing video to watch, thanks for the chill Saturday night :)

Hey. A tip for cooking rice. Double up on the water quantity and you canât go wrong. So say itâs 100g of rice, put the rice into a mug and whatever the level is just double it for your water. So say itâs a full cup of rice add 2 cups of water to your pot. Donât keep stirring the rice just let it simmer. To check if itâs ready tip the pot a little and if no water is swimming around itâs ready. Hope that helps âșïž

Hey, for your rice the key is to wash it well before cooking. I try to wash and drain it twice until the water is clear-ish. By the second wash I get lazy and stop. Normally the water to rice ratio is 2:1. So 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice, regardless of the instructions. Every stove and pot is different which may affect the cooking process, but these tips can work for any one. To check the process of your rice, just use a spoon to taste and push aside the rice to check the water level. If your rice is still hard, just add a little bit of water evenly to the pot. Oh, it's easier to salvage hard rice than mushy, so adding water as you cook is better than adding too much.

I was like that with rice , I find that if you just do it with water like spaghetti ( don't weight it out) without a lid , bring to the boil from cold then turn it to about 5 gas mark.. drain it when 12 mins is up( whatever time is stated).it comes perfect.. ...trying to use the water up just makes it go mushy...hope this helps next time â€ïž love your channel too đ

For the rice, if its simple white rice, 1 to 2, 1 of rice and 2 of water. I always let the water come to a boil, than put salt and a bit of oil in, than put the rice in. Stir and let it cook for 20 min on the lowest flame (here i have one that has a scale of 3, so i put it on 0,5) after 20 min, fluff the rice and let it sit for 5 more min if you want. đ maybe it helps someone heređ

Love your vlogs! Iâm wondering if the rice issue is that sushi rice is just generally sticky to make it easier to roll into sushi! I use basmati, cook for 8 & then drain, lid on & sit for 10. Perfect everytimeđđœ

What a nice surprise! A Vlog on Monday! I thought you might not this week. Btw. You shouldn't be using that Vitamin C anymore. When vitamin C gets that dark orange color it's âexpiredâ. When it's fresh it should be clear and you can use it until it gets yellowish. Besides that, it is a really good one.

Oh it's annoying when the rice goes all stodgy and sticky. But if you only stir it once it's perfect every time. I remember learning it from a Chinese chef. Just keep any eye on water and I usually have to add a little extra in.
