Agree 100%, been calling for Gio to start at 10 for weeks, more effective than madders against the ball and when getting into deeper position. Also one of few in the team that can bang a good shot on target from outside the box.

Gio is the most skilled midfielder we have with a vision to make a game winning pass more than just once in a game ... dont let him go ..
Which is great when he's fit. Unfortunately he hasn't been for a lot of the games since we got him.

This is what I was saying last year in the chat on your podcasts. Spurs haven't got to the point where they can just stockpile top quality players like Liverpool and City can and then expect them to be content sitting on our bench. Many of these players have options and, in some cases, at better or more successful clubs than our own. The moment they're put into a position where they're sidelined, many of them will exercise those options.
El Khannous is absolutely skilled & has so much potential, he would be a great signing for spurs
Hold on Sean you me and thousands of Spurs fans have been saying for the past 2 years how great it is what Brighton have done and the unknown player they've unearthed and Spurs should do this, but 6 months in to this project you've given up and want monster names now.
Was thinking the same about Maddison/Lo Celso while watching the game Saturday. I do think we need to change something with our attacking players and giving Lo Celso a go is a good shout. If nothing else it gives a Maddison a kick up the arse. Not sure if I'd have the balls to do it for Arsenal though!!
I would, Maddison will embarrass us if he plays bad against arsenal so I will take a shot at lo celso
I think it’s been a tough year so far ,we’re not to sure of our best two or three midfielders or our best forwards the only thing we seem to have figured out is our defence and even that’s not really working .Not sure if the players are still on board with this style of play,that’s just my thoughts COYS
Hopefully, he does start. Our midfield seems out of ideas at the moment, so he should be given a chance. That's why you have a squad so you can rotate when players aren't playing well.
We should be playing both lo celso and madd’s, we need creativity atm, Biss been terrible so has bentencur…

Fellow fans have to be more honest, I backed Ange ball at the start of the season as did the players, our early season form was superb. To a man they are ALL a million miles from it now. Canny manager's will be watching and Ange would be a fool to ignore it, I do not like his answers at the moment, tactically he seems lacking a bit for me. Some games can be like a game of chess in the prem, we have been totally done by Fulham and Newcastle !
I think Ange likes to act rigid but he's more flexible in practice.. he does not like to give up much insight into his plans.. give him time and agood summer transfer window 🙏

You say you've seen Angeball I don't think youve seen anywhere near it yet ,glimpses here and there . The midfield seems a problem imo,100% need a number 6 like mcgregor ,don't think kulusevski (on the right ) works ,or richarlison is the quality you need up front .
Can't remember his name but there was a dm I watched playing for atletico Madrid, he was class and just the type you need as a DLP

I think Maddison could be an actual liability against the gooners. It seems now that teams target him because he’s easy to wind up and potentially against our fiercest rivals could be sent off…bring him on maybe 65 minutes and he could turn the game but currently his form and temperament seemed to be questionable
Agree. Gio should start. If he gets injured, so be it and he doesnt play again but as long as he is fit to play why not? Play Maddison, Gio and Bentancur as your midfield and sub with Kulu if its not working

Vangelis Pavlidis? Big strong boy? Top scorer in Eredivisie. AND THE GREEK CONNECTION WITH ANGE....Think he is worth a look especially since we lack an aerial threat up front at the moment.
Keep doing what we're doing. One big name. Couple less so but quality and a couple of youngsters with big potential.
Maybe (shock horror) see what some of the academy players can do. Look at mainoo and palmer. Our academy boys are top of the league.

Lo Celso, can even start at the 8 over Bissouma with Bentancur at the 6, Also we can try Lo Celso as a 10 and Maddison on the LW.
We are looking at players who are for top 4 level if they do very well, and what we need is players who if do well can be top 5-10 in the world on there possition. That is not Tosin, but Braitwhite or Silva from Benfica, not whom ever for the 6, but Neves maybe from Benfica, striker like Isak or Sesko or Osimehn, not anothre Richarlison or Veliz.
Lo celso always seems a tackle away from getting on a stretcher.

Exactly, people like to point the finger at Maddison when if you watch, he barely getting the ball when he is in the right position etc.. Our front 3 have been terrible, especially Son!
AZ striker Pavlidis had 1 year left in his contact. He scored more goals than Gimenez. He looks like a bargain.
Absolutely it should be his chance. Yes he was out injured for a couple of months, but Maddison has been poor since he returned. I’d much rather go 433 and put Maddison on the bench. It’s not as if he’s been contributing in an attacking sense as some sort of compensator for our defensive woes.

For this run in I would start LoCelso Sarr Bentancur or Maddison LoCelso Bentancur

Hey Sean, if they are looking at right sided centre backs does that mean Romero will play in the 6?
Get a faster right sided centre back more in the VDV model - better suits Agnes system and we get a monster 6 in Romero

So many tottenham fans are very reactionary. On good days they are ange in and on bad days they are ange out. I’m a believer in ange, I need someone to tell me what coach is better and tell me that these players are capable of winning the league. Spurs are right where they are supposed to be, maybe one or two spots higher but these players aren’t capable of winning the league against Man city or Liverpool. Be happy spurs are playing progressive football and hope they get the players needed to win the league.
Progressive football It's awful football every week and we keep conceding and don't look like scoring. We are easy to play against. That's regression!!

Sorry Sean, I don't agree with your view that Tosin Adarabioyo is a 'wonderful player'. In fact, I don't think he's anywhere near good enough. He's not even a regular in the Fulham team. I'd be very underwhelmed if we sign him.
Gio has start at least the next 3 games & if he doesn't, I'm really at the end of tether with this Club! Maybe even start Madders with him in home games! #COYS

Yes, drop Maddison, been thinking that for the past few games, he struggled when under tight pressure, opponents have all realised that and he cannot function under tight spaces in intense games, esp with his physique.

We have the training facilities the Stadium the Boss it must be time to build the team. Stop going out and getting players that the board fancy and ask Ange who he wants. Don't really see the point in signing anyone Sean given that we only play in one half of the pitch.
The players have no room to move, no room to think and no room to put any tactics into play.
If you liken football to a game of chess, what you don't do is move all your pieces forward and leave your King (Goalkeeper) totally exposed.
Also if you manage to get a Pawn to the other end of the board you swap it for the best piece that your opponent has captured ( our subs ).
Our Officially appointed managers have just kept playing the same old, same old; Which gives our opponents all the advantages which they don't even have to earn.
A team that has taken a few recent bashings needs a freshen up. New signings aren't the answer, but a manager who can assess and change to blunt the opposition, to put us on the front foot for a change, is.

No, I don't expect nothing from Lo Celso. He may be a great player for another club but his heart is not at Spurs. I rather put Skipp back in rotation.
He doesnt deserve a start. He plays well in cameos. Gets a Start plays poorly, then gets injured for a few weeks.
Talk is cheap. If Lo Celso started against Newcastle with a 4-0 loss the fan base would have gone crackerjack about not playing Madison. The truth of the matter is that Gio and PEH when started games have not set the world on fire and taken their chances to alter thinking other than good subs.
Son has been awful for most of the season except for a handful of games. Kulu has dropped off massively since his partner has been pregnant. Maddison has been rubbish for 3 months and is now becoming toxic on the squad. Bissouma has dropped off massively. Udogie isnt attacking like he was. Porro has been poor defensively. Romero is lazy and takes too long to pass the ball. Vicario is horrible at corners and set pieces. Sarr has been good at times, poor at other times. Ange has overrated Bissouma, Maddison, Werner, Son.
Ange should play 3 at the back. Vdv, Romero, Dragusin. 5 in the middle Udogie(wing back) Porro (wing back) Sarr 6 Bentancur 8 Lo Celso 10. Two upfront Son and Johnson or Richie. We need Dragusin for set pieces, corners. Udogie and Porro need to start attacking down the wings while also helping defensively. Ange needs to bring his line back by 15-20metres. Spurs must focus on stopping teams scoring as we cant score goals to save ourself until we get in a decent striker and wing. Ange needs to play for a draw and hope we catch teams on the counter attack. Exactly what they are mostly doing to us. If Levy doesnt back Ange he should leave before he is sacked.

But Ange has apparently decided that his approach - honed to perfection in A, J and SP leagues😢 - is perfect for the PL. I worry, increasingly, that his inflexibility will fail us.

I'm happy Ange has a spine and isn't panicking like some fans are.
We've scored more goals than last season, we've conceded less goals, we have more points, we're higher up the table, the highs have been higher and the lows haven't been as low.
We had a great start which showed the potential of how we play. We had severe disruption in the squad with injuries, suspensions, international tournaments and new signings adjusting to how we play for successive months. Other teams are also adjusting to us.
Fans were calling for Ange to change his game plan 15 games into his reign at Spurs. We come out the other side and now we've had another dip its happening again.
Dips in form are normal. This is all to be expected this early on. Yes, we need to adjust a little, but wholesale changes are counter productive.

There's absolutely no point in giving Lo Celso lots of time in the team if his entourage are putting feelers out in the press about a move.... Maddison is here for the long haul, so it benefits Tottenham and Maddison for him to be playing himself into fitness, match sharpness, and helping the team develop their chemistry with him.
I would love to see Maddison and Lo Celso both playing, but I think the balance of the team doesn't benefit from that. Maybe we could push Maddison to that role on the left wing where he does so much of his best work, but then you're shoehorning one of our best players into a different role to fit a player in whom isn't commited to the project.
We're trying to grow. Making wholesale changes and temporary adjustments just delays the growth for the team.

Let’s be real, it doesn’t matter what playmaker we throw in when our forward 3 have been woeful… you could put KdB in there and he’d look terrible just because of how bad our front 3 are. It also doesn’t help that Bissouma has been awful too, so having him plus the front 3 around you playing awful, is maddison or lo celso ever going to look good around that? Definitely not. Ppl need to stop pointing fingers at Maddison tbh, he has done more than Son lately, Son has been terrible, losing easy balls and costing us goals because we’re caught out of position..
We just need the right players. This is a season of building.
