Jerry Jones entitling himself to the GMs role in perpetuity is one of the most ridiculous things in the history of pro sports
Jerry the GM hasn’t been 1/2 the problem that Jerry “The owner” has been. Jerry is a 1%er. Very few people are that successful and humble? He built and destroyed his team….all in his image. Fame is his drug. He is one of the owners who has capitalized the most on making a team a “billion dollar business”….and so win or lose… the soap opera that is Dallas remains relevant like the old show.
I often wonder how grown men love wrestling??? But it’s the pageantry…the story lines…the heroes/villains. The Cowboys provide all of it…and as a Giants fan… I appreciate their dysfunction

It is sustainable .. You need a QB like Brady who will take a lower salary if you'll get him good players. Patriots dynasty was built that way. Brady took low pay from 2006 forward.

Darryl, Thank you for explaining this. I agree it is all about the cap space and money allotted. How you spend it. Houston on paper has a sifgnificant better roster now. But the game is played on the field not on paper! It is a long season! GO COWBOYS!

Dallas has imploded. 5 starters gone, CDee and Parsons both talking crap,while wanting a ton of money. They are left with a giant contract (Dak) preventing them from acquiring quality players. It's a TOTAL mess with the only option being finish 2024 dump Dak and McCarthy and rebuild

Cant wait to see Dak running for his dear life making him appreciate a good line which could be GREAT if they had the money to grab some FA linemen help but gee its a mystery where all that missing money is. And he thinks its perfectly fine that his playoff stage fright skills should be paid even more money. The Jones' have had enough of that bullshit and THATS why they're forcing him to do more with less talent around him. We'll be getting our new QB of the future in the 2025 draft after taking a dive this next season. The uglier, the better for our draft position. And for all those out there that want to defend his pay scale, just know he is NOT a Patrick Mahomes, nor Aaron Rodgers. Never been past the 2nd round of the playoffs but lots of you want him to get an extension with a $20M raise per year? Taking away $20M that COULD go towards some of those prized free agents? Nah, no more tick Dak sucking the life out of this teams future potential.
The only reason this “transition” is so sad is the team got better, than wasted, but not at QB yet the QB is there with nothing to show but insanely incompetent tape against good teams.
