- Enter the Gungeon - Ser Junkan from Supply Drop Update. This cool (and cute) guy upgrades when you pick up junk.

Ser Junkan follows the player around and targets enemies. Picking up Junk levels him up:
●No Junk (Peasant): Harmlessly pushes enemies around.
●1 Junk (Squire): Starts slowly attacking enemies, dealing 3 damage per hit.
●2 Junk (Hedge Knight): Attacks more frequently and deals 5 damage per hit.
●3 Junk (Knight): Attacks more frequently and deals 7 damage per hit.
●4 Junk (Knight Lieutenant): Deals 9 damage per hit.
●5 Junk (Knight Commander): Starts using a spin attack, which deals 10 damage per hit, hits twice, and can hit multiple enemies at once.
●6 Junk (Holy Knight): Deals 13.33 damage per hit. Occasionally runs towards the player and blanks. If the player dies, Ser Junkan will sacrifice himself, reviving the player at full health.
●7 Junk (Angelic Knight): Rapidly fires pink projectiles that deal 10 damage. Loses the ability to blank and to save the player.
※ 6 Junk (Holy Knight) blank effects works with ammolets. - Hry
I remember I basically did the entire bullet hell with half a heart and made it to the lich and got hit immediately and was like "eh it was a good run" then this clutch little angel comes and took that bullet for me so i could win. Didnt know he did that until then but I couldnt be happier that I won but sadder that he wasnt there at the end
You can always place his heart in a new paper bag... And do it all over again

Grenade launcher is pretty effective against kill pillars. It damages all of them when they clump together and also destroys some of their bullets.
UtherSwagBringer That’s true. But it’s really hard to keep full health to use the beam unless you use the shortcut
Junkan is the real reason we play the game. I remember when I first got Junkan in a run.
I already knew about his existence, and that he upgraded with junk, so I was like "oh sweet, I already have some good guns so I'll blast open every chest I see now."
Made it to The Hollow, if I remember correctly, and I was irritated and looking around for the last piece of junk I needed to get him to max.
One unfair room, and I died.
I remember clear as day saying: "Welp, it was a good run. Guess I'll never see a max Junkan."
When I saw the brave little hero jump in front of the bullet, I was completely awestruck.
Unfortunately I died to the Wallmonger right after.
Holy knight Ser Junkan accompanied me to my 3rd ever High Dragun and saved me so much health during the 1st phase, thanks to his blanks, also fought like a furious savage during the whole fight. At the second phase I had 1 heart and I got hit twice like a complete ass. Just when I thought it's all over, this guy took a bullet for me, saving my whole run.
I didn't know that he could do anything like this, but that was one of the best moments in my gaming career. Ser Junkan is a true hero

Actually he’s not dead, remember the shot the kill us when we out of health is actually from the gun that can kill the past, every time we die we got shot back to the breach so when he got shot, he just go back to the moment before we pick him
The sad think is if he doesn’t reach that level or exceed it, he has to watch us die and to be abandoned in the gungeon

I always thought it said "Next time who is he" because the chest held a support character but since you broke it you got him instead, but I guess it's just a 20% chance that he will replace regular junk

epic feeling when reach dragon for the first time with my loyal Junkie, i almost beat him and then at last stage of final fight i die.... and then Junkie beeing a hero that he is sacrafices himself so i can beat a run for the first time and listen to this. RIP Junkie, a junk, a friend a hero.

When the very brave Knight of sir junken died there was silence in the place and when the dust settled all the hero could do was sit next to the Knight and cry and the next day the funeral started and the priest's words were "As you know a great man has fallen and because of his sacrifice the dungeon went with him he was a great man but his time has come" and his mother started to cry and his dad holding her, his wife walked to his grave, looked at it and put down some flower's and their son said "Mommy will dad come back? What about the Golden armor he gets when you pick golden junk? It makes him totally OP, the first I killed the dragun was thanks to him. I picked ser junkan in the first or second floor and got the golden junk immediately after, then I found the battle standards in the third room, the only good weapon I found was the tentacle and I felt like I was the one assisting him for most the run

i have a quesiton about sir junken. so looking at the wiki he has a 20 percent chance of replacing normal junk upon destroyinga chest. but after you upgrade him toa certain level he becomes unlocked as a regular item and ahs a lowe chance of replacing normal junk. when ilook at my item list i see junk next time use a key. and junk next time who is he. so have i unlocked him as a normal item or not?

Sorry for late reply. When looking at Ammonomicon Entry, if it is listed "Next time... who is he?" it is considered you have unlocked Ser Junkan.

Nonono, this is all wrong and so are the replies. Ser Junkam is unlocked after you kill a boss with it, then he has a 0.5% chance to replace junk OR an item that was in a chest. the "next time... who is he?" tag just means that item _is_ ser junkan.

Every one talking about how sad it is that zero junken saves you but no one talking about how they change it from 15% to 5% chance of him dropping it took someone 4000 try’s and resets just to get him

I did a run today and got something called the golden junk and i had already gotten junken so he turned into mech junken it also happen to be my first time beaten the dragon I didn’t beat my past though

It was my second fight vs the dragón(finnaly got the bullet that kills the last) with my junky and i leave him one touch and i was ;-; good run i gues and junky jumps in clutch and i win i was amazed jilledy pastor and sad because junky died

Personally I prefer holy knight over angelic knight, for many reasons.
Cactus Companion Holy knight=Defensive
Angelic knight=Offensive
GOLD JUNK THO
Who also noticed that they took damage right at the end there.
I did a junkan run and the angelic knight didn't save me :c
