    Check out my review of the Sun Joe Electric Pressure Washer. I attach the garden hose and plug it in, showing you exactly how it works for the very first time. I add a universal cleaning detergent and a diluted car wash detergent in the two tanks.

    Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use czcams.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

    I'm a Senior Senior. My skill level even as a young Senior? Don't ask me to screw in a lightbulb or "tighten" anything.
    My wife purchased the Sun Joe washer 2 years ago as a "gift" for me. I delayed using it until I came across your video and you explained the steps. I cleaned the asphalt driveway before it was going to be sealed and also cleaned a portion of my grimy public walkway. It worked beautifully!
    My Complaint ... She now has now quite a Do List of many things that need cleaning ... deck, chairs, siding, more sidewalks.
    Well, it will, at least, keep me for tightening things. Thanks!

    Man, I wish I watched your vid before I spent 2 hours wondering why the soap tanks didn't do anything even though both were full. The user manual has a NOTE on the next page of "Cleaning with Detergent" where it states "The soap nozzle must be used or it will not dispense soap" or something like that. I thought the soap would dispense with any nozzle...... I didn't realize it until I saw your vid.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  Před 3 lety

      Those are some good questions. The 0 degree nozzle is the one to be careful with. The other ones will give you a chance to test them out without doing damage. I recall spraying some windows with a 0 degree and it warped my fiberglass screens a little. I'd try a 25 degree tip on the stamped concrete to start and see how that work. I also own a turbo nozzle which is good for that type of cleaning too.

    When I purchased my spx3000 I picked up a gallon of ZEP commercial house and siding concentrate wash. I later read this soap is intended for "downstream chemical injector machines" pressure washers, which if I understand correctly are machines that allow the soap and detergents to bypass the pressure pumps. I'm a novice here so I believe my pressure washer allows the soap to circulate thru the machine. I guess what I want to know is what soaps do you use for this machine? I don't want to clog my new machine all up.

    Mark, with the detergent tanks, could it be used with car wash soap...instead of a soap cannon? In your video it looked like it didn’t really lather up. Is that because of your dilution? I don’t understand why SunJoe has a separate Soap Cannon attachment if this pressure washer has 2 detergent tanks. Couldn’t those tanks just be used with car wash soap?

      It says to use green, 25 deg for wood and gray, 40 deg for general cleaning (like a car). Mine also came with 0 deg (red) and 15 deg (yellow), which it said to use for hard surfaces like metal/concrete (not wood). The yellow/red can leave lines/marks on softer surfaces like wood.

    Does your machine make a noise when you release the trigger? Almost a squeaky noise that sounds like a release of pressure? My machine does but I noticed I couldn’t hear anything similar on your machine.

    Great demo, thanks. For a total beginner like me you've done a good thing. One quick question, not sure if there is a clear answer. My machine (identical to yours) makes stop start sounds as opposed to the one hear that seems to make a steady sound. Could this be an issue.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  Před 5 lety

      It's hard for me to say without seeing/hearing it. If you call Sun Joe, you normally get put through to a live support person who might help. One suggestion I have is making sure the water spigot it turned up all the way and to use a normal style garden hose, not the hybrid X-hose, because the water hole is much smaller and possibly restricts water flow and effects the performance of the pressure washer. Hope that helps.

    I tried to use the soap dispenser for the first time today, and even with the right nozzle, it wasn't drawing my soap. Did you have to do anything to the end of the siphon hose in the tank? Like remove any pieces on the tubing?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  Před 6 lety

      If you're using the soap nozzle end and the dial turned all the way to the soap dispenser, then it should work. If not, I recommend making sure the tube is all the way in the solution. After that, I would contact Sun Joe. Their service dept does an amazing job!
