I went on the Carnival Triumph last December and I can honestly say the staff was very hard working and great. Definetely one of the best vacations I've had.

Well when the public are looking for dirt cheap cruises that's what you get a Greyhound bus on water you want something nicer try Royal Caribbean Norwegian Cruise line or my favorite Holland America you get what you pay for:-)
I used carnival for a 7 day cruise! LOVED EVER MINUTE OF IT!!!! Food was delish, music, movie night, the people, being under the night stars it was just beautiful! Sometimes things just happen, that are out of our control though. Unfortunate that it happened but hey a broke down ship is better than a sinking ship anyday. Glad these people made it home safely though

Since I had already paid in full my family and I decided to risk and hope for the best. We were just on this ship last week on a 5 day cruise and it was surprisingly amazing. Don't have a single complaint everything went as planned and it was a great experience. Things happen and sometimes out of carnival's control. Overall great time

I'm just glad we had a great experience. We chose carnival bc it was convenient. We live in SC & the boat was leaving out of Charleston, so all we had to do was drive 3hrs rather than 12 to Florida. I don't think any other cruises lines leave out of Charleston SC.
I remember going on Carnival Triumph as a kid in the early 2000s. It was the first time I had ever been on a cruise and I absolutely had a blast on it. When I heard about what happened on Triumph and how people were forced to essentially live with no power, poor ventilation, backed up sewage, and rations of food, I was shocked it was the same ship I had been on almost 10 years prior. I can't imagine what a vacation like that is like in a ship that size. Glad I experienced that ship in its better days. I know they gave that ship a deep cleansing and repair after that "poop voyage" but I don't know if I personally would ever go on that ship knowing what had happened during it.
barnesfam It was a great experience being my first ship and all. I only have one complaint and that is the food was not as good as it could have been. But the crew itself was really polite, really helpful and did an all around great job.
Brenda Trump I’ve been on two before and the worst thing that happened is terrible rocking that only caused me a upset stomach. The rest was fun, but at night it goes much faster and feels worst on the first night. Be prepared, especially if it’s windy! Good luck!
I went on Carnival conquest in January, very nice staff and caring. I wouldn’t worry. Worst thing that happened to be was a little bit of rocking when going through to Bahamas, but that’s normal.

I have been on the triumph and it was the best vacation of my life! Before we left the dock they were painting the spot the ship hit the dock. We went to Cozumel, Mexico and I would recomend going to paradise beach.

Two years ago in September, I was stuck on the Carnival Vista Cruise Ship due to Hurricane Irma wiping everything out! Our original 5 night/6 day cruise, ended up being 15 days long. It was quite the experience!! One I surely will NEVER forget!!
Kamari Lee - Yeah, it was pretty crazy! We were on the news labeled, “The Cruise Ship with no Destination”. lol. Didn’t see land for a total of 8 days. Never been more relieved when we finally got back into the port and walked off that ship! Haha. However, that was only a small fraction of the craziness during that trip actually. Good olè me held up the cruise ship from departing on time from the Cozumel port for a total of 40 minutes due to traffic I didn’t account for when trying to get back from a “hot rendezvous” in Cancun. It is seriously quite the story! Everything that could happen, happened on that trip but hands down it was the vacation of a lifetime! ❤️😆 I have another cruise booked for this September on Royal Caribbean. We’ll see how this one goes...🤞🏼

I've been on the triumph and I loved it. The news only focuses on the bad things why can't they say something positive? People give carnival a bad wrap but they're my favorite cruise line hands down I've been on 13 cruises and carnival has been my favorite. Planes crash and go missing all the time killing more people than cruises recently have so why does the press feel the need to target cruises?

2:20 the engine fire in like 2010? My aunt was on it. She said it was like an extra 3 days of the cruise. It was like an extended cruise for her! You just had to follow staff directions and it was fun.
I feel bad for the people caught on board, and while Carnival does seem to have a reputation for having problems, this is not their fault. Ships have been breaking loose from moorings for a long as ships existed. You can't control nature and a mooring line can only take so much stress. This same thing could happen to any ship under windy conditions. The focus of the story here shouldn't be ship itself, it should be the rescue effort. Leaving these people stranded for days is unacceptable. At least nobody got hurt though.
My 1st cruise was on a small carnival out of Tampa and my 2nd cruise was a big royal Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale and damn the royal Caribbean is 10X better then the carnival
I remember I had just took my Carnival Cruise when these two incidents followed shortly after. I was already afraid bc one night out ship was rocking wayyy harder than normal and ot felt like a scene out of a movie. Seeing nothing but high waves and miles of darkness with no other ships or land really had me so anxiety. As much fun as I had, I think I'm good on cruises still.
Rose C same here ! We only had a tiny problem with the ship when we tried docking in Cozumel , the waves were awful so the boat was rocking but they gave us a refund in the form of on ship credit and we had another fun day at sea since we couldn't safely dock. ☺love carnival !
Been on 3 carnival cruises and on of them was on this vessel. Never had any kind of issues, loved it told myself since the first I would try and go on one once a year. Never had any issues, has a harbor tug captain, and knowing vessels, I can tell you things break. It happens, sucks it's on a boat like there where a main engine failure affects people.
I've been on four cruises, all a week long on the Carnaval and i loved every bit of it. only once have i experienced choppy seas but never had any technical issues
MY wife and kid was on this ship October 22 2017 we had no problems at all everyone was nice and they treated you very well I would take another trip on this same ship anytime thank you Carnival for the best time of my life

It’s not the whole ship, All ships have problems. They refurbished it as the Carnival Sunrise now and I went on it in November and it was a great cruise. Accidents can always be fixed.

I went on Carnival Cruise & it was Fantastic. We loved every minute of it. The ship was clean, the food was great, the entertainments was Awesome.
But compared to other ones, carnival is nothing . But there was food was good but that’s about it

Two years ago in September, I was stuck on the Carnival Vista Cruise Ship due to Hurricane Irma wiping everything out! Our original 5 night/6 day cruise, ended up being 15 days long. It was quite the experience!! One I surely will NEVER forget!!

Kamari Lee - Yeah, it was pretty crazy! We were on the news labeled, “The Cruise Ship with no Destination”. lol. Didn’t see land for a total of 8 days. Never been more relieved when we finally got back into the port and walked off that ship! Haha. However, that was only a small fraction of the craziness during that trip actually. Good olè me held up the cruise ship from departing on time from the Cozumel port for a total of 40 minutes due to traffic I didn’t account for when trying to get back from a “hot rendezvous” in Cancun. It is seriously quite the story!
Everything that could happen, happened on that trip but hands down it was the vacation of a lifetime! ❤️😆
I have another cruise booked for this September on Royal Caribbean. We’ll see how this one goes...🤞🏼
Sometimes I rethink why we gave up the ships that can Handle Waves with Engines that can run up to 45 knots unlike the the newer Ships with 22 knots in top

I've been on the triumph and I loved it. The news only focuses on the bad things why can't they say something positive? People give carnival a bad wrap but they're my favorite cruise line hands down I've been on 13 cruises and carnival has been my favorite. Planes crash and go missing all the time killing more people than cruises recently have so why does the press feel the need to target cruises?

+Kieren Graham I went on the Carnival Breeze 2-3 weeks ago. Wonderful cruise and beautiful ship. I agree with you. Things like this happen. No one expected the engine to malfunction. They did the best they could in that situation.

2:20 the engine fire in like 2010? My aunt was on it. She said it was like an extra 3 days of the cruise. It was like an extended cruise for her! You just had to follow staff directions and it was fun.

I feel bad for the people caught on board, and while Carnival does seem to have a reputation for having problems, this is not their fault.
Ships have been breaking loose from moorings for a long as ships existed. You can't control nature and a mooring line can only take so much stress. This same thing could happen to any ship under windy conditions.
The focus of the story here shouldn't be ship itself, it should be the rescue effort. Leaving these people stranded for days is unacceptable. At least nobody got hurt though.
We were on the MSC Davina. When we docked we were right next to a Carnival. It looked like a motel on water

My 1st cruise was on a small carnival out of Tampa and my 2nd cruise was a big royal Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale and damn the royal Caribbean is 10X better then the carnival

I remember I had just took my Carnival Cruise when these two incidents followed shortly after. I was already afraid bc one night out ship was rocking wayyy harder than normal and ot felt like a scene out of a movie. Seeing nothing but high waves and miles of darkness with no other ships or land really had me so anxiety. As much fun as I had, I think I'm good on cruises still.
I've heard nothing but bad things about carnival, even from people who went on a cruise that had no issues like this. I heard princess is the best.

My brother sails on Carnival all the time and loves it, never had a problem.
Rose C same here ! We only had a tiny problem with the ship when we tried docking in Cozumel , the waves were awful so the boat was rocking but they gave us a refund in the form of on ship credit and we had another fun day at sea since we couldn't safely dock. ☺love carnival !
Been on 3 carnival cruises and on of them was on this vessel. Never had any kind of issues, loved it told myself since the first I would try and go on one once a year. Never had any issues, has a harbor tug captain, and knowing vessels, I can tell you things break. It happens, sucks it's on a boat like there where a main engine failure affects people.
I've been on four cruises, all a week long on the Carnaval and i loved every bit of it. only once have i experienced choppy seas but never had any technical issues
4 TUG BOATS were injured in the incident but doctors say they'll make a full recovery..THIS SHIP IS A JOKE!
MY wife and kid was on this ship October 22 2017 we had no problems at all everyone was nice and they treated you very well I would take another trip on this same ship anytime thank you Carnival for the best time of my life

I have been on plenty of cruises with carnival and they were always amazing. The media always plays things up like that. That was a bad situation. It happens.

These ships are now carrying 3000 to 6000 passengers when something big goes wrong it could be a catastrophe for all on-board.
I see everybody commenting things like “juts throw the ship away” they spent millions of dollars on this and it was a problem that the ship had this one time. It’s not the whole ship, All ships have problems. They refurbished it as the Carnival Sunrise now and I went on it in November and it was a great cruise. Accidents can always be fixed.
