Jay, point of order: We need to stop referring to ourselves as fans and start referring to ourselves as customers, which is what we are. By referring to ourselves as disgruntled customers (which we are) it also starts to short circuit the narrative that we are part of the "toxic fandom."

The worst thing is that I love She Hulk in the comics, I wish they would give the character a full reboot.

When she said that too Hulk about controlling her anger infinitely better than him, I didn't even focus on the fact Hulk had a much harder time, I was caught up in how angry she was getting, while telling him how well she controls her anger

The main problem with Disney, not just Marvel and Star Wars, but Disney in general, is that they’re not hiring people who love the original source material. I understand that some projects want to do something a bit original, but they need to respect what came before. The fact that you have directors, writers, and actors outright saying they didn’t like the source material is an even worse shot in the foot.
Actually, a better idea of Disney blowing their budget is to have all those “angry CZcamsrs” getting into a bar brawl with the writers and actors of these shitty shows and movies, Yellowstone style.

Not just that, Kevin Fiege even enforces writers and directors not to read the comics lol. He’d rather have original storytelling, yet the source material encapsulates everything great about the characters including rich stories that go back decades. I have so many ideas that could fix the mcu, and all it takes is staying true to the actual comic roots, it’s so easy.

@@JoelKellenProductions Stupid decision making, peacemaker actually ended in a way that stayed a little true to the character when he became more heroic after killing his father, and being haunted by his ghost. James Gunn at least respects comics more and integrates his own originality better than most superhero directors. My idea would be to have a true to the source 616 universe set in the 20th century which already separates from the modern future tech mcu. The twist is having this universe take place in a fictionalized reality close to our own with real life history with a lot of the grounded Marvel stories. Here’s how to separate all the characters into major time pieces: Fantastic Four, and Doctor Doom take place during the 1940s to the 60s. X Men First Class- 60s, Uncanny X Men teams including Wolverine, Cyclops and Storm as field leaders, and the Phoenix Saga during the 70s. The onslaught event causes most mutants to be blipped out of reality with only Logan as the last remaining mutant. President Carter would initiate The Avengers in the late 70s as a direct military superhero faction. The Civil War event/ Avengers Disassembled would take place in the early 80s. Spider-Man would become the first masked vigilante along with Daredevil and the rest of the Defenders in the mid 80s, kicking off the crime fighter era. Captain America, Tony Stark, Nick Fury, and Logan would reunite the avengers during the new superhero regime to expose the skrulls infiltrating the government, and going up against Hydra. 90s would be new avengers, and new mutants. 2000’s era would be a Dark Avengers/Devil’s Reign event bringing back the Defenders with Spiderman as the new leader, and eventually taking up Cap’s shield but still wearing his Spider suit. Peter Parker and Ben Reilly would be the only spidermen in this universe and they’re the main heroes with Logan and his daughter Laura outliving everyone till the apocalypse of the next century which I could see happening in our world.
The template was right in front of them Harvey birdman attorney at law. She could be defending obscure marvel characters or defending the avengers for all the destruction they generate. Could have been very funny. Or they could have used the original comic book character who is actually a very compelling character. Telling Bruce banner who has been to hell and back that her getting cat calls from time to time was worse.

I agree! The Sensational She Hulk comic was great in the 80's. The recipe for success was RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM... Don't fix it it's not broken.
They (Disney) did the same thing with all the other MCU shows, movies (except Gaurdians 3) and Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

That's basically what the show did, though? She had a case where Mr Immortal's widows were arguing that "'til death do us part" doesn't apply to people who just come back when they die! And one where Wong was bringing suit against using real mystic arts in Magician stage shows. Personally I would've liked more of that side of things, but it's not like it wasn't there.

Nice explaining here. It's not that we hated She-Hulk and its show, we only hated the bad writing and characteristics on it. If someone competent made a She-Hulk series faithful to the source material, it'll be a complete different story. But I don't trust Disney because they keep lying to their customers and not dumping their Panderstone. 😒💎

There's a 2006 fan movie here on CZcams called _Shamelessly She Hulk_ that not only was made for pretty much no budget at all with the same level of CGI and effects (almost,) but it's very faithful to the Jon Bryne comics and so stupid and comedic, it's legit funny in that "we're aware we don't have a budget" kind of way. They also make She Hulk very charming and sweet too and she's the anthesis of Jessica Gao She-Hulk.
Original Comic book faithful She-Hulk would be awesome right now.

Jessica Gao, Zeb Wells and Cody Ziglar are all writers who worked on She-Hulk. They also worked on Robot Chicken. Why is this important? Because Robot Chicken is a show where pop culture is mocked and where nothing is sacred. The writers of She-Hulk essentially made a Robot Chicken live action version of She-Hulk. They didn't use any of the original source material and definitely didn't try to honor the comic book version of She-Hulk. They satirized it and made a mockery of it.

It makes sense that, if you’re going to invest a lot of money into a show, you’re going to want it to bring eyeballs to your streaming service. Like Snarky said, though, Disney doesn’t seem to care about money or their reputation anymore. It sucks that they’re dragging Walt Disney’s name and legacy down with them.

I was excited when She-Hulk was announced purely for the courtroom drama, so was my wife. Seeing a show about superheroes defending their action in a court of law would have been great. I was hoping for something serious along the lines of Law & Order. The new hair style looks great.

The sad part is that She-Hulk is a great character whose story can easily mesh with the rest of the universe in many ways. Every superhero will obviously need a lawyer for starters. I blame the writing and strongly feel they dropped the ball in day one. I still feel they should have hired a large muscular woman painted her green and then used every forced perspective trick in the book to make her look bigger.

Yeah, personally for me, I was a little upset actually that season 2 of She-Hulk was probably not gonna happen. Now this is not because I’m a big fan of season 1, but because I’m a firm believer in absolution. I was hoping that maybe a second season would be their opportunity to correct the wrongs of the past. But, I guess that won’t happen. I can only hope they learn something from their missteps with not just with She-Hulk, but with their other MCU tv shows that were also not well received. As a die hard comic book movie fan, maybe this is the turning point. Maybe... just maybe they will rethink all that garbage and start over. I'm not excited about any MCU projects. I'm even hesitant over Deadpool 3... a movie that should've been an alley-oop at this point. I will not be renewing my Disney+ once it expires. Hopefully DC can get there stuff together and take the crown.

Also, movies and tv shows as well as video games shouldn't even have multiple scripts to finalize. Each of them just needs 1 script as long as they're done by professionals and not dictated by studio executives over who their shareholders are.
Scripts get passed around through a lot of people. That's how it works. Not always for political purposes.

If you had asked me a week ago whether you should get your hair cut, I would have said "No, keep it long." But now that I'm actually seeing the new haircut, it looks great! You're still just as beautiful as ever!
Also, I'm relieved to hear that "She Hulk" got cancelled! Now I can go back to worrying about the Yellowstone Supervolcano.
I know this is so, so late, but about the whole long hair thing... remember, Catwoman has had pretty short hair for a while now. Not saying the long-hair wasn't super hot back in the 90s (purple body sock best costume fiteme?) but Selina's rocked the short do for ages. Food for thought. I think Jay has pointed out several times that no one has ever seen her and Catwoman in the same room together, after all.
