I love how they hold each other while they sing. It feels like something sacred between mother and daughter. Of course I'm seeing this as an outsider but it makes me just want to be quiet, like I shouldn't disturb them.
"I'm feely verklempt!" Verklempt, or farklempt comes from old German or Yiddish meaning to be overwhelmed. To hear this Inuit woman use that word is startling and inspiring. Long live social and ethnic expansion! Plus their singing is remarkably beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your culture, passion and heritage with us. Being a Canadian, Roman Catholic and human, I want to express my deepest condolences with regards to how Indigenous peoples have been treated. It is unacceptable. Once again, thank you for sharing your heritage, knowledge and love with us. Truly Beautiful! I have so much to learn from my brothers and sisters and we NEED to learn from you, especially with our environment dying. Sending you lots of love and healing.
Throat singing is so cool there are some really good ones. These two I think didn't do as well as some I listened to. The history of this is very interesting.
When I lived in iqaluit, nunavut, I was told it was it was used to put babies to sleep. Because babies are tucked in the hood on the moms back, they could feel it.
I'm not Indian or Inuit but I am Canadian and I cann write music and I would love to write a song that involves the Inuit Canadian Indian an metal music to bring all Canadians together as one
I love inuit throat singing but to be fair, the daughter looks pretty passed off with the whole thing! Bit of a shame because this is important culture and her mum should be respected for what she is doing to preserve iit. So many of these wonderful traditions are close to being lost.
Stage fright, or social anxiety. She is taking all of her ques from her mother. I can understand that to many it comes across as cold, but it is a way to feel protective of oneself.

If you think of human past, this is one of the first forms of music. Utilizing our vocal cords to enjoy the time as it passes by. The rhythmic breathing can cause endorphins to release in your brain, making the experience euphoric.
I DONT GET IT ?! I just don't! Anyone care to enlighten me?? To me it kinda sounds a bit like noises I've heard before, but in a bedroom and not on a stage!!? (I mean no disrespect with that!).
Everything about this is beautiful.
The music.
The culture
The people.
Beautiful.
Couldn't have said it better !
Shut up😎
I agree!! 😍 (I'm a women too!)

Usually this is a game or a competition between two women or girls .

This is so beautiful. The connection with the sounds of nature contrasts so brilliantly with the comedy, 10/10
Are you lying?
7:10 this is soooo hypnotizing, I felt sooo relaxed listening to this
Exactly!
You know it
Agreed

Much gratitude for a wonderful set of stories and song.
Really amazing and beautiful. Many thanks for uploading.
So so beautiful 😍 Thank-you
I'm in love with this throat singing music
Extra ordinary. Sublime. A deep groove. Rhythmically hypnotic, yet insistant. Strident. Blood memory.
Dang, her daughter is beautiful.
Pure family. I wish the daughter could has told something too! :) but... all we know how moms are in front of someone hahah Absolutely lovely.

When I lived in iqaluit, nunavut, I was told it was it was used to put babies to sleep. Because babies are tucked in the hood on the moms back, they could feel it.
Beautiful Mother and Daughter
This sound is otherworldly.
It sounds like grunting animals
Magnifiche!!!
I'd love to know their names!
The dervishes in Central Asia and Turkey use this technique in their ceremonies of "Dhikr."
Pygmies also and in some way, the swiss yodel songs
Came here after watching king charles and camilla giggling video🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
moi, je suis fascinée parles chants de gorge; j'aime! merci.
Never forget
Elisapie brought me here
Early beginnings of hip hops beat box.
Remarkable
This would make a good EDM track
I've listened to so much throat singing recently I knew the name of the 3rd one (typing this before they may or may not tell us)
Edit: I was right :)
it's kinda funny but interesting. thousand of years of this and it's still going on...

アイヌのレクッカラと似ていると思います。

Yes the daughter was a bit annoying to watch 😂
I think she's just extremely shy
Stage fright, or social anxiety. She is taking all of her ques from her mother. I can understand that to many it comes across as cold, but it is a way to feel protective of oneself.
She sings well but is infront of a crowd at a college so be kind.

I loved the singing but didn't think much of the lady that did the intro. and I'm pretty sure she farted at the end of it
Why? I didn't see anything wrong.
She did pretty well cracking a few jokes to lighten up the mood of the room
She didn't fart...
Lol
No disrespect but this is one of the weirdest things I have ever seen. My throat hurts just listening😳

It's ok! I would think the same tbh, but listen, and focus on your chest, you'll feel something really deep in there
Its not really singing if there are no lyrics...
no
There are lyrics but you don't know the language
this is a joke... peeps..pls c"mon. this is not trouthsinging..
What is throuthsinging?! "Congrats, you played yourself."
This is throatsinging.
Not sure I know, or want to know what trout singing is but i recognise a wanker when i hear from one
you are right, it isn't throuthsinging ... it's throatsinging
Oh my God, this speaks "white man" to me lmao
I hate it... I'm sorry
I hate it too. They are gonna regret doing this.
