    PLEASE NOTE: SINCE THE RELEASE OF THE VIDEO AND OUR EVALUATION, ALLPOWERS NO LONGER OFFERS THE S2000 POWER STATION WITH A 30 AMP CONNECTION.
    We are always on the lookout for efficient yet simple systems to extend our power needs in our RV travels. When towing for long days and overnight stays where there’s no opportunity to connect to a power pedestal, our option has been to power the 110 Volt appliances with a gasoline 4500 Watt generator. Sometimes this is overkill when we need to stop for 30 minutes for lunch or our overnight stay at a Harvest host occurs during the months when no air conditioning is needed. For these stops, we needed a midsize portable power stations. To meet these off-grid power needs, we tested the ALLPOWERS S2000 Pro portable power station and this unit exceeded our expectations especially with it’s 30 Amp RV connection.

      Thanks Gary. I didn’t try the AC. I will, but at around an estimated 15 amps it will consume the unit’s capacity quickly. I’ll share the results when I test.

    When plugged in to 30amp, is this also sending charge to the onboard batteries like shore power? Great video as always.

      @iLoveRVlife  Před 7 měsíci

      Thanks. I mentioned in the video that I turned off the breaker to the convert / charger. The lights were running on battery only. Also,the inverter for the fridge has a built-in transfer. As soon as it senses 110V, it no longer pulls power from the battery.

    Thanks for the video. Did you think of trying to start-up your A/C? That is a what I will be trying on my RV this summer.

    • @iLoveRVlife
      @iLoveRVlife  Před 5 měsíci +2

      If it came on it would deplete the batteries in 90 minutes or so. The big issue is the compressor kick at start up. Maybe with a soft start, but still get a second or two at 20+ amps. Might work, but prefer the longer term use of fridge, TV, and cellular router.

      @@iLoveRVlife - My goal is to test the 4000 Watt surge to confirm that it works with my 13500 BTU A/C. We had massive deals on Allpower items over the holidays, and I picked up 2 s2000 Pros, and the 400 Watt solar panels, which I plan to put through their paces when we return to our seasonal campsite. Thanks again for the video and your response. Cheers

      @iLoveRVlife  Před 6 měsíci

      We’ve had it in the bottom storage area since the video. No issues with the app connection. I had a second or 2 for response, but didn’t see it as an issue. I’m using the iPhone app on a 13. It is Bluetooth. Could be interference or the phone if the lag is substantial.

    Jerry : if you hook up the rig to the Allpowers s2000pro can you turn it off and on remotely with app ?. Is it in a standby mode and uses a lot of juice while it is in stand by ?
    In other words if the unit is plugged in and in your out side storage and you want to run the microwave, can you turn it on ( and off) remotely without having to go out to the unit?

    • @iLoveRVlife
      @iLoveRVlife  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I’m able to turn the inverter off and on with the app. I turn the DC portion on with no connection to limit time out as a power saving. Since I’m using power I don’t have an exact time when time out occurs and the app won’t access. I’ll also test the use over a period of time in standby. I’ll test this week and share an update in the comments.

  • @JRMoritz
    @JRMoritz Před 7 měsíci

    What type of batteries do they have? How many times can you recharge? I like the 30a plug and most do not have that. Been following you for a long time. We are in Florida and I want to have a backup power solution.

    • @iLoveRVlife
      @iLoveRVlife  Před 7 měsíci +1

      It has Ternary lithium battery that uses a lithium nickel cobalt manganate (Li(NiCoMn)O2) ternary cathode. The documentation states 2500+ life cycles and lasts for almost 10 years (estimating one cycle per day). This unit is 1500 watt hours depending on your needs. If you need longer term back up with more watt hours, ALLPOWERS has the R4000 on sale rated at 3600 watt hours at half price. Appreciate you watching.

    I think that if they rotated the 30A receptacle 30 to 45 degtees, the AC cable wouldn't block the solar charge port. Not knowing what the receptacle looks like behind the panel, that may not be possible

    • @iLoveRVlife
      @iLoveRVlife  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Agree. Thought about opening and rotating, but didn’t want to void warranty. I just cut off the end of the cord and replaced with a straight 30 amp plug.

  • @gregggoebel3916
    @gregggoebel3916 Před 6 měsíci

    Have you figured out how to charge the unit with the 30 amp cord plugged in ?. I have looked all over the internet for a 30 amp extension without success.

    • @iLoveRVlife
      @iLoveRVlife  Před 6 měsíci

      I did too with no luck. So I ordered this amzn.to/47HBPfM cut 6 inches of my existing cord and replaced with the straight plug. Not the most elegant solution, but works like a charm. I took the short 6 inch piece and made a short extension with the female plug. No idea what I’ll do with it, but who knows what project will come up in the future.

    MAJOR CONCERN -- All calls to this company and all emails to this company have gone unanswered. I'd think twice about this company as i have a concern about the unit i bought and i can not get anyone to answer or respond. This is very disappointing that my experience thus far is that they are a sell it and forget it company.

      The hear is powered by 12V DC and would have no affect. I mentioned the unit would not sustain AC units in the video. A moot point.
