On another note, I really wanted to thank you for inspiring me to do my own ribbon hunt, not too long ago I was diggin my GC memory card and found out that there was a Misdreavus that was purified already con Colosseum. Not shiny, but I decided to do the ribbon hunt on it since that particular Misdreavus has sentimental value to me.
AH I REMEMBER BEING THERE FOR THE KARP CATCH "Shimmer" was my suggestion and somehow the whole chat was on board 😂 Best moment as a chatter tbh

@@AshlynRose0210 yeah, dragon rage ub was also the hardest one for me, in my head it was a tossup between naganadel and guzzlord and i honestly had no idea, but thankfully i put guzzlord :3
@mintflake8178 I used the lore around Guzz to decide between them cause bro isn't exactly chill. I would argue the mew one was harder.
I think it could be interesting to take a look at gens 1-3 (as 3 is when they introduced ribbons) and see which Pokémon can earn the LEAST ribbons and why

I'm happy to say that I've been a Ribbon Collector since 2014 and my Ribbon Master is my shiny Alolan Raichu that I got in back in Pokémon Y. Too bad when I transferred him to Scarlet, he was average sized

Magikarp being the focus here is funny cause that actually was my first ribbon master. I was playing Emerald on my DS and I wanted to get a Feebas so I started checking tiles and just found a shiny Karp. She’s now sitting comfortably in SV, can’t wait for ZA to give her another ribbon. Sucks I had to get her in a basic pokeball cause it’s the best matching one for Gyarados

PSA for the Terrakion strat, now that its impossible to get prankster meowstic in Gen 6 due to servers shutting down, use Prankster sableye, you can get it in Alpha Sapphire

I didn't know about the Aromatise team, I've been using sturdy Togedemaru + Dusclops for the Battle Tree in a similar way. I honestly think singles using Durant is easier but I want the stamp for doubles in my passport!

I’ve always wondered why people go through the grind of getting Champion Stickers for BDSP contests. I didn’t have a single one, just one of the Show Master Stickers for the very end, and won every contest first try. That’s not to brag or anything, I’m just genuinely curious why they’re considered as needed by most people. Is it just that having them helps if you’re not as good at the mini game part of things, or are some Pokémon just inherently better at contests than others?
The Shining Contest in my experience has tight margins so you want every advantage you can

question- does the cloned duraludon from the smeargle clone glitch keep the same name as the partner ribbon? the original name was drayton... but I assume since you are the OT it would be changed to yours? That would've been insane to take advantage of when it was around

My friends are not as big on pokemon as i am but insisted on doing pokedoku, so i would be sitting there trying to decide which of like 5 pokemon to put to lower my score, while theyre getting 6/9. But its fun

Thanks to you I started doing ribbon masters, so far i did a shadow shiny quilava, a shiny emerald mew for the 7* raid event, a shadow scyther that i evolved into kleavor, and an event victini.
It was a lot of fun and I have 2 more on the way

I’ve never really tried making a Ribbon Master before. The closest I’ve ever really done was my Shiny Kyurem from Omega Ruby, but he’s missing some ribbons that he can’t get anymore (I never did Super Training with him, for example). I do want to try getting a Ribbon Master though, and I have 2 Pokémon I think I’ll try going for at some point- A Dream Radar Gardevoir, and an 8F Shiny Mew (though I can’t get the Mightiest Mark on it, since I don’t have access to the Mewtwo Raid anymore)
I’ve started the challenge with the Gardevoir. My first roadblock is the Expert Battler Ribbon. I lost on Battle 26 in Super Singles
Is there a full list of pokemon that can be cloned with the curry glitch? The one on bulbapedia seems to be really outdated.
No, it's impossible to know if they're big enough until someone just does it. Bulbapedia's list is more or less accurate except for Gyarados which was a recent discovery.

Hitting the NL roast early
Pokedoku unlimited still has a lot of bugs to fix. It asked me for a mono-type Hisuian Pokemon even with logic on and Arceus didn't count as a Normal type Legendary.
I don't work for PokeDoku but there is a Hisuian monotype: White-Stripe Basculin
As for the latter the Legendary category doesn't include Mythicals like Arceus
@@SirToastyToes Okay, I will give that I forgot about White stripe and only thought of Basculegion! Those variants are tricky ones.
But the Arceus thing is debatable since it doesn't seem like the community can decide whether it is legendary or mythical. Most people I know consider it a legendary.

Literally that same day I had looked up guzzlords learnset while playing pokerogue, but because pokerogue uses the gen 8 learnset which removed dragon rage, I was under the assumption it didn't learn it. So unfortunate for me lmao.

I was wondering if you can link me to a guide or even make one on how you reverse engineered your Onix. I've been trying to do this myself for a pokemon I caught years ago, but ran into a lot of trouble and haven't really seen anyone but yourself achieve this. Thanks again
I looked at its IVs and nature in a modern game and then used an RNG tool like PokeFinder to find its PID based on those parameters in FireRed and LeafGreen
@@SirToastyToes So I'm assuming you use the code "create a pokemon species from nothing" to make Onix. Then you go from there to change the IVs and finally you use a code to change its origins. If so I'm just a little confused because I try to change its IVs with the code, but I'm unsure if I also plug in its PID and OTID in that code, or if I leave the values 0. Either way I've tried to both 0 and putting in the values, but my game always crashes after I try to excute the code.
@@wellsee9826 Are you inputting the OTID correctly? As I understand it it's an 8 character string the first 4 are your secret id and the second 4 are the TID (both in hexadecimal) so if your TID is 0000 and your SID is FFFF your otid is FFFF0000
@@wellsee9826 An easier way I discovered after making the video is to use the "Change TID and SID" code, set yours to that of the Pokemon you want to recreate, and then use the "Put and Egg with any PID in Day Care" code, which once hatched will have the PID and OTID you want.
Once you have that newly hatched clone you can change its poke ball, met game, met location and met level with the "Change Pokemon Pkrs and Origins" code

I can't put my finger on it, but personally, everything after Gen 7, maybe 8 feels like a cheap chinese knockoff... like I do appreciate modern Pokémon for its quality of life features but maybe it's the playground rumor level secrets missing.
It's impossible to have secrets for more than a week because of the speed of information. There are playground rumor quests for Keldeo and Meloetta in the Gen 8 and 9 DLCs, but they were solved in a few days tops. The regi puzzles have that enduring mystery because it was a different time
@@SirToastyToes I hear you, and I agree. What I mean is the level of convoluted that the secret actually is, rather than how long it actually takes nowadays to figure out. My favorite example is the "The absurd depths of the pokeblock" video by Linneus (they reference you for the TV events thing btw). Is it more complicated than it needs to be? Sure. Can datamining solve it more easily nowadays? Sure. But it's still *cool* :D The fact I can still learn new things about a game I've been playing since my childhood is just amazing. It's probably impossible to accurately capture that feeling nowadays, but hey since I'm an insane person and my favorite type is Ice, gen 7 and 8 have actually added alot of good stuff for me so I won't complain too much :D
Edit: A good example might be the Saggitarius Bow in FF12 Zodiark Age. Didn't take too long to figure out but that whole secret is on a level where I wouldn't believe it if there was no video evidence :DD
