Very clever company indeed. Prado 150 owner here...
Installed the tank today on my Kakadu. I installed an isolation valve between the Tee and the barb for fitting a pump later if can find a way to mount it on the Kakadu. This will save me having to drop the tank again and allow isolating the pump in the future shoudl it leak on a trip.
Parts bought from Reece plumbing supply.
Another great product. Are you considering making tanks for other vehicles too? Very well done on the video too.
I just received mine 👍
Hello KAON. Great products, love your work. In this particular case, making the tank in stainless steel is a bad idea in my opinion. Stainless steel is heavier and expensive. An aluminium or plastic/abs would have been better suited (cheaper and lighter).
Hi Tin, wondering if you have ever considered making one in alloy to reduce weight and improve corrosion resistance?
Hi Tin, great video! Awesome new pump feature - bought the 1st gen KAON water tankp from you guys about 7-8 years ago I have held up on installing my pump for my KAON water tank because I could find suitable bracket until now. I have the same pumping setup as yours. Could you assist by providing the link on where you bought the water meter? Many thanks Ethan, WA
Do these fit models with flat tailgate? ie models where spare wheel aren’t on the tailgate but are under the car
If only Kaon had been around when the 120 Series was the latest model 😢
The pump won't fit in Kakadu models because of the air compressor in that space!
Correct David, it's not compatible with KDSS models.
Any chance of coming up with a solution/bracket to mount it on a Kakadu thanks ?
