    Looking back on it how OG couldn't stay healthy for the Knicks postseason run and was absent for our chip run, that RJ & IQ trade looking genius right now. Now, we need to draft a center like Edey or Filipowski and get a forward/guard.

      Agree. I love OG but he’s only good when healthy and when he puts up stinker games it’s kinda overshadows what he does on the defensive end. He’ll be 27 this year. As great of a defensive wing he can be there are a lot of other great defending wings like Jaden McDaniels and Herb Jones who are younger and often more healthy.

      @@Ctrill23yeah Pascal trade was and still is an L. He’s in the ECF while we’re at home with a guy eating up cap space who’s only good playing next to MVPs. The picks we got from Indiana fucking suck and the development piece we got with Nwora is not it. Can see why this is his 3rd team in 3 years in the league.

    Someone will drop to 19, same at 31.
    I would only take edey if he’s at 31. And we took a guard at 19
    But I think we go highest upside at 19. And a 3 and d player at 31.
    I really like Devin Carter and salaune. But I doubt salaune is still there at 19.
    There’s a chance of ware being there. If anyone can get him to play hard it’s Scottie Barnes. So let’s see.
    Devin Carter is a beast. Athletic freak, great rebounder.

  • @johnhamilton2914
    @johnhamilton2914 Před 29 dny +1

    Carter would be the ideal pick at 19 but I think Miami will take him at 16. Kelel Ware would be a great pick as well at 19 I don't think he will fall to 31. Salaun looks like a stud but he's so young will he be ready when Scottie ascends in 2 or 3 years? I wouldn't mind DaSilva at 19 he's nba ready, or Daron Holmes, Raps need a good PF to replace Siakam. Ryan Dunn would be a great defender as an OG replacement.

  • @IceManLikeGervin
    @IceManLikeGervin Před 29 dny +2

    Devin Carter is seemingly going Top 15. He's popping up in some recent mock drafts as such. Kel'el Ware is seemingly going Top 20. If Raps want him they will most likely have to take him at #19 if he's still available. He can have the same type of effect (rim runner, rim protector, athletic energy big) as Dereck Lively of Dallas has had in the NBA. Plus, he can step out and shoot the 3. Kel'el Ware would give the Raps some much needed size and center depth on their roster. I can see Raptors drafting Ware or Edey at #19 if they are available.

    @ben rogers the 19th pick you take tidjane salaun or yves missi.
    then you trade bruce brown to knicks for 24th pick and take edey or ware
    at 31 you take dunn if you want a guy that can play at least defence off the bench at a high level.
    i dont think ware is available at 31 so the raptors have to make a choice between edey or ware at 24 if they trade bruce brown to knicks.
    missi edey ware are all centers so they gotta pick one.
    i think at 19 you take tidjane, who is a wing. then take edey at 24, and then you take a defensive wing at 31 in dunn

  • @KDsburner-vg8vp
    @KDsburner-vg8vp Před 29 dny

    Man imagine trading up for Salaun and getting Ware the same draft. They probably won’t be starter quality but we need depth of the bench, they need NBA minutes. We probably won’t be a playoff team next season so there’s not much to lose here. Next thing would be to free up some cap space, reach an extension agreement with Scottie before other teams offer him a truck load. I’m sure IQ will re-sign for something reasonable given his age and the opportunity he’s had to showcase his talents as a starter.

  • @scarboroboy
    @scarboroboy Před 29 dny

    Would not be mad if the team takes Carter at 19 but preference should be given to a core piece who will fit along side BBQ in the first unit. He seems like a 6th man on this team. Someone like Tyler Smith, Tristan Da Silva, and Yves Missi are preferrable as they have length and can switch between 3, 4 and 5. All have very solid jumpers and can provide space for Barnes and Barrett to operate downlow. They won't be too much of a liability on defense.
    At 31 maybe you get Ware if he's there or DaRon Holmes, Edey, Filipowski or Chomche to solidfy the frontcourt core. Though if Jared McCain or Tyler Kolek slip here, you almost have to take them. They automatically becomes your 2nd unit playmaker and 6th man. Lots of options at 31.

    I don’t know if Carter will be there. Ready to contribute players are very attractive to contending teams which most teams picking from 12 to 18 are. If Carter is available grab and get him into the rotation right away.
    Ware is a potential steal and bust.

    Kel ware is interesting, but his shooting stats are fool mans gold. 42% from 3 on only 1.3 attempts per game... bigger sample size like 5 attempts per game I bet that comes down to sub 30%.... thats why his FT% is bad.. His athletism and heigh/length are probably his biggest draws which are allowing him to finish around the rim, rebound and block shots. His shooting is obviously something that can be improved though.. considering he was projected mid late first, getting him at 31 would be nice, I would still take Edey over him.

    I know he's more of a combo guard but I wouldn't be surprised if the Raptors address the backup PG spot by signing 23-year-old Talen Horton-Tucker in free agency. They've been linked to him a few times in the past and he's 6'4 with an insane 7'1 wingspan. Masai loves those plus wingspan guys

  • @scarboroboy
    @scarboroboy Před 29 dny

    Ware. Excellent rim runner. Average shot blocker for his size and athleticism. Only 1.9 bpg in 32 mpg. DaRon Holmes is smaller and does more (2.1 bpg in 32 mpg). But his raw measurements are undeniable. Standing reach 9.4'5, wingspan 7'4.5, vert 36', agility tests above average. He just needs to be coached up on defense and not become the next Mo Bamba. Not mad if the Raptors take him at 19. He immediately become the team's best dunker at least lol

    I want Zach Edey at all costs, especially seeing how the league is moving back to needing two solid big men, I'd take him at #19 because a lot of the playoff teams behind us need a big man who might take him before #31. Kyle Filipowski is a steal too if we don't get Edey, I like his game as he represents more of that modern NBA big man who can shoot the 3. If JV has slow feet and struggled to guard the pick and roll and Edey is even slower than JV then he’s going to struggle even more. He’s going to be a defensive liability anywhere outside the key. He’s just too slow and too robotic. This is the NBA and not the NCAA where’ he going to be guarded by some guy studying business that has no future in the NBA. You need more than just being big.
