    Hey boys how are you? Had to wait for a year for your video!
    But it is worth the wait! Another Excellent video.
    The Intel Celeron 3865u based mini CPU upgrade video was a master piece, now this one is as good if not better 👍
    How is the 3865u running? guess your upgraded mini pc must be putting the big boys to shame.
    This AMD based laptop is a great laptop for the price point, simply a great processor for the price.
    Thought the Intel Pentium gold 7505 will ace this segment but did not quite create the stir as this AMD A3150U gem.
    Brilliant video, keep it up and keep posting videos.

      Hello Sir, we are good, thanks for asking 👍🏼
      Yes indeed! It was an year since the last video, and my summer holidays have just started. I will try to do a few more videos in the coming two months.
      The Mini PC with 3867U is working well. I upgraded it to 32GB of RAM, and repurposed it as home server. It is sitting along with the router, and both are connected to a 800VA UPS (Fine for 4 hours during power outages). I went through the Mini PC video again, and recalled all those fun moments.
      Pentium Gold 7505 is 1.5x faster than the AMD Gold 3150U. It was in my consideration for the review. However, the 7505 laptops were priced at 10,000 rupees more. It maybe good for a independent review, but not so for a comparison review (since it will be apples vs oranges). I would bring in the 7505 laptop when the price is closer to 3150U.
      Thank you very much for the appreciation 😊 Regards.

      @@ArjunAndVishnu Yes agree, the price did the 7505 in, a few more thousand rupees and we can get a good I3 processor, 7505 should have been priced around 22-24K.
      Actually was surprised with the Integrated Graphics (UHD) of the 7505, must be one of the most powerful Integrated Graphics in the segment, sure AMD will have one or two Processors to match this but Iam not aware

      I will try to answer in Hindi since you appear comfortable with it.
      Laptop ka motherboard maximum 32GB support karta hai. Mayne dono laptops mein 32GB RAM 2666MHz dala hai. Dono acchaa kaam kar rahe hai. Itna RAM aapko normal use ke liye zaroorath nahin padegi, lekin graphics editing ke liye chaahiye. Aap jo applications use karte, uske isaaf se RAM install keejiye.

    Hey kid, I am wondered seeing such a detailed review. Need you suggestion please. My need is to use a laptop on daily basis with multiple chrome browsers/tabs open and do zoom call with screen recording. Will this laptop suits my requirements? as my budget is tight.

    • @ArjunAndVishnu
      @ArjunAndVishnu  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Sir, it will likely suit your requirements with these in place:
      1) Latest Chrome update has a memory saver feature. It will offload the memory of unused tabs, and reload the tab only when you activate it again. While this works, it is not ideal If your tabs need to be updated continuously. In such a case, you will to turn off the feature and add more RAM to the machine. How much more RAM depends on the number of browsers/tabs you run simultaneously. I have 32GB on my machine, generally speaking, another 8GB stick should be enough (Rs.1500).
      2) Is the camera quality very important during the Zoom call? If so, please keep in mind that it is a 360p camera and not exactly top notch.
      3) Screen recording is fine, the processor has enough headroom for that. I will tell you a technique. Use OBS, and set the GPU for the recording job. Your CPU will be free for other applications.

    • @2903Mohan
      @2903Mohan Před 11 měsíci +1

      @ArjunAndVishnu  Před rokem

      Hello, sorry to hear that you have received the wrong model. I checked the link again and it is right. So, it must have happened because of a mix up at Amazon.
      82FJ00AGIH is the correct Part Number. If you got the other model, you need to return the laptop. That because NVMe slot cannot be attached to the motherboard without a soldering job. Since the laptop is new, I don't think it should go through that. Just return it, and order a new one.

    i hv two more question fr u dear bro..... since i hv 4th gen laptop... if i use 8 gb ddr3 + 8 gb ram ddr3= 16 then performance will be equal to 8 gb ddr4...??????? second question do ddr4ram provide prominent difference in comparison to ddr3???

    • @ArjunAndVishnu
      @ArjunAndVishnu  Před 10 měsíci

      1) Yes! If you add another RAM, you will not only get the additional capacity but also theoretically double the bandwidth since it operates in Dual-Channel.
      But since we are talking about DDR3, you should upgrade it only if your computer lags at any task. I have made a video regarding this couple of years ago, check it out for a clear idea of what in the computer is worthy upgrading:
      czcams.com/video/9hWZ5P78OaE/video.html
      2) DDR4 is close to twice as quick as DDR3 (I am comparing DDR3 1600 which operates at 12~Gbps, and DDR4 2666 which does 21~Gbps). So that is an advantage for the DDR4 alright, club that with the fact that some boards can do Quad-Channel DDR4, that advantage puts it in another zone altogether.
      I have a range of machines, even one file server that uses DDR1 400MHz RAM. So, you can benefit by purposing the machines to the right task depending upon the power that they possess.

      Yes, that config is decent for programming. It will do alright so long as your programs do not involve GPU workloads or CUDA.
      A word for someone who might be looking for an advice: 4th GEN Intels are widely available. However, it you have to purchase a refurbished machine, go for 6th GEN or higher. You get faster DDR4 and those RAM sticks will be useful when you are switching to a new machine.

      Yes indeed. The space is there, probably because of the same shell for both the laptops. Actually, I see a provision for the SATA pin on the motherboard, however the pin is not soldered. So, USB 3.2 is the only option, it is fast though.
      Thank you very much for the appreciation. Regards.

      This laptop suits the purpose, since finance software applications usually are not very demanding. Besides, they do not need 3D rendering either.

      That is a decent laptop too, but there is a big price difference (18K vs 24K). RAM will account for 1K difference, and another 1K for the digital license of the OS. You can go for it if you want everything ready out of the box.
      Although it is a Ryzen, 3250U has round about the same processing power as Athlon 3150U. Additional 8GB RAM is around Rs 1500.
      Check this out as well: amzn.to/3Ym5CY0
      It has a much faster processor, and a num pad to key in the numbers quickly in finance applications.

And when talking with the customer support they only provided the option for a refund. I want to know whether I'll receive the correct laptop if i re order using the provided link

    • @ArjunAndVishnu
      @ArjunAndVishnu  Před rokem +1

      Amazon mixing up the models is unusual. However, it is unlikely to happen twice in a row. They track products with SKUs, unless the product is labelled wrong, it will not repeat. Take the refund and order again. That's the best way to go about this issue.

    Hi there,
    I am older then you but i thank you for sharing amazing detail content for viewers.
    I recently purchased asus tuf gaming f17 this month. I set BIOS password by mistake now i tried it but it is not working. I called Asus support they asked me for 1500₹ for remove BIOS password.
    I am using HP laptop since last 5-6 year. HP laptop give freedom to use third party software to reset BIOS password. I searched a lot to find solution for that.
    I purchased it from Flipkart at ₹96000. I save money to buy it. My laptop working fine. But i want to open BIOS to enable virtulisation utility.
    If you know any trick to do it yourself. It will be great help for all needy.
    Thank you.

    • @ArjunAndVishnu
      @ArjunAndVishnu  Před rokem

      Hello, I understood the issue. The BIOS settings are stored in a CMOS and is protected by a CMOS battery. It is usually a CR2032 or a CR2025 battery (big button cell), and it is on the motherboard. You can see it at 3:13 in this video.
      On your laptop, it might be at a different place on the motherboard. Just remove the CMOS battery, take it out, and re-insert it. That will clear the CMOS settings, and your BIOS password as well. Your laptop will not ask for the password at boot.
      Note: Laptop manufacturers usually allow opening the laptop case for RAM upgrades. Since your laptop is new, you must find out from Asus if it is OK to open it without voiding the warranty.

      @@ArjunAndVishnu Thank you so much for quick response. You mentioned my concern in the note point. I don't think they allow. It is only 20 days passed to buy this laptop. I got it on 11th July this month. I don't have extra money to get it done on service centre.
      If you know any other way to do it. Please share with me.
      It has 16gb of Ram. If i upgrade it to 32gb. Then they can do it for free. I don't want to open it myself. Because i do same with my sata hard disk and ruined it.
      Thanks 🙏

      Got your message. Thanks. The model number of the Asus VivoBook that your ordered is : X415MA-BV011W
      VivoBook PROS against Lenovo E41-55:
      --> Has SATA port for additional Hard Disk or SSD
      --> Windows pre-installed
      --> One additional USB 2.0 port
      --> Global warranty
      VivoBook CONS against Lenovo E41-55:
      --> Slow processor (see the list below, 2nd from last)
      --> 200 nits screen brightness vs 220 nits
      --> Slower integrated graphics
      --> RAM expandable only up to 8GB vs 32GB
      --> 37WH battery vs 45WH
      --> 33W charger vs 45W
      My thoughts about this comparison: The processor of the VivoBook is too slow for anything beyond basic applications.
