I have an acer nitro 5(Bought December 2020 and I use it till day to do day to day stuff (word,excel etc) and even play games( overwatch and no man's sky right now). The experience has been amazing. Didn't give an issue and works like a charm till date. Very soon I plan to upgrade to the acer nitro with 4050 as I trust the brand as per my user experience.

Don't buy gaming laptops if you are a student go for "books" as in asus vivobook (specifically pro 15) , cuz you wont be playing that much of a game when in school or college , if still require high performance with good thermal efficiency buy a cooling pad that costs around 600 typically.
I have an Acer Aspire Lite i3 1215u 16gb ram variant. Overall the laptop is good but Acer service is not good at all for instance you wouldnt find any spare parts for the laptop like keyboard, trackpad, etc, even on the acer website. Please dont think that metal body means premium, it is flimsy and flexes a lot while holding with one hand and the screen wobbles while the fan is spinning above and also hinge and the display bezel creaks while opening and closing the lid. Speakers and display gets the job done.
Yeah, we agree. Acer’s after sale service can be better. But we have not seen much of the quality issues with Acer personally. but maybe we need to test them out over a longer period. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I'm happy with my VivoBook S16 Oled, I know It's Core Ultra 5 isn't as very powerful, but I prefer On Battery Performance which is really good and expect good battery life!

When DLSS was set to quality and everything maxed out, Hellblade 2 is running at 30 fps is killer performance at 60k. Hellblade 2 is very demanding. Also cyberpunk ran at 60fps on DLSS quality maxed out settings that's pretty impressive for a 60k laptop. Some people are spamming adwiesr for like hunting only
After sales service is important as I have ACER SWIFT GO 14 led and the hinge needed to be replaced which they did without question asked... I think paying 2k extra to get warranty and ADP is required 😅

I am watching this on lenovo loq i5 12450HX and 6 GB RTX 3050 running at 125W. It will just blow this laptop out of the park. The best part is that I got it for just 58k.

IMO, (Strictly my opinion, need not go well with others) Laptops are meant to be portable, Gaming is for Desktops, with all that 16/24 core CPUs, 4070/7900XT and above should beat any laptop. Ryzen Rembrandt or Hawk Point CPUs are at the peak Efficiency level , and are at par with underpowered laptop GPUs with their iGPUs. You should do a video on those. Those can last more than 8 hrs on normal usage, and are lightweight too. New gen Intel CPUs have thrown Efficiency out of the discussion long back (The irony being their new gen CPUs have E-Cores specifically.)

I am thinking of buying Acer Nitro V, i5 13th, 1TB SSD, RTX 3050, 16gb DDR5, I wanted to ask if these specs are not up to the mark or they are overkill, for my 4 year engineering course, i will be coding but i am not oriented towards coding, i am currently in materials science and plan to change my branch to mech or electrical, so please comment accordingly. Also is acer reliable, and built well? because i heard that that Lenovo LOQ had motherboard issues, so want to confirm if the acer has the same issues or not.
Being a Mechanical student myself, i can say that those specs are good for almost all heavy softwares, but as you know the more money you want to spend, everything will be faster and smoother. But I'll let you know that I had hp pavellian with 8gb ram and 1650 card and I managed everything well. So you can decide
Get this only if gonna game for long time (even after 1 or 2 years) I'm a final year computer science student Trust me I got a laptop with similar specs(Dell g15) but I don't game at all after 2 years (no time!) And the only draw back with these are the weight and the battery life I have to carry it everywhere and its too heavy 2.5kg and also 500g power brick So my suggestion If you don't plan on gaming for long then get a productivity lap like Macbook or a galaxybook Or If you wanna game (like how I felt during my initial college days when my dad was asking me to get a lighter laptop 😂) then better spend more and look for a compact rog zephrus series(14inch ones) those are comparatively lighter in weight and casual gaming and coding should be a breeze also they have type c pd charging so you can skip carrying the brick if you don't want to carry it to class or wherever..... 0:29 having experience in making gaming laptop dosn't mean their motherboard can last 2 years i had a acer nitro 5 which i loved it initially like my own baby but after 1.5 years just after the warranty expiration one day i plugged my charger and the motherboard became shorted ,its cpu is not working and my lovely acer nitro 5 died ,acer service centers refused to repair it since it is not repairable and they told me to replace the whole motherboard which cost around 30 k ,I had a very bad experience with acer ,never going to buy another acer
rx 6600m is pretty between rtx 3050ti and rtx 3060 sometimes outperform rtx 3060 at highest watt but mine is 80 watt(max is 100 watt) my laptop is MSI alpha
@@snihal3216 it's because people who change to AMD graphics forget or aren't aware that they should uninstall the Nvidia drivers, people just install the AMD drivers after changing the GPU which makes both of the drivers actually crash between each other, causing the GPU small damages

my friend bought rtx4050 at the same price. which is 1.8 time more powerful as rtx3050. With the enthusiams he showed i was expecting he will be mentioning rtx4060. pretty bad as early he ised to do genuine review. from the price perspective this laptop is way over priced!

i have predator 9t gen i7. battery n speakers gone crazy otherwise everything works perfectly.
Don't upgrade there is an issue with new Nitro where you have to hold any key to keep laptop turn on 😅😅
I have a Predator Helios 300 2017 model the only thing gone bad is the battery. The laptop still works absolutely flawlessly.

Those can last more than 8 hrs on normal usage, and are lightweight too. New gen Intel CPUs have thrown Efficiency out of the discussion long back (The irony being their new gen CPUs have E-Cores specifically.)

I am thinking of buying Acer Nitro V, i5 13th, 1TB SSD, RTX 3050, 16gb DDR5,
I wanted to ask if these specs are not up to the mark or they are overkill, for my 4 year engineering course, i will be coding but i am not oriented towards coding, i am currently in materials science and plan to change my branch to mech or electrical, so please comment accordingly.

Being a Mechanical student myself, i can say that those specs are good for almost all heavy softwares, but as you know the more money you want to spend, everything will be faster and smoother. But I'll let you know that I had hp pavellian with 8gb ram and 1650 card and I managed everything well. So you can decide

Trust me I got a laptop with similar specs(Dell g15) but I don't game at all after 2 years (no time!)
And the only draw back with these are the weight and the battery life
I have to carry it everywhere and its too heavy 2.5kg and also 500g power brick
So my suggestion
If you don't plan on gaming for long then get a productivity lap like Macbook or a galaxybook

If you wanna game (like how I felt during my initial college days when my dad was asking me to get a lighter laptop 😂) then better spend more and look for a compact rog zephrus series(14inch ones) those are comparatively lighter in weight and casual gaming and coding should be a breeze also they have type c pd charging so you can skip carrying the brick if you don't want to carry it to class or wherever.....

@@snihal3216 it's because people who change to AMD graphics forget or aren't aware that they should uninstall the Nvidia drivers, people just install the AMD drivers after changing the GPU which makes both of the drivers actually crash between each other, causing the GPU small damages
