    Well done Jason on the yanmar...I would Say they are one of the best mini excavators around , they are build to work in tough conditions.just check camarata's nearly 30 years old b50 and b37.and we all know how hard he pushes his equipment to thier limits...and they still rocks and roll.looking f forward to see more of that jem.
    Keep up the good work .

    Great review. I had to watch it again as I am 30 minutes from going to the Yanmar dealer to sign the papers on a new Vio 50-6 with a thumb and I am ordering today a WMC 42 brush cutter. Thank you !

      you can't go wrong with the machine. It is a very capable machine. I have around 350-400 hours on mine now.

    Best excavator brand ever.
    Had my Vio 10 for almost 18 years now. To this day, it never ever broke down once. Besides normal maintenance, it is now on the third battery. Thats it.
    AC said it in one of his videos, if you want to have quality, just make sure that it says "Made in Japan" on it.
    Im in the market for a SV26 and dreaming about the SV60.
    Wish they weren't forced to put this emissions garbage on them.

    My New Holland e60c has a nice tier 4 Yanmar in it. 67hp. And my cab is so sweet and way bigger then this machine and has a nice radio . I love it. Don't be sleeping on New Holland. Case copied them identical so the CASE 57, and 60 is identical. I like Yanmar, they were the very first mini excavator ever made back in the day..

    I heard the ride is really rough with the tracks your talking about and doesn’t track very well. But I don’t have one so it’s hearsay. I Love the Yanmar hands down.

    What is the actual aux flow GPM? I’m looking at the same machine to run a mulching head but I can’t find the Aux flow for the machine. The website offers a hydraulic flow formula that I don’t understand. Thanks for the video!

    I was between the vio50 and the sv40. I went with the sv40. Even after getting the sv40 I still go back and forth with my decision! It was such a hard decision!!! I'm happy with the machine. I'd be curious on your comparison if you get to demo the sv40.

    • @skidco
      @skidco  Před 3 lety +1

      My dealer is going to bring me one out sometime. If you don’t need the dig depth and reach out I think the 40 would be badass. Same horsepower. Almost the same dig depth. Either the same undercarriage or close. And a little less weight. It would have been a hard decision for me also.

      hi arjaya, i am also between the vio50 and the sv40, hard decision, do you know if you did the right choice of choosing the sv40 ? thank you for help, thank you Skid-co if you could do a comparison of this 2 yanmar. thank you

      I’d probably buy my 50 again. If I went with the 40 I’d probably buy a 135 size machine as well. I know that sounds weird but I actually thought about doing that. I’m getting a demo in a few weeks of the 40. I’ll make a couple of videos of it.

    • @Michael-tu4gm
      @Michael-tu4gm Před 3 lety

      Ive been going back and forth for weeks between the 40 and 50, I was told specifically the 50 is a much heavier duty machine in general towards the pins and boom. Same engine but the 50 is a little heavier and larger footprint. As I was told the 40 is the 35 on steroids and that yanmar will eventually phase out the 35. If anyone can help me decide between the two that would be great. Also, the 40 boom operation is much smoother than the 50. The 50 moves me in the seat some when operating the boom.
      Great video

    Awesome content! Thanks for the videos. How do you feel about the Vio50 over the Vio55. Do you think the extra power of the 55 is worth the extra cost and weight. Looking on Yanmar the lifting performance between the two is very similar, so I’m not sure what the benefit would be with going to the 55.

    • @skidco
      @skidco  Před 3 lety +1

      I think both are a really good size. I went with the 50 because I used to have to get into smaller yards allot. I wanted to have a little bit smaller machine to get stuff done. Also the 50 fits on a 14k trailer good. you really need a 16k trailer or bigger for a 55. Next one I buy will be a 55 with hybrid tracks though. Im getting ready to order a 18k trailer.

  • @robwadsworth3657
    @robwadsworth3657 Před 2 lety

    Im deciding between a 50 and 55 right now. I want a 55 but am a little concerned I might be pushing my 2020 7.3 gas f250. It would go on a 16k trailer. Right at 26k total. Thoughts?

    • @skidco
      @skidco  Před 2 lety +1

      It would do fine with it. There is only 1-2000 pounds different between the two depending on how you spec it out.

    Do you have a parts list for the plumbing for the auxiliary attachments?

    • @skidco
      @skidco  Před 2 lety

      I noted them in the video. I don't have a parts list saved. I know I have another subscriber that has a SV40 and he used the same dimensions that I used and he said it worked on his 40 as well.

    How does cab size and door opening size compare between the Yanmar and 50G?

    • @skidco
      @skidco  Před 3 lety +1

      They are pretty comparable cabs. Deere my be just a hair bigger. I think the door opening on the Deere is bigger. But the Yanmar is easy to get into.

      The 35 is a really good size for allot of work. I do allot of clearing and wanted a little bigger machine for taking out trees. Otherwise I’d still have a 35.
