Well here is allot of Yanmar excavators. I look like I have a dealership starting up. We have a SV40 and a SV100 from the dealer and our own VIO50. Let’s compare the sizes since they are all here.
Great video, in the market for 40 Or 50, the 40 seems like a little powerhouse!
from everything i have seen the 40 will do most anything the 50 will
I love running Yanmar mini excavators!
I’m really diggin that SV40, nice size.
I probably going to get a new 55 around March. This was a really good video
I ran one for a day. Pretty impressive. I just didn’t need the extra weight. I have a 16k trailer now because my VIO50 with the angle blade weighs 11,150 pounds. I didn’t want to have to get a 20k trailer. My trailer is I beam. Only weighs 3200. So I can haul 12,800
ordered A sv40 while bk they are prepping for delivery now-i have searched my brains out over minis online for while before pulled plug i have cat 303.5 trading in I sure hope i made great decision!!!!!!
Oh I am pretty sure you will love the Yanmar. Power and hydraulics on them are hard to beat.
My New Holland e60c is just under 18ft reach 14,500# cab is like a loaded BMW inside and huge . Lots of room which is so love-able! Almost as big as the big 330CATs and big Volvos and all the full size hoes we had. I've ran them all. A JD is totally the same as a Hitachi. Man do I miss my D8 and D7R I had . I used to work at a drilling and Blasting Company. And I ran a crushing crew crushing the huge Rocks into 5inch size rock and then they used the material to put right back into the ground to use. They have 6 crushers and crews. Loved that job. We used to crush 4500-5500-tons of rock on a killer day. That's like 2.5 full conveyers high of dirt. Bout the size of 2- 2000 Square 15ft houses
Great video. Thanks for all the information. Was trying to decide between vio55 and vio80. For forestry clearing and pond work. What would you recommend. Thought the lighter machine might be better. You recommend hybrid tracks and pto2?
Excellent video. Really like your videos.
Thank You
These numbers are from Yanmar's OWN website. SV40 weights 1,300 pounds more than VIO 35, has 14 MORE HP than VIO 35, yet has less digging force than a vio35 (7,216 vs 7,209)....What exactly is the point of the 40??? Weighs more, burns more gas, for NOTHING, NO STRENGTH.....
Я работаю наYanmar vio 55-5, хороший экскаватор.👍
How about fuel consumption comparison by the hour?
Can the sv40 interchange buckets with the vio50? or are the quick connects different pin sizes?
diffrent pin size. 50 and 55 are 45mm. SV40 is 40mm.
That's weird, in the US the SV series is alot different than here in Europe. They kinda look a like a Vio with a bigger counterweight.
Here SV is the "true" conventional series.
Short overhang tho.
I tried to copy the link from the yanmar webside into here, so you could take a look. But it doesn't work. Mhh anyway.
Our VIO's are 1000% zero tail. no overhang at all. SV's have a little overhang.
You wouldn't think that they would make different machines for different regions that were that different.
ill check them out. I know that the A at the end of the model means American model.
Did you ever switch the pedals from the sv40 to see if they fit your vio50?
They fit. I ordered a set from my dealer. Nobody has ordered them yet so none in stock in the US. They told me 30-60 days. I told them to get them. I’ll do a video of changing them out when I get them.
@@skidco good deal. My sales rep said he thought they would fit. Priced them at $300 for the pair. I want to swap out the ones on my 55
Have you swapped the pedals yet? I have a 55 and the pedals are the 1 thing I dislike about it, otherwise its a great machine
Ask your dealer if they can add float to any other machine that doesn't have it?
Will do. I’ll ask and let you know. By the way. Check out my new Facebook group

Think the sv40 would handle a 4’ bush hog decent?
I’d probably run a 3’ brush hog on it. Mat be a 42”. If you watch my video of my brush hog on my 50 it’s a 42”. You can feel it all the way out. You could do the counter weight on the SV40 and maybe go a little bigger.
It would probably run a 48” but may be heavy and tippy at times.
@@skidco thank you. this one don’t have the extra counter weight does it?
@@BBLandServices no it does not
there no left drive mate , how do go operating it , haha :]
got my machine today-nice is stout but thumb sux
no kobelco yanmar
