    Excellent job guys This! This is an awesome build for street cars and some competition classes. I just watched Steve Morris build the SML billet 2000 plus horsepower LS
    monster . Revolutionary for the platform. Chevrolet tho built an excellent motor when they turned this loose on the industry. Keep up the great work 👍

    With the main caps being already drilled to accept pins, why are the holes in the block filled ? My only criticism is the fact that if you are spending the cash for an aftermarket block, take advantage of all of it's features and safety/strength measures. While splayed caps are far superior to OEM 6-bolt caps, why not pin them for added peace of mind ? Relying exclusively on the lateral block side cap registers without the cap pins seems silly.

    Can I turn a ls3 in to a 427 stroker?

    • @STEZjorge
      @STEZjorge Před rokem

      Yeah all 6.0 ls blocks can be punched out as high as 427cui . but at that point your cylinder walls will be very thin. Good for Na but not for any boost/supercharger or nitrous build. Also with thin cylinder walls comes with heat distortion on the cylinder wall which can worp a block too in high heat environments.... so yeah

    • @devonr7497
      @devonr7497 Před rokem

      @@STEZjorge What do you mean? The cylinder walls are to thin for boost with a ls3 at 427cui? This video is literally a LS3 turned 427 and is TT with over 1000hp... I want to build a TT LSX 376 and stroke & bore it to 427 to replace a LS7 427 Z06 motor (which shouldn't the lsx 427 and the LS7 427 be the same power/505hp? Things i've seen says 600+)
      Also I am not seeing the extra cost in stroking/boring it if you were already going to upgrade the rear end, the only extra cost/thing to do would be the boring process itself which is just a couple hours on the machine. So it seems it is only like $1k-$2k MAX extra to stroke and bore the engine which I can't wrap my head around how it can possibly be that cheap, to turn a LS3 6.2l into a 7.0l what am I missing here?

    • @silentknight9509
      @silentknight9509 Před 10 měsíci

      I'm not a hundred % sure but I believe the thinner walls issue is with a stoke ls block he is using a aftermarket dart block which I believe have thicker walls than the stock ls 3
