  • This video was created by Misty Raines, P.A. for clients that purchased property on Manasota Key in Englewood FLorida. It is not a professional video, nor do I profess to be a professional videoagraphier. I am a local, full time Realtor that offers clients wanting to purchase Real Estate in our area as much live knowledge as possible for them to make their choice. I am passionate about our area and Real Estate in our area. I believe we are the most charming beach community on the Gulf Coast.

    Nice short video. My wife, 2 sons (24 & 19) and I will be moving to the area in October 2018. We have been looking online for mobile homes but most are 55+ community. So we are probably going to rent for a year until we can learn the area.

      Hi William, thank you for the comments. Although it is an older video and originally made to show clients from NJ the area, it is a good way to show others as well. Give me a call and I can help you with your Real Estate goals. My # is (941) 724-1989. Not mentioned in this video is another great Restaurant just off Manasota Key is Beach Road Bistro.

    Sorry Misty, that wasn'T Farlow's across from Englewood beach, it was Flounder's ( I think it was renamed recently though).

    • @MistyRainesPA
      @MistyRainesPA  Před 6 lety

      Columbus1152 you are correct. It is now Sand Bar Tiki and Grill. Rookie video maker mistake. I don’t recommend driving and videoing and talking at the same time. Can get flustered. I used this video to show Engelwood and the area to Clients that eventually purchased property on Manasota Key with my assistance. The Gulfview Grill is now Waverly. However still wonderful food and dining experience. The playground was remodeled since as well. The White Elephant is also being remodeled. Hope you still can enjoy the information and have a feel of the area.

      We have friends who live in Englewood, we try to get down there once or twice a year. Always look forward to our visits with hikes on trails around Lemon Bay and enjoying picnic sunsets on the beach. BTW- was White Elephant sold along with Gulfview and Flounders? I hope they don't change it much, it's charm was it's casual dockside vibe.

    • @MistyRainesPA
      @MistyRainesPA  Před 6 lety

      Columbus1152 Hi there. Gulfview Grill has changed owners. It is now called Waverly Restaurant and Bar. The food is excellent. As far as White Elephant, they are still White Elephant and have dockside parking for your boats. It’s all a nice variety of places to eat on the beach and off the Island.

    See that empty road? That's misleading...it is almost NEVER like that. We have had red tide every year, sometimes for weeks on end and we have it now...your eyes will water, your sinuses will be miserable...and don't forget the oak and pine pollen. This year they did it in Feb. and March. The traffic on the main road is down right scary, we have had 4 accidents just this week. The mosquitoes are already out in force and it isn't even mother's day yet AND we still have crowded roads. And the people (aside from the realtors and builders) are not that friendly. Many are down right hostile about new residents. Other than that, there are lots of nice places to live but this one is much less charming than it was.
