I am almost 60yrs old, and I have to say, that this is close to, if not actually, the best movie I have ever seen . I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. And I can absolutely see the (Drew) Barrymore family resemblance in dearest' face!

It's OK black and white to me, I saw it that way for a long time. It does give everything a little more character colored.

Thank you, it's been years since I've seen this film. Love this version as it brings back memories of watching it on TV with my mother and the stories she would tell me of my grandfather who I never knew. He worked with C. Aubrey Smith (who plays the grandfather) and used to play cricket with him.
The pictures I have of my grandfather he looks as if he could be Aubrey's brother.
Freddie Bartholomew was a fantastic child actor. Captain Courageous and David Copperfield I loved as well.

Good movie. One of my favorites from the “30s”. I have this in b&w on Blue Ray but it’s not nearly as clear and bright as this colorized version. Thanks for posting it on line.

As a child of the 60's and 70's, I grew up watching the greatest era of Saturday morning cartoons. That is NOT said as an idle boast, just a stated FACT!. I've never seen this classic film, but have heard the expression of Little Lord Fauntleroy before. It dawns on me @ 43:16 into this movie that Scoobie Doo HAD to be a Great Dane...I mean, just look at that face & you can see him, albeit slightly animated lol!!! So glad I've watched it; it's been a Fantastic movie thus far. Back when the message that the cinematography imparted WAS wholesome & VALUES WERE ADHERED TO......
