Visiting New Orleans gives us the chance to try some AMAZING food local to the city. New Orleans is known for it's unique French and Cajun inspired cuisine and we're here to taste it all! Both Boudin and Beignets are uniquely New Orleans (yes we tried Beignets at Cafe Du Monde). Last but not least, Char grilled oysters and Drago and a nightcap at our fabulous New Orleans Hotel on St Charles Ave.

I'm loving the New Orleans videos so far. I'm so glad you got to try beignets there. Back when I could still eat wheat I used to LOVE them and those looked fantastic! I'm not a fan of oysters, but those actually looked and sounded good enough that I would want to try them.
Gluten free has come a long way. I wonder if there is something comparable.
And I'm not a huge seafood fan but these were wonderful!
It's possible there might be GF beignets somewhere, but I haven't seen them yet. However, there is a fantastic vendor at our local farmer's market that makes amazing grain-free (paleo-friendly) breads, bagels (boiled and baked the old fashioned way), and pastries so I might ask him to see if he can come up with one (he often takes requests and loves to experiment). This video reminded me of how much I've missed being able to have them.
Ohhh sounds delicious! Let me know how it goes!
I will definitely do that.
Ugh, we wanted to go to Cafe Du Monde but were too impatient to wait in line... it was like 50 people!
Oh the line moves so fast! We went twice! Haha
The NYC Couple Y'all will just have to come back!♡
Love that you are getting to experience wonderful New Orleans. We love that city.
It's really really fun there!!
New Orleans is so cool...been there 3 times...never gets old...great vibes...no place like it anywhere. 🎷
I could eat oysters any way, all day, every day. N'awlins' oysters are spec-freaking-tacular! I live in coastal South Carolina, and we are blessed with some of the best (albeit small) oysters in the country, thanks to the salinity of our marshlands. So cool that you got to hang out with some locals, and experience the sweetness that is N'awlins.
😋 now I want to try those oysters too!!
Hey Josh. To your "not know how you will do Asia" comment. I highly recommend investing in some quick dry, sweat wicking clothes. I had a couple shirts, shorts, socks and underwear when I went through Southeast Asia. It helped so much. I only wore my normal shirts when I went out at night.
The expectant looks when you are getting ready to taste the oysters! Too funny! No pressure at all...
they were SOOOOO goood.
I never dared to eat any oysters, fresh or whatever. You are brave. But then, I feel bad for the oysters!!!
Can only think of the Archie’s’ lyrics for “Sugar Sugar”. After watching this 😊👍👍
😂 Ahh that would have been a perfect song!
We love NOLA! We've been three times and still haven't seen or done it all. We love the French quarter; all the live music, the art, the people, and (of course) the food. Craw boils, shrimp po' boys, gumbo, etouffee, beignets... Mm! I nag my husband about visiting Cafe du Monde every time we go haha And yes, don't wear black 🤣 I no longer drink coffee, but really enjoyed their hot cocoa when there was a sudden cold snap. A couple other fun spots were the French market, Jackson Square, and the aquarium!
Been to Cafe du Monde love the coffee, fun time in New Orleans. 😎
Congrats on 71K+ subs guys! Btw have you been to Japan? Love your travel vlogs 💖😊
Great start to your New Orleans vlogs. All the food looked lovely, especially the oysters. Love to go back there myself someday: went as a kid, but didn’t get to try any of the most famous dishes.
😋There is SO much good stuff to be had. We only scratched the surface!
Great job with the soundtrack!
Omg so jealous!! I went to NO looooong time ago when I lived in Mississippi (Em) but didn’t know about Cafe du Monde back then. Madison (my daughter) and I made some beignets a few years ago, but they weren’t as good as the ones we had at Disney. Looking forward to your Asian vlogs!! Used to live in Okinawa; try some authentic teppanyaki!!
There's a version of grilled oysters around here called Oysters Rockefeller which tastes pretty good.
Ohhh sounds interesting. Do you know what's different about them?
They're very similar to what you had. According to Wiki, "rich sauce of butter, parsley and other green herbs, and bread crumbs, then baked or broiled." With a name like that it's supposed to be "rich." Thanks to Wiki again "Oysters Rockefeller was created in 1899 at the New Orleans restaurant Antoine's."
New Orleans is awesome and the food looks yummy.
Yes and yes!
We live four hours away from here. This is our vacation this year.
The N at the end of boudin is not pronounced, tho.
Any who! I'm excited!
La cafe beignet in Biloxi Mississippi is a must if you go there
cute hat Josh...I love N.O! Cafe du Monde!
Thaaanks! It’s an old style! New ones coming soon.
Who chooses the music score? I really dig the jazz.
Notification squad where u at?
yeah boy. #wayfam represent!
Ok trivia question..what's the nickname for New Orleans?
If you say the Crescent City (without cheating lol), you are correct :)
No oysters for me thank you. The beignets, despite being messy, look tempting :)
I meant to say you are my numero uno CZcamsrs, of course.... ;-)
I've not heard of Beignets before, I've had Zeppole while in New York...
Not sure if they compare but they were deep fried dough also... :)
I'm sure you guys won't be a hot mess for the whole of Your trip to Asia...
MMMmmmm I'll have to try Zeppole someday if it's anything like Beignets!
I'm sure we'll cope soon enough... plus it's still cold in some places. :p
Good morning! Numero Uno!!
Make it so. 🖖
OOh the beignet is a bit Merica, a proper french beignet is a little different. Boudin noir & boudin blanc are proper sausage shape, a staple in a bistro.
First!
Cool.
LOVE your videos! ...but hate your autofocus.
When we use our ND filter it is especially bad. I’m gonna keep playing with it to get the best results. Or just go back to fully manual. :p
at Cafe du Monde on my very 1st time in Nola; coffee was okay, but i found the beignets heavy & greasy
I wasn’t a big fan of the coffee (Josh), but our beignets were great! I mean, they’re all mass produced with the amount of tourist ls going through there.
