My ordinary president, my cousin grew up in the ogun facility to be precise ijebu ode. When he lost his both parents, before my father could go to Lagos to bring the boy, the company where his father was took him to so village. They took good care of him, during his teenage life they brought him twice to see us. So children villages is reliable place.

Sometimes we need to remove sentiments and look at what is in the best interest of the kids. There was a reason why the kids were not staying with their parents in the first place; this is because the home was not the best place for their growth and development at the time. I do know in such a situation, depending on the reason for taking the kids, the parents will often have days or time to visit their kids. We must appreciate the ordinary president for the great work he is doing. Considering the body language of the guy in eyeglasses, yes, he could have looked more humbling, but let us not make so much out of it; there was nothing extraordinary about his body language. Although that makes him appear to be more aggressive hey, he is a younger guy with more energy and passion, and people have a different physical disposition. However, the guy on eyeglasses was spot on with his point; he was not just logical, he was spot on because there is no need to make the identity of those kids public; it serves no public interest at all. They are minor and should be protected. They can arrange for the parents or the responsible person to meet them behind the scenes; you can see that they looked slightly overwhelmed by the camera. I don't know which government will allow minors to be shown on public television. The lawyers should know this, you don't expose vulnerable people like that because they are MINORS. The programme can still go very well without showing the kids, you can mention their age and all that but leave their names and images out of the camera. This is the standard procedure globally. So the guy on the glasses was right to raise an objection until there was approval from the parents; if he sought reassurance from the parents regardless of who invited them to the programme, then he is right to do that. Nevertheless, he should do that with a human face and empathy which is what an ordinary president was talking about when he mentioned his body language.

I commend the couple for courage to seek help for their kids, knowing they could no longer cater for them due to their situation.
It’s obvious why the man hasn’t visited. Why should that be brought up at all?
The guy is also right about bringing the children to the studio. Under child protection, not even the government has that right. It’s only the parents but even at that, do they have to come and stay there the whole time?
Mr SOS Villages, while I acknowledge your great job, you’re not the only ones doing that. WOTCLEF is doing amazing job. I have volunteered for them.
The Welfare should be ashamed of themselves. None of us is also talking about the hospital that disabled this woman.
This is the problem the vulnerable passes through. If Ordinary president didn’t intervene, these couple may never get their kids back and may never get the support for establishment.
May God continue to bless you, OP.

Wow...Nigeria have a fostering network? I will like to know how this is supported by the government and also hear from children and parents that have been through the system. Well done if this system really exist.
Nigeria should aim at supporting deprived families with welfare support instead of taking separating them. By all means abused children must be removed from their abusive families to prevent further harm.

Before the children are released to the parents, they must make sure the environment will be conducive.

She said, she told her husband not to worry if they were not able to help them with the money that God knows best because if they have given them the money they might come back tomorrow to say they sold the children to them because of the money. That's what she said dear.

I am hearing for the first time that SOS children's village is not a solely ophanage home. This is good to hear. It then means that many Nigerians are not aware of this that is now also child and children care place. Like the ordinary president said, it was what we new in the 70's about the SOS village on how it started. It might have been a wrong information then, then.
