I used to make sarnies in Woolies and we were always told to put all the filling in the middle so that when it's cut and packaged it looks like a lot of filling !!
Taking us along to the grocery store was a great idea! I love supermarkets as it is (whenever we went on vacation my mother and I made a beeline to a grocery store so we could look around- easily amused I know 😄. So this was a real treat for this old American to get to see a British supermarket. Wow - the selection and variety of special Holiday foods is so impressive! Thank you for doing the sandwich taste tests. Regarding your question about mince meat pies Mark. My mother told me they used to have meat in them - often deet meat. I've never tasted mince pie - even though they no longer contain meat I just couldn't get that thought out of my head. 😄 Thank you all for another fun video! Mark, the vegetable at 12:29 is called a 'sato imo(pronounced 'eemoe') in Japan. Imo means potato in Japan. and sato means sugar. It has a unique texture, that not everybody likes. But freshly boiled, then peeled, that are lovely.

We have a suburb in Perth (Oz) called Cockburn. It never failed to crack the kids up when we’d pass it on the freeway. Perth is also home to the suburbs of Innaloo and Upper Swan. Yes we are all class here🤣

I've got sick of waiting so I've cooked 2 Christmas dinners one after the other it was delicious.
Mince pies used to be savoury with meat etc then when they started being made with fruit they just kept the name hence mince meat

Mincemeat is called that because it did in fact used to contain actual minced meat hundreds of years ago. The sugar and alcohol helped preserve the meat. I don’t think it was until early 1900’s (don’t quote me on dates though) that they started leaving out the meat from mincemeat and mince pies.

Every time I see the gingerbread men at the start of the vlog I can just see mark dancing, such a fun family.
Re masculine and feminine: we are all a mixture of masculine and feminine but only men are male and women female. So feminine and female are not the same thing. Therefore both men (males) and women (females) can be both feminine and masculine.
