This Phase has been really experimental and I actually like that a lot so it’s been my personal favourite because of the variety of new characters and genres. It’s done a lot of good world building and yes it’s connections across projects is less noticeable but the Easter eggs are still there.

Agreed!!! She Hulk was a disappointment. I was looking forward to it and it turned out to be a mess.
Hawkeye was the worst, it is was so bad people have forgotten it already. It was an action comedy that neither delivered action or comedy and by far the cheapest looking show because most of the budget went on paying actors to appear in it. It’s only purpose was to introduce new characters for future marvel projects. It was a complete waste of time. She-hulk had its problems but at least some parts of it were funny.
I love how Marvel has one not so great project and everyone starts saying “Marvel is done, “Marvel lost its touch”. Calm down
@@Delboy0 Eh it was a fun thing to watch around the holidays. Also, Yelena and Kate Bishop were really fun to watch and see how they would interact. It was mainly there to introduce Kate and have her takeover for Hawkeye.
I'm still confused by the adoration for Ms Marvel. The family dynamic is great, but the story barely has a villain. The Clandestines show up and die in like two episodes, and then we're left with a government agency.
I've been saying the same thing that Rob said about Phase 4. There has been no narrative connecting any of it. Other than Phase 1, this has had the least structure between all the movies and Phase 1 was building the structure. I hope Rob is right about things being revealed because Phase 4 had the most content but none of it really amounted to much.
I think Rob has it. Everything we have been watching has been happening in alternate universes. And as viewers we don't know that yet. Just assuming everything we've seen is 616

Actually, the more I think about it, most of the MCU movies were mid Until the Russo brothers came along. Captain America winter soldier, Captain America Civil War, infinity war, and endgame were all great. Outside of that, they hit and miss.

While I agree Phase 4 was a mixed bag I also feel the same way about Phase 1. Iron Man and The Avengers were great, I thought Iron Man 2 was average, Incredible Hulk was okay while Thor and Captain America The First Avenger was good but nothing special.

In regards to the shows, they've had a serious problem with their endings. Because most of them only have 6 episodes, they rush the finale and it ends up derailing the whole show
I really don't get the excitement for Shang Chi. I really didn't like it. It felt so pedestrian. I didn't like the villain either. The only thing I liked was Ben Kingsley.

The good, the OK, and the ugly. One or two really good things on phase 4 everything else was OK at best and then there was She hulk. As a whole phase 4 feels disjointed.
What Rob said. Yes. I have thought the same thing. I think it's true to some degree. Kevin did say so. And it would be a cool; "twist" when it's fully revealed. And we will look back at 4 with a new set of eyes.

I found all the tv shows to range from just ok to terrible. The only one I liked enough was Falcon And Winter Soldier, and I didn't watch Ms Marvel yet. She-Hulk was hands down the worst, although I really liked the actress in the lead a lot.

How was the MCU Phase 4 ‘not quite as consistent? Not quite as consistent as what?
The average Tomatometer review for every Phase 4 IP (series/movie) was 84% and the average Audience Score for the same was 84%. That’s 14 properties with an average of 84% and the average box office earnings for all 6 films was $806M (not including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - at in theaters).
It took Marvel 5 years to release the first 8 MCU movies. That’s all of Phase I and part of Phase II. Did those movies average higher? In fact they didn’t, all 8 movies averaged 74% on both Tomatometer and Audience Reviews and the Box Office average of those 8 movies was $557M.
I get not liking certain movies, everyone is going to be different, but we should be careful when saying a certain film or series didn’t reach its potential when every metric available says they did.
Phase I had Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2, not to mention the mediocre reception of Thor and Captain America. The 8th movie was Thor: The Dark world. Incredible Hulk, Thor 2, and Iron Man 2 are widely considered the lowest of all MCU movies. The only anomaly I see is She-Hulk at 33%. But give them a little credit, they took some bold chances with this series, they just didn’t pay off.
I think perhaps through the build up of back 2 back Avenger movies (Infinity War & End Game) our expectations have gotten too high. I am just enjoying all of the content they put out, like a kid in a candy shop. Remember when there was no MCU?

Lowest tier, things I still kinda liked but didn’t care for too much: Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor LaT, and She Hulk, which I only watched 2 episodes before bailing
Right on par with phases 1 and 2. Both of those had plenty of mid to bad movies to offset the great ones. The finish to the infinity storyline was great but it has made people forget a good number of inconsequential outings.

Eh, both were pretty bad imo.
Of the D+ shows, I liked Loki the best (it was the only series that sticked the landing in my opinion). For the movie side, even though it wasn't as great as the first Dr Strange, I enjoyed Multiverse Of Madness more than the other Phase IV films.
Of my least favorite Phase IV films, Black Widow is my pick. It was made/released after her character was killedoff in Endgame (an event that was hanging in the back of my mind throughout the movie) and, in my opinion, this Natasha Romanov didn't feel like the same character that was in the actual Phase III films. For my least favorite D+ MCU series, I would pick Hawkeye. Even though I tried watching it, I just couldn't get invested in the story.
Honestly Phase 4 has had some of the best movies in my opinion. On the TV side, it's been a mixed bag but I havent been disappointed...only Love and Thunder kinda did but not too bad.
The Mandolorian is by far the best TV show Disney plus has made. Black widow is the worst movie of phase 4, Wandavision and Loki are the best marvel shows, What-IF was the worst show. They didn’t lean too much into the “if” part they just changed character origins and a few situations. Nothing drastic was shown.
I think The Mandalorian AND now Andor are comfortably the best pop-culture shows on Disney+

I think the biggest lesson Disney and The Fans have learned from phase four, Is that…Unlike the comics, You can’t just release new random movies like the new special of the week, You need to tie them together as a somewhat cohesive narrative that is leading towards something. Maybe another company can get away with it, But not Disney because they have conditioned their fans to think that way based off the previous Phases.
