This makes me so happy. I love seeing girlies challenge what it looks like to take up space in these traditionally masculine professions. Who says we can’t love makeup AND mechanics. Women are just so multifaceted, it blows me away ❤

Women have a big advantage over their male counter partners in automotive sports that no one seems to be thinking about and that is their size. Women are generally smaller than men, so they have the advantage of their car being120-130 lbs lighter than the male's car. In a sport where weight makes a difference in how much gas you use and how fast you can go 120-130 lbs can make the difference between winning and losing. If your vehicle is carrying less weight It can travel further on the same tank of gas as a vehicle built exactly the same. A lighter driver Is like having a more powerful engine and a larger gas tank. With that advantage They should win most of the races.

It is to bad NASCAR is so misogynistic. I would love to see women drivers but other than the Token Danica (they only let her drive so they could say, "See, we let women drive) they give lip service to women but only as long as they are not in cars. I had to go on the internet to find out there are actually women drivers racing but heaven forbid NASCAR ever shows them on TV.
That is why I only watch NASCAR when forced to (my wife love the races for some odd reason). I prefer Drag racing where women not only are welcome, but actually win races.
