Thought I'd cover this unbelievably catchy song! :) NEW ALBUM 'Moonflower' OUT NOW! Available on all major platforms. Instagram: @rozfirthmusic www.rozfirth.com rozfirth
I know that feeling..my wife lost her cousin at fort hood in texas with the shooting amd she was pregnant as well with her 1st child...and a song from a non famous but still awesome artist from you tube helped throw some help 4 the feelings we were all feeling..keep pushing..n know the u lost is up there lookin down at u with pride.!keep living 4 those we have lost and keep it HAPPY!
This must be my hundredth time watching this. Such an awesome thing to watch. Can't imagine all the hard work and effort that went into making this. Respect!
I had this playing while working from home. As I listened, my cat jumped up on my desk, and I took a break for a few minutes to just pet her. It really fit the mood, because that was a very happy moment. This is an absolutely beautiful take on Happy, and may be my favorite cover of this song that I've heard yet.
@Roz This is an amazing arrangement and honestly beyond phenomenal in so many ways. You have a beautiful voice and I have to say this is now one of my favorite versions of this song!!!!!
Couldn't agree more. I was fully expecting her to sing in that annoying, fake indie-pop voice that girls all sing in on CZcams covers these days, but she was just having fun with the music instead of trying to make it about her.
Totally Dynamic Roz......Wonderful talent and an awesome arrangement. I love it!....You are truly Blessed with talent, and a lovely voice indeed. I really enjoyed listening to this, and watching you create it. Outstanding. Thanks for sharing! :D
Wow, you have mad guitar chops, and I love how clear your voice is. The articulation in the groove and your guitar percussion and your awesome guitar techniques are out of this world.
jajajajajajaajaj señorita eres geniaaal :D es el primero que veo y pienzo ver mas gracias por compartirnos lo que haces me gusto mucho .... te lo digo como amigo hermano, musico exitooo!!!
This is boss. I was watching and thought “she makes it look easy, is she really that good tho?” So I checked out your channel and yeah… you’re amazingly good. Brilliant in fact. Subscribed
I don't understand how it works to switch so fast througth the recorded takes. ...forth and back and record between. ...and have in mind what i wanna record at next. .. That is one of the best performance i saw till now...sure!
+Cameron You can see at 4:52 that it´s the RC.20xl... which is weird because (so far as I know) with the rc20 one cannot record 2 different tracks at the same time, so, it would be impossible to come back to the chorus at the end of the song.
It;s a very wet windy night here in my mountain cabin. The fire is burning and both Flo and Molly my dogs are snug and cosy at my feet in front of the fire. Life couldn't get better. I'm Happy Wonder performance !! .
Absolutely brilliant.... I cannot believe the nitpickers here, daring to criticise this video, saying it's too slow, and people will turn off. Well, that's their loss! Not everyone has the concentration of a gnat - and sometimes musicians (which is surely what she is...) need to stretch out a little. This is one hell of a great (and technically brilliant) performance.... No argument...!!
the chords arent everything. If you listen to jazz most people would assume its really complicated, but miles davis modal tune "So what" is only in two modes the entire time. Its simple but its insanely complex.
@@hezekiahdaggett2179 Great Example, And the twelve Bar Blues are only "Three Chords" but those three chords modulate through different tonal centers (there is only one Dominant 7 chord in each key yeah) And to make things more interesting the blues scale that is super imposed against those chords are "Minor" scales... To think that this art form was created by "Uneducated Slaves" is to underestimate the intelligence of the human spirit. Unbelievably harmonically complex. While being intuitive, feeling natural , and communicating deep emotion. I Studied Music for 6 years in University and if you want to ask me which song Id like to play at a jazz jam. I choose So what by Miles Davis. because everyone in the rhythm section can play it. But the sounds that are possible are out of this world.
how the hell do you make the funky tapping sounds after the bassline, and what chords are you hitting with the tingling notes just before you put in the first "happy" vocals? sounds beautiful by the way Bravo!
I believe they're harmonics and can only be played on certain frets properly (the ones I know are 12th 7th and 5th). Don't hold me on this but you have to rest your finger very lightly on the string and then as you play release it! Hope this made sense
I agree. If she had a RC300 she would be unstoppable. But i do like that she used the RC30. not many good vids on the net with this product. it shows more creativity cos she dose a lot with less.
bboydreaded Agreed. Someone buy this girl the RC300, I've got one and they are an awesome piece of kit. I've just purchased her 5 track CD so there's a few pence towards the RC300 :)
bboydreaded As someone who knows almost nothing about loop pedals apart from the super duper basics, but wants to get into this, could you explain how that would be better? Thank you!
Awesome! I have an RC20XL. How did you revert to the original drum track during the verse while still saving the overdubs for later playback during chorus? I'm also impressed at how you utilized the first drum track and added new overdubs for the bridge. I'm trying to figure it out and am having no luck...
Weston Carlisle Jamin Leonares That my friends, is an example of an amazing performer. She's playing completely live and drumming manually on the verse with her strumming hand. That is to say, none of her overdubs are playing on the verse. There's a reason she has all her subscriptions :P
Dustin Ryan No doubt she's talented. I loved the performance. I'm just curious to see if the loop station I have has the same feature of recalling and silencing overdubs I'm live performance. I just realized that the drums on the verse were her hands, but I'm still questioning the reverting to original drums on bridge, adding new overdubs, and recalling all original overdubs for verse repeat. Any answers?
Absolutely spellbinding performance! Brilliantly executed. Well done and thanks for adding some real beauty to the world! Love it! I'm going to get myself a looper now! Cheers.
I know this video is 7 years old however it is totally timeless....and such a talented artist. Great video to watch, really well edited! Wishing her all the best!
Holy shit... when she started layering her own harmonies I knew this was gonna kill. Great stuff.
3:13 ❤😊❤😊❤....

Said goodbye to a great friend today, and needed something lift me. This was it. Thank you.
A bit late, but voids will always be made that can never be filled. It will suck no matter what; good luck and good fortune brother.
I agree
Absolutely wonderful use of the equipment and your voice is spot on. Nice to see talent show up!

Incredible what you achieved! Excellent use of the loop and wonderful interpretation with your voice. Congratulations!!
Absolutely stunning. Love your performance, including the loop setup.
Amazing! Such a great arrangement. Your timing is incredible.
This must be my hundredth time watching this. Such an awesome thing to watch. Can't imagine all the hard work and effort that went into making this. Respect!
loved this! So creative and she has a lovely voice as well. Great musician! Amazing performance!
Didn't lose me for a second. I'm happy to see Ron take her time to deliver quality music.
I had this playing while working from home. As I listened, my cat jumped up on my desk, and I took a break for a few minutes to just pet her. It really fit the mood, because that was a very happy moment. This is an absolutely beautiful take on Happy, and may be my favorite cover of this song that I've heard yet.
Nice! First 2 minutes of setup I couldn't see where it was going. Then with all those layers there she started singing and it was obvious. Sweet!
Thanks for the inspiration Roz..you're the reason Ive bought a looper pedal after 56 yrs of playing. Great talent and video!!
@Roz This is an amazing arrangement and honestly beyond phenomenal in so many ways. You have a beautiful voice and I have to say this is now one of my favorite versions of this song!!!!!
Love the way she is just herself..not trying to be cute, just there for the music...
Cudos girl.
btw...your'e amazing :)
I completely agree! It's obvious she enjoyed creating this. Very sincere performance.
Couldn't agree more. I was fully expecting her to sing in that annoying, fake indie-pop voice that girls all sing in on CZcams covers these days, but she was just having fun with the music instead of trying to make it about her.

jajajajajajaajaj señorita eres geniaaal :D es el primero que veo y pienzo ver mas gracias por compartirnos lo que haces me gusto mucho .... te lo digo como amigo hermano, musico exitooo!!!
Now we're talking. A guitar, a freaking loop pedal, thanks Roz Firth !
I'm a bit more happy than 8min21sec ago :)
brilliant arrangement & execution of this song - you just might be the queen of the loopers
Just Awesomely Amazing and HAPPY!!
Finally... after two hours of searching, I finally found someone who knows how to use their looper... with effect!
This is boss. I was watching and thought “she makes it look easy, is she really that good tho?” So I checked out your channel and yeah… you’re amazingly good. Brilliant in fact. Subscribed
Wow what a voice! Great lil song thanks 4 sharing 🎶💙
Wonderfully creative and your voice is beautiful! Classic song that is given a little different treatment. Love it!
brilliant , brilliant, so natural, those who dislike , well that's what is known as professional jealously .

Awesome. :)
Wow, that's totally made my day! Thank you so much :)
Rozzy Boo you play very very good!
Rozzy Boo Somebody on facebook just pointed out you have a Secrets Nobody Keeps poster on your wall! You just levelled up to Even Awesomer.
*****
Haha cheers! Of course - it's a wicked album!!
+Jon Gomm The thing is, Jon Gomm does everything simultaneously, without a loop pedal haha :D
I don't understand how it works to switch so fast througth the recorded takes. ...forth and back and record between. ...and have in mind what i wanna record at next. ..
That is one of the best performance i saw till now...sure!
Alfred Kloppe ehjwhywjhu
+Alfred Kloppe There are no recorded takes.
Way cool! Love the build up of all the instruments.
Mesmerizing. Kind of hypnotic after awhile. Very good!
1160 people need their ears checked. This is amazing!

I was really transfixed by this video. I usually turn away from covers within the first minute, but you have something special. Great job.
Geniaaaaaaaa
Luke Christianson I
Spectacular performance! Kudos in light of you 🕊🙇♂️🕊
Oh, this is lovely! :) Amazing what you can do with just a little pedal or two, a guitar, and a beautiful voice.
love it
groooosa
no es whitney houston, pero me gusta su voz suavecita como la miel del panal jejeje
Thats awesome! I just got the same pedal hey, so watching this is proper inspiring and also a harsh reality check.....man, I'm really crap at it!
+Until Cameron keep it up :)
+Until Cameron makes me want to get a loop and give it a go, but it also does not look easy!
+Cameron what pedal is using ?
marioxe16 Boss Rc-30 (i think?)
+Cameron You can see at 4:52 that it´s the RC.20xl... which is weird because (so far as I know) with the rc20 one cannot record 2 different tracks at the same time, so, it would be impossible to come back to the chorus at the end of the song.
Genius! Who is this amazing musician. This is what I call talent.
This is so well constructed! Fantastically performed!! Well done, Roz! I love it!!!
It;s a very wet windy night here in my mountain cabin. The fire is burning and both Flo and Molly my dogs are snug and cosy at my feet in front of the fire. Life couldn't get better. I'm Happy Wonder performance !! .
FINALLY A GIRL WHO UTILISES THE ACOUSTIC GUITAR FULLY INSTEAD OF JUST PLAYING SIMPLE CHORDS
I love your version and very different take on this song. But I love the mellow vibes. You are very talented! Thank you for sharing your passion.
Really cool! Great all round technique and performance!
Problem is: I want to buy a looper, but will I ever sound this good? Probably not. Gonna buy one anyway. Very well done Ms!
I just bought one. Best purchase in a long while.
Absolutely brilliant.... I cannot believe the nitpickers here, daring to criticise this video, saying it's too slow, and people will turn off. Well, that's their loss! ClarkeLavelle I think it's great but there will always be haters sad to say.
simply wonderful 😀🎸🎸
Brilliant construction and version of one of my favourite songs.
I tried to like it twice and it unliked. So I liked again and subbed. Very cool stuff immaculately performed.
lol
:))
Difficult to keep everything sync’d. Well done girl... I’m sure it’s not as easy as it looks , even though it’s only got 3 chords
It's even harder then you think, because it's 3 'chords' with vocal and 4 chords with guitar... :P
There are 5, if you know how to count.
the chords arent everything. If you listen to jazz most people would assume its really complicated, but miles davis modal tune "So what" is only in two modes the entire time. Its simple but its insanely complex.

Always sound so great to my ears in 2023. You are so talented and lovely. I'm a big fan since day 1.
Nice :)
STOP!!! don't hit thumbs down, start at 3:00 and you'll feel differently. AWESOME :-)
If you have to skip to 3 mins then what is the first 3 minutes even there for?
you have a great voice, perfectly in tune, it takes years ... great job, loved it
Talented, very, very talented! I hope you are out there performing in the larger world!
muito maneiro moça!!!!!!
=D
Louco mesmo, ela eh muito talentosa hahahah
:P
João Porto e linda :)

no worries, if you type i harmonics tutorial on guitar I'm sure lots will come up:)
This is the coolest thing I've ever heard..insanely good..thank you
You´re brilliant. It´s so cool to see how much you enjoy deploying your skills.
This is incredible. If she should construct her loop faster, she would be a threat at the boss loop championships.
I agree. If she had a RC300 she would be unstoppable. But i do like that she used the RC30. not many good vids on the net with this product. it shows more creativity cos she dose a lot with less.

***** the rc-300 is the way to go. I love mine
@@bboydreaded It's DOES not dose, a dose is a spoonful of medicine
I think this is better then the original
Agreed
Rose Midnight lol Cuz the original is annoying.
Yus xD
It overplayed. XD I don't care if that is mean but still
XD
I'll watch this fifty times. Great job.
breathtaking!!!
bravo!!!!
what is that device you are using to store your multiple harmony and musics?
Looks like an Boss RC-30 loop station, its the same one Ed Sheeran uses for his loop. Very good model!
Sethekis
He uses a different pedal now. I agree the RC-30 is a good model it's what I use, but the one in the video is a RC-20.
Wait wait. She's a he?
No he's talking about ed
Yeah I just saw his new pedal. One can dream of owning that beauty! Haha.
Awesome! I have an RC20XL. How did you revert to the original drum track during the verse while still saving the overdubs for later playback during chorus? Jamin Leonares The RC‑30 which is the looper pictured doesnt have that feature. which is what leads me to believe this was not live.
Just amazing. Loved it
Wow! Just beautiful!
5:19 How could she come back to this ? I mean with the RC20XL, it s impossible right ? Pls answer someone ... thx a lot !!
Important question. I m full of confusion. Some other tricks goin on? Please answer! :)
Maybe she made one loop of that and other loop on other pedal then she recorded another loop later
Please go viral.
Excellent...!!! Every morning before going to work i always play this loop... it makes my day start energetic...
Brillian, just absolutely brilliant.
You sound like Karen Carpenter, and there is no higher praise she was a genius , bravo great work
Marry me
Absolutely spellbinding performance! Brilliantly executed. Well done and thanks for adding some real beauty to the world! Love it! I'm going to get myself a looper now! Cheers.
