I'm glad you posted this here because this song is in my play list so i hear it at least 3 or 4 times a week and catch the comments still every now and then.
Saw you in Atlanta yesterday, it was AMAZING! Getting to see you play this live was such a treat! Do you think this mashup will ever make it to Spotify?
Saw you tonight in San Antonio and you did amazing and was great to meet as well. Keep up the great work Elise.
Just saw you at 502! Great show!
No one gonna compliment the smooth cameraman just because she can play 5 instruments, sing and look like America's next top model?
I see you, camera guy... you did good.
It's because she was the cameraman..

Elise - you really did his song justice with this cover.

Same - great job Elise. Sorry to hear about Bobby. His music lives on through covers like this. Many thanks 🙏
This is the first thing I thought of!
RIP Bobby Caldwell.
Thanks Elise for keeping his music alive. I remember seeing this a few years ago and keeping it on repeat for hours. That’s the wonderful thing about music. It lives on forever. ❤ 0:41

The whole damn rendition is good, but that drum stanza toward the end was on-another-level smooth. I can't stop listening to it.

This ^
Easy to figure out how Elise is managing the loops. She controls them with a switch in her hair.
Russell Beckham hahaha you figured it out
You are an inspiration, not easy to produce a video to this standard. I wish you every success.
That's pretty funny
LOL
Haha, but for real though. Are the different instrument tracks and the length of the loops all laid out as an arrangement in Ableton ahead of time? I really want to get into this style of live looping without having to physically press a floor pedal, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it. You're obviously very good at it! A true inspiration for a lot of us musicians.
This was the best shampoo commercial I've seen.
Your using shampoo?
🤣
LOL
The funny thing that I literally smelled the shampoo in the air when I was watching this Video
All true rock stars need big hair. Glad to see she is natural without a lot of makeup. Good vibes.

I still come back to listen often. Can't believe it's been 5 yrs! It's such a good mashup
Always, it's such a great mash/blend!
teacher: what instrument are you going to play?
elise: *rakes fingers through her hair*
"rakes"
Lmao. I was thinking her talent was well rounded...the only thing shes missing is a 3rd arm to rake while playing the drums.
HAHAHAHAHA
That’s called a Hair Guitar!
No no no.
She smiled. And replied all of them with a smoldering grin
Everybody is commenting on Elise, the camera guy, the light guy, and the creator of the reverb plugin, but no one is noticing the warmth of the set decorations. I see you interior decorator, you done good.
HAHAHAHAHAHnice one
Just edit out that $69 turntable pleeeeeease! It does not do justice to anything else here, it insults my audiophile view and that shitty bit of Chinese plastic just plainly ruins everything!
Right? Show me a more comfortable-looking room than that...
Fun fact Elise is the decorator.

I never knew about Bobby Caldwell until I stumbled across this cover mash up, and naturally had to look up the original. Glad I found this video a few years back. Thank you, Elise. RIP Bobby.
I still come back to this wonderfull interpretation and cry a little bit
This entire song is a masterpiece but that ending when she goes off on the drums. So smooth.
I mean who dreams up a mashup like this? That’s taste and vision.

She's pretty, has a nice voice singing cover and can play drums some but IMO can't hold a candle to Jen Ledger yet😘

To this day, this is still my go-to reference for those that think looping doesn't take talent or skill. ♥
Looping is merely a tool. Some people use it poorly but in the hands of a true musician, it can be very effective

Her arrangements & style are spot on. Definitely makes any song her own while keeping the original song recognizable just enough to grab you. What a great musician! She takes a song, makes it her own, grabs your soul & turns it into something that makes you feel good like a great artist does. Thank you. That’s what great artists do.

Rip Bobby, this cover is phenomenal still years later
If she had a ponytail while recording this, I’m pretty sure she could also play a violin, a viola, a clarinet, a saxophone, two electric guitars (at the same time) rap, and re-sing the whole thing in French.
Yeah but that would be missing the point. It's a shampoo commercial!
Ha Ha Ha Ha perfect
So you are jealous because a woman has more talent than your "ponytail"..?
@@mikeboncheck5555 The joke is that she spends so much time fixing her hair, that a ponytail would have kept her hands free for more instruments.
