It's not a bad play. Phil Ivey is still one of the best poker players in the world today.
I could get into strategy and what hands Phil could have, etc. but this play probably works 65%~ of the time, which is fine long-term.
Phil just got unlucky that he ran into 2 pair.
it was only a bad bluff because he had 2 pair. people need to learn that the outcome does not determine whether a play was good or not.
Good call, but not a great call perse
Bad play
Thats actually risky call. Ivey's bet representing something big especially theres QJ on the board.
Exactly my friend! Most players are idiots who think bluff only depends on wanting to bluff…and not in the rivals hand
What a legendary table! I miss oldschool poker.❤
I tried a stone cold bluff last night- guy made a huge heart call with a pair of 9s on a crazy board
Tbh, Hansen looked uncomfortable after Ivey bluffed the river. Don’t think Ivey’s play was that bad, but Hansen had the upper portion of his range.
Never tell a secret in the middle of a cornfield. There's too many ears. I know it's a corny joke.
Corny.. lol 😂
Terrible play by ivy
especially when you can see the cards
Terrible bluff just way too low!
Ivy made a terrible bluff
Lol how is it a terrible bluff? He put him in the tank and made him second guess his 2 pair.
@@jai_a_fool he shouldve had betted more on the final bet
@@abelfigueroa9534 agreed but still not a terrible bluff
Just a good call
It’s just against a terrible player/calling station. Play would work against a lot of player.
Hansen went broke over the years a terrible player
His aggressive play style is risky. You can win big, but also lose big. That style usually does not turn out good in the long run though.
He definitely not broke
@@pauldavis5665 His networth is around 110.000.000 but if that broke to you then you must be a Bil Gates
@@mixedpleasure4324 You are making up numbers now? I don't play pretend, sorry kid.
@@pauldavis5665 its actually easy to look up
