I am brand spanking new to reselling, but so far I am finding it very fun. It's like a game. However, I have a full time job and my hubby and I are Airbnb hosts, so this is a second side hustle and at this point just a hobby.
Generally though life is kind of tough right now. My step dad is on a terminal brain cancer journey and we are just counting every day as a miracle right now.
It's hard to be working so much when I'm also experiencing such intense emotions. But honestly the thrifting and photographing and listing is some of the most fun I'm having right now. I found this stellar sequined blazer today at the bins and I still have it on the mannequin in the middle of the house because it makes me smile.
Anyway, if anyone is actually reading this, thanks for your attention. I hope you and your family are well.
Thank you for sharing about your step dad. My mother actually passed away from brain cancer at the young age of 46 yrs old. Just keep your chin up and like you said keep looking forward to every blessed miracle day! 💕
My gosh, my heart sunk at that. My step dad is 71 and I keep feeling like that is way too young. I can't imagine losing your mom at 46. Thanks for the sweet words. Keeping my chin up as much as I can. Watching your videos helps. You have a very comforting demeanor. ☺️💕

You are doing an awesome job, selling online, making videos and taking care of your children. Yes, You should never compare yourself to other people but we all do it at times. I live in a small rural town and don’t often find those high end brands so I do the best I can with what I can find.I am 66 and resell part time to bring in extra money.

Thank you for your much needed thoughts. It's been rainy and dismal here, and my sales are down. Then add that my close-knit family will be seeing my daughter and son-in-law move to FL in 3 weeks. I was once read “Big CZcams resellers can sell their stuff for a higher price because they have such a following” after I read that it really clicked. Something that I might sell for $30 they could potentially sell for $50-$60

Teaks? I know what you mean by some Rellers finding a TONNNNN of bangers. I’m in Canada and while there is good sourcing we pay up a ton. I watch a girl out of LA only because I’m obsessed with the stuff she is able to pull out of her bins! Literally all amazing brands. It skews me sometimes. But I’m with you, I know what I need to do and I know my pricing here for sourcing is higher so I gotta keep it real!
It was Rothys, but Teiks are close. I can't imagine trying to source in Canada. What are some of your tricks for staying in your profit margin?
I think for the most part it’s not a lack of great items it’s you will always pay up. Even our bins where I am are 5.99 a pound and shipping is also high. I have to closets a US and Canadian, that helps. I just focus on sourcing great brands and materials spend quite a bit of time researching trending brands. I keep my expectations real about profit margins. When I hear y’all talking about paying up and it’s 3.00 I’m like “ohhhhhh I wish”. I am still doing fine, but it’s not the same playing field.
I feel just like you. I watch these you tubers and I’m trying to make extra money for my family. I get down glad to hear you say that. I’m so new and just out here trying.

I think you are doing amazing I just started Friday the 3rd of May. I full time RV so I cannot have hundreds of items for inventory. I post 2-3 items a day and have sold one item on EBay, I use eBay and poshmark. You are actually big time compared to where I am at lol it’s all perspective right! I do watch the CZcamsrs that find all these gold mine pieces and I’m like how. Anyway I enjoy your keeping it real videos! Great job

I'm new to your channel & I've just started reselling on Marketplace. I sell about 1-2 items per week, but I have a full time job as well. I'm hoping to sell more items more often, but for now I'm learning all I can from other resellers. I've been thinking about selling at flea markets & short term booths. Thanks for watching. I have not ever done any flea markets. My daughter and I did set up at a craft type fair in the fall, selling vintage sweaters. It was a fundraiser for her, and she made about $160 if I remember correctly. I don't think we would do it again. It was a LOT of work for not much return. But I enjoyed the day with her.

I don't know that it's easier. But I have noticed that a lot of common brands have higher STR in the plus sizes. And when I source in a regular thrift, I tend to look in XL and up. It saves me some time, and I wear plus sizes, so I am more likely to find something for myself. Thrifting bonus.

Aren't the Flat rate envelopes more expensive to ship? A poly bag would be cheaper with ground advantage. Do you have Ebay International shipping? Thank you for the video tips.
I only use the flat rate envelopes when I am shipping on Poshmark. For ground advantage I use a polymailer. I do have eBay international shipping. Love it!
