- Check out this wonderful short 3D animated short called "Odd Sound Out" about Trootpout, a little trumpeter that can"t seem to hit the right note. But you won"t believe how good he sounds by the end! but u are using bone tool.. maybe thats why
but its still called 2d animation

Bagus Basuki Actually, in the final of the animation you have the baby in the stroller that's 2.5D, it's the impression of 3D when you're actually showing a 2D plane that appears to have a z axis
gcoque yeah i guess so...
Bagus Basuki this animation was (probably) made in a 3D modeling/rendering engine, but it was made to look 2d using skilled perspective artists and special filters. Yes, there are a lot of parts with 2D drawn animation, but i'm sure that most of the animation was done in something like maya, blender, 3ds max, etc.
i understand what you guys mean, and i didn't see that way.. so thats why i said that..
but, at least, maybe they can add some rotating camera, or something object that's look 3d..
or maybe, they want to have some challenge for us, to guess how they made this..

I agree, there's not many good reasons to make 2D stuff in 3D animation software.
And i don't think it looks that great.
