Great demo, clear and to the point. Excellent explanation and great visuals.
Thank you - makes changing blades safer and provides confidence in how to
do it right.
Thank you! I had almost abandoned using my bandsaw because of drift. However - changed the blade following your instructions, and was able to cut 100mm x 150mm x 1.6m cedar timber perfectly into two pieces 50mm x 150mm x 1.6m. All they needed was a light sanding for a perfect finish.
This is, without a doubt, the easiest, clearest, most helpful video on DIY for ANYTHING I have come across. I understand now completely what to do where I was um "foggy" about it before. Great job.
Thanks for making this video, I have been putting off replacing my old blade but I feel a lot more comfortable about it now!
Thank you for your posting. I have been avoiding this tool from lack of experience, and am looking forward to applying this useful 'tweak'.
Excellent, so easy to follow, best demo I've seen, clear and concise
Totally new to band saw, this video helped me to get the blade to stay on the wheels! Really appreciate it!
Great demo - first time changing blade so very clear and helpful. Thank you.
Excellent demo, simple to the point without blahblablaa! Good advice
This! Straight, to the point, and helpful.
Thanks very much, that demo was really helpful.
Consise and to the point. Thank you Sir!
This video really saved me today ! Thank you for the step by step instruction. It was much appreciated.
Your video is simple enough that a hump head like me can follow and do. This has really has kept my learning curve from drifting off track. Thanks, I finally got my saw working right on my own without having to bother anyone to change blades properly.
Great video! Might have included how to unwind it by just dropping it on the floor. I haven't had to change my blade in awhile so was feeling kinda shaky.
Very informative video, thanks. Nice old saw BTW.
Most excellent video, succinct, thorough and without useless blather. My "new" (old) Atlas 912 thanks you!
Thank you! This was clearly explained and fixed my issue.
Major help, thank ya much
Very helpful detail, I was surprised with how easily the tires went onto the wheels. I'm even more surprised that I was able to do it! Thanks!!
I was literally gonna sell this used bandsaw (had a buyer on their way with cash) and then I found your video. Apparently the joker I got this bandsaw from had 3/8 blade on a 1/4 inch wheel...no wonder it was slipping off anyway thank you for being soooooo clear and detailed. I’ve kept my bandsaw :) new blades coming tomorrow :)

Extremely helpful. Thank you
Thanks! Just did every thing step by step you said Perfect!
I did not know blade was to track on top of crown center was not aware of 3 teeth per inch rule and never saw tension guidance numbers. Also never knew you had to adjust guide wheels. Thanks for saving my band saw. I now have a new tool
Easy to follow steps. The hard part for me in changing band saw blade is setting the right tension.
Really well done video. Well explained, well filmed, no darned stupid music either! f. It's not that easy to get 3tpi blades though, in Europe, they all seem to be 6. Thanks anyway, I'll be looking out for more of your stuff, I was wary of getting into my Dewalt 3505 to change and regulate the blade.
Great information!! Thanks for the video

Where do I get a well-behaved bandsaw and blade like the ones in this video? I’ve never been able to just slip the blade over the wheels of my saw, even with all the tension removed. Maybe my bandsaw was a dud and I was just too inexperienced to recognize it when I bought it.
HELP... I inherited a nice CAV Brand bandsaw from my Father. I was making good use of it until the blade broke. I have been unable to get the new blade on. I got the length recommend in the owner's manual, but it seems about an inch too short. And the tension knob on top will only lower the wheel about 1/4 inch.. I know my Father replaced the blade a couple times, but I don't know his trick to get it on.
My lower tyre keeps coming off and dislodging the blade, even when I have checked it all runs smooth and even, any suggestions?
Great demo extremely well done. The only problem is I can't find a band saw blade that is 3 teeth per inch. I have even gone to Mc Master Carr and the best that they can do is 6 teeth per inch. Any suggestions where I can go to get them.
Timberwolf blades. But don’t get too hung up on 3tpi. 4 or 6 is just fine.
Interesting. Thank you! I am a new woodworker and I had always found that the blade drift adjustment was kind of weird. Your method sounds way better to me.
Thank you Asa
Missed to check that the blade is not inverted with teeth pointing up. Otherwise great video. Thank you.
Can anyone HELP I have Delta bandsaw. However my problem is the blade keeps drifting and coming off. Also, the round rubber piece on the top wheel which the blade runs is getting chewed up and the blade keeps coming off. What do I do suggestions anyone.
You need to adjust the tracking of that top wheel. Also, check and make sure that your wheels are coplanar. Take the table off and put a straight edge on the wheels. Adjust as needed. Sound like you need a new set of tires once that is dealt with.
I was only able to find 6tpi blades for my bandsaw
Edit: what should I do?
i bought a vintage beaver bandsaw, and the old blade that the guy gave me broke. here is my delima, i dont know what size blade to buy, i first bought a 82 in blade , and it would not fit on, then i bought the next size up in the bin in the store, 93in and it is way too big. how do i find the right size blade for my saw ? im stuck with two blades i cannot use. i also dont know how to fold the blades to put them back in the package for return. HELP

If you still have the old blade, measure its length. Go to a website that specializes in bandsaw blades, they will make a blade to your specifications.
I have that same band saw haha
Hmmm why do they make blades with more teeth per inch??
For cutting metal.
@@brucea550 Or acrylic clear plastics ! 3 TPI you might as well toss it out !
Everyone has their own method of doing this. I've looked at lots of these bandsaw how to videos and this one seems to be a little less than most. I don't think this is the correct way to locate the blade on the wheel or the correct location for the guides. I'll try it and see if it works for me.
bottom of gullet needs to be centered on the wheel. The wider the blade the more wrong this video will be.
Try using a blade with 3TPI on plastic material !!! This guys full of it ! Other than that nice job explaining things ! GEE ??? I WONDER WHY they EVEN MAKE FINER BLADES ????
Near impossible to get a 3tpi. Seems like most are 6tpi
We produce Bandsaw blade
Band saw blade ryobi
why only 3 teeth per inch
Because he doesn't know what he's talking about !!! CAN NOT cut acrylic with 3 TPI blades ! I'd like to ask him why they even bother making other blades ! Sorry my reply is two years late . Tension IS A FACTOR as well .
Really, using pliers on a thumb screw. Arrrggghhh
