EXIDY Arcade Games Collection

Exidy was a developer and manufacturer of arcade video games. The company was founded by HR "Pete" Kauffman and Samuel Hawes in 1973. The name "Exidy" was an acronym for the words "Excellence in Dynamics." Some of Exidy's most successful games include Circus, Death Race, Star Fire, Venture, Pepper II, Mouse Trap, Targ, Spectar and Chiller.
In this compilation we will see the ARCADE games of J EXIDY, all his successes, as well as quite unknown games that have been forgotten over time, which makes this video with a purpose of high educational value and preservation of the video game.

Exidy's SideTrak was one of the rare ones alot like Head On but with trains. Though that one is MAME emulated, i remember the arcade as a kid (in a motel lobby at the Dells in '79) and never saw it again. Unlike this one, the original had a different sound of the locomotives almost Space Invaders like with a choo choo horn beat instead of bass notes and while picking up the passengers along the way would be a bell ding sound for each one. Found out later, the programmer had 2 sound generator boards so this was the later one vs the earlier one i know of.

Aunque Atari y Midway no eran cualquier hijo de vecina. Aún seguían haciendo obras maestras por varios años con un alto despliega de programación y con una identidad occidental de buen gusto. Está claro que sufrieron de mala salud sus últimos años, pero quién olvida Gaunlet o MK?

Из всех этих игр - ничего не встречал в виде игрового автомата, так уж получилось, что лично я при Совке встречал только совковые игровые автоматы, а затем только автоматы из второй половины 1980ых - например Двойной Дракон... а данная контора хотя кое-что и выпускала вплоть до конца 1980ых включительно, но как-то мне ничего ни примелькалось из того, что попадало к нам на Русь... однако порты кое-чего из показанного мне попадались среди приставочных игр, а наиболее примелькалась такая чудаковатая штучка, как "Chiller" - сначала среди ромов аркадных автоматов эмулируемых через мамку (MAME), правда тогда я едва ли понял эту игру в целом, но потом про неё вышел хороший обзор на канале "Disturbing Horror Games"... однако теперь у меня есть представление о том, чем занималась данная шаражка до Чилера... судя по переносам - их игры были сравнительно популярные, пока в конце 1980ых она ни загнулась, оказавшись - не в силах соперничать с японскими мастерами игровых автоматов!)))))))))))))))))))))))))
