    *When you go to your asylum interview, you should bring:
    1. Your interview notice
    2. An identity document, such as your passport, a driver’s license, or a work permit card. If you have family members included in your asylum case, they should each bring an identity document too. Your attorney and your interpreter also need to bring their IDs.
    3. A copy of your asylum application, along with any supporting documents that you submitted together with your application. The asylum application is also called Form I-589.
    4. Originals of all the documents you submitted with your asylum application, including passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, and I-94s for you and your family who are included in your asylum case.
    5. Any additional evidence that supports your case.
    6. Translations and certificates of translations for any documents that are not in English.
    7. Your biometrics appointment notice with a stamp showing that you went to your biometrics appointment.

    I have a question, where to hire a interpreter for the asylum interview? does there have any website which we could check ?

      Thank you for your question and for being part of ASAP’s community! Right now, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, if you speak a certain language, you cannot bring your own interpreter. Instead, USCIS will provide an interpreter for you. You can find the list of languages here: www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/refugees-and-asylum/asylum/temporary-final-rule-asylum-interview-interpreter-requirement-modification-due-to-covid-19.     Hello, am a member fo asap and I got released in Dec after having a positive credible fear but wasn't giving a court date or notice to appear. I want to know whether if I file for asylum with the help of a lawyer my application will be received and my clock will start ticking. Also want to know the steps I have to go through before i can be granted asylum thanks
