⚠️ TERRAIN TERRAIN! INSANE LOW RYANAIR 737 LANDING AT SKIATHOS!

- Not quite, but this Ryanair 737 was on a mission to get down after their 1st attempt was aborted due to low vis. Skiathos is a manual/visual approach, there’s no ILS, so approach height and speed is critical due to the short runway.
I thought the Enter Air 737 was low, but this was seriously low. At the point they’re over the top of me, the onboard systems have just called “50” for height, but trust me, it felt a lot lower!
Listen out as I take a look-up from the monitor to see this thing coming at me at around 160mph. There’s a mega down wash too, which makes it harder to hold the camera still and zoom for the touchdown
I’ll be doing a piece with Alan Carter to look closer at the approach from inside the cockpit, but for now, check this out!

I fly this bird n under the given circumstances I think he's done a good job..wet rwy...short rwy...mostly a non precision approach...n who knows what winds he was battling ? May not have been an ultra smooth landing but was definitely a safe/acceptable one.

It really is very low bordering on dangerous id say, the 737 800s what ryanair operate do have quite a fast approach speed and can be a bit slippy due to their longer fuselage,
