I had the ! because my back hatch wasn't closed properly. The hatch looked closed but it wasn't. I closed the hatch, the ! went away and the lines came back:)

I have a 2012 TOYOTA RAV4 Limited with back-up cam screen in the mirror. When i put it n reverse the screen is blue. No images. Have any idea why? Thank's.
How do you know which camera is the correct one?
Fixed camera on my 2013 equinox by disconnect/reconnect the 2 main harness connectors. Likely oxidation on the contacts over time. Applied dielectric grease to protect the contacts when reconnecting.

@@serperez6870 One connector from camera to harness inside the chrome Chevy handle (where camera is mounted). Second connector is in liftgate harness - where liftgate connects to chrome handle. Both are in the liftgate area by the camera.

Have a holden reverse camera, screen was black but could still see coloured lines, going into setting switching cam off and then on started it up again.... hope this can help someone else
you can disconnect battery that works and sometimes need a software update
My camera comes on but it says if the lamp light is on it needs to be turned off but I can find where to turn it off?

Good advice. My display flickers badly at times when in reverse. I suspect a poor connection involving the shift lever &/or excessive heat. I hope not liftgate wiring! All many reasons to avoid Dodge vehicles like the plague!

It means you doesn’t have a camera
I had a same issue, solved by cleaning bcm wires
My camera turns on for a few seconds and then screen turn black, I have replaced the camera the same story, checked the wires all good …any other suggestions 🤷♀️

Hi guys...how are you...??..so i have a problem...i have a 2008 GL320 diesel...and i took my car to a stupid mechanic who ruined my car even further...i was leakng engine oil...and they took down the transmission instead...they cleaned it and put it back again...NOW HERES THE PROBLEM....When i put my car in reverse gear...the rear camera does not work....it wont even come on....
Do you think the dumb mechanic Forgot to connect the camera within the transmission for reverse???

I'm guessing a few ppl like me at first thought when he was talking abt fuse & pointing at the camera that I thought there was a fuse in the camera like on the end of Xmas lights. I really disliked this site as it showed you nothing in the way of a fix. I get on these sites to see how to fix it not just have it pointed out.

Open fuse box, find broken fuse, replace

My vehicle had to have an aftermarket backup cam installed as the dealer didn’t want to give us a real one and there is no documentation or label that even tells the brand.

You haven’t got it connected to the reverse switch, when you select reverse it switches the lights on the back and it should also do your camera
