I still feel like Grandma Ursula being a killer putting victims into pies would still fall in line with this new addition to Merge Mansion's lore. Maybe the reason she kills is to make sure no one gets too close to the truth about Grandpa Charlie's whereabouts.

I think this idea would make sense, I mean, the woman is destroying evidence and going to prison for him, I highly doubt that killing to protect him by putting all police focus on her is something she'd be unwilling to do.
I think the mystery Mat needs to solve first is how these companies with underlying sinister lore keep finding his address.

Since you seem to enjoy looking at the lore of these merge games, you should check out Love and Pies. The MC takes over and puts her mother's bakery back together while trying to figure it who started the fire burning it down and where her mother is now.

Matpat you NEED to do another one of these. Hear me out on this. I was just playing a game, and I had to watch an ad, and I came across a new merge mansion ad I had never seen before. It had the usual girl crying at her wedding, and the evil grandma, but it had the mansion all fixed, and the ex husband came back! He came back in what seems to be a suit I think, and picked a rose for the girl. There was also a red car near the house. As he was walking up to the house, he saw the girl with another man. So he got very angry and drove off. But when you look at the car, it has the words “I’ll be back” written on it. You MUST do another theory about this. It’s insane.
Playing through the Conservatory, there's some very interesting dialogue. Namely, Maddie finding a note, written by Charlie, that specifically says he's alive and reading it means Ursula's been framed for his murder.

I have been playing this game for years and one of the newer levels actually elaborates on Leonard. So one of the first places that opened up inside the mansion was a room where you meet the butler of Ursula and Leonard from their childhood stealing stuff from the room. He later reveals that he is stealing stuff for “master Leonard” because he owes a lot of money from his gambling debts again. Maddie ends up letting him go with some of the stuff basically telling him just not to steal anything else. (It has been a little while since I’ve played this level so I might misremember some of it).
