Hey MatPat, if you play through the actual game “spider,” I noticed that during the opening cut scene, there is a character called: “Uncle Bob.” Uncle Bob looks suspiciously a lot like Trenton from 2022. Same big beard, same hair, same smile, and even his clothes parallel Trenton’s in rainbow friends! Just something to think about? Awesome theory as always by the way! 😃

Matpat is that one english teacher saying there is a deeper meaning to everything, making the word poop into an entire story, matpat is that, saying that there is lore everywhere in games when he finds connections and then it all gets destroyed by the developers saying it’s just a reuse of assets lol.

i literally love matpat and his lore theories. he’s amazing. the fact that he really tries to break the games down and talk about them is awesome. gives me a bit of a calm approach to some of the games. like with the entire fnaf games, i was able to get through them a lot better after watching the videos bc i felt calmer. love the dedication. you’re awesome.

If u notice in the loading screen there is multiple colors loading, one color we haven't seen so far is PINK, they might be the key to the lore if thw were saved for last.
Fun fact: if you were to clip out of the main map and get on the base plate without falling off the map you’ll see that under a part in the roller coaster section there is a robotic blue walking in the air. The weirdest part is that the robot looked like the robotic rainbow friends that we see during the cyan chase. this could mean that the blue robot would have been the one chasing you instead of cyan.
Thats possible but it could also be a replacement for blue themself.

I think the old man is actually the child that was with blue in the 1st chapter. So it explains why he knows so much about the monsters.
He is also Trenton’s kid. What makes me believe this is because, kids inherit features from their parents to he got his smile from Trenton and not only that it is very likely that he got his fathers leather jacket after he was transformed into red.
Everyone must’ve believed his father had died and he didn’t so he was searching for ways into the factory to look for his father and that’s why we see him trying to break in. Also what pushes me even further to believe this is why does only blue and the kid have a photos together? Why not the other colors? Because the kid was the first subject to see if blue would be popular among children.
Not only that it is also because it is preserve a memory. And the reason he doesn’t know about the rainbow friends being hostile is that since his father died, he had returned to the factory because he was going back to the place where his father died.
That's a great theory but did you also notice how the kids hands and reds hands are shaped exactly the same way? That got me thinking maybe the kid when he grew up, manipulated the rainbow friends into being evil creatures

At 10:41 I’m pretty sure Red was meant to Kill Trenton, but then later in the cutscene you see him looking at one of the Lookies, and According to the game lore, the Lookie replaced the bombs with fireworks.

Hello! I’m little late for a theory on this video since it’s 4 months old, but I have one. I’d be happy if you read this, or even just looked at it.
My theory: The ‘animal control’ may not be dedicated to _all_ of the rainbow friends, yet just one. And I have a big theory that one of them is an animal, that rainbow friend is purple, it may not make sense but they have sharp claws, and sharp teeth like an animal. And as like some animals when they are angered, their pupils are MASSIVE, they glow in the dark two. I have a suspicion that they may be a cat, or a nocturnal creature. They move around the vents at a fast speed, like a cat, and some other animals too. (Further explanation why purple may be a cat;); ‘purple lair’, if you go down in it you see that purple would sleep, yet if the player steps foot in their territory they wake. Just like a cat, they even patrol their territory. And if you see the jumpscare, it resembles a pounce. Just like cats, they don’t want or have too much attention. Like if any of the rainbow friends go into their lair, they get sent back.
(My other theory for all of the rbf/rainbow friends.); If you see the handwriting on the wall in chapter 1; ‘this is where they were actually made’ or smt like that, you’ll see it’s scribble, what if they were kids or teenagers when they were turned? This would explain the hand writing and how easy it is to escape them. I think blue would be around 12-14, green would be maybe around 13 - 16, orange may be around 11-14 and purple, I honestly think they’d be around 11-15

I love all your theories and how you gather so much evidence that is solid to support to make it all make sense and make it sound more interesting then just learning the bland basic lore. But instead of that, you add jokes here and there and such. Also, the spider pic scared the heck outta me-
MatPat, a thing about the old guy is that it's the same guy that dies in the game Spider, also in Roblox. Plus, at the end of chapter two Blue refuses to do anything, foiling Red's plan, representing the stick figures on the board.

Ok MatPat. (And other theorists) I have an addition to add to MatPat's theory, Trenton might not be who you think he is. You see, the picture that we see of Trenton might just be a coincidence because in Spider, he is called Uncle Bob. So that means that, co-founder or not, we are somewhat related to this guy. And we know that the events of Spider happen after the events of rainbow friends. Because Trenton/Uncle Bob gets killed. But not by the spider. What we hear when the spider kills someone is a noice of scratching and the spider biting. But when Uncle Bob dies, we hear a clean stabbing noice. Leading me to believe that after the timeline of rainbow friends finishes, Trenton starts to live his life, then he hears a noise in the woods and gets stabbed by Oswald. Trenton dies leaving us to fight off Oswald's creation, (the spider). One more thing, In the attic of the house in spider, after you use the ladder, there are 2 pieces of newspaper on the ceiling. I tried to figure it out but I can't seem to find anything linking it to Rainbow friends. Well, use this information how you would like to. But remember, that's just a theory.
I know some of Roblox “the mimic” lore is a little bit obvious, but I would love to see y’all play each amazingly made chapter! The gameplay doesn’t even look like Roblox, so please help me boost this for them to see it!!!

MatPat, there is SO MUCH lore packed into the game Spider. Just looking around the map there are lots of things that you can analyse like the newspapers and graffiti in the attic.

Also, there was something that caught my eye when I first played the Chapter 2. It’s how Red’s head is the exact same as a Lookie. This could be a coincidence, or it could mean anything. Maybe Red is human and just has a mask of a Lookie on. Maybe Red accidentally drank the tainted water supply. Maybe it’s something else. It just made me curious to if Red is actually a Rainbow Friend or not.

We need a SCP-3008 video!!! SCP is a video game of multiple versions and on different platforms. It’s about being trapped in an infinite IKEA and attempting survival inside. Can you do a video on the ROBLOX game Piggy specifically about the confusion most of the fanbase has with a few key points.
1. What happened to Zizzy after the events of distraction?
2. Who exactly are TIO and Mr Stitchy and how do they tie into the world of Piggy?
3. How did TSP come to be?
4. If book 3 eventually happens which I hope this video could make a reality drawing attention back to this game what would happen in it because we've found a cure now?
5. What exactly is real and what isn't in the true ending for book 2 chapter 12? Is TIO still alive and is Zizzy either?
I do not know whether these questions have already been answered but I think if they haven't you could find out easily. Some games lore is probably made from your theories (Minecraft). Please consider making a game theory video on piggy going over the lore of this game.

My guess is, that Trenton may have had the Idea, but when he saw how violent the rainbow friends were, he stopped. Oswald wanted to continue, starting the rivalry. The hidden picture with Trenton signaling it was his Idea.

I suggest MatPat to look at some other CZcamsrs that play Roblox Rainbow friends like Lanky box.Because I saw if you crouch when your underneath the bridge inside the cave nearby the river you can see a mysterious note.And the note is on the right corner.
My theory: so trenton used to experiment with the spider and mutation thing. Then regretted it. After sometime res and trenton are together making the rainbow friends and after that, red wanted to go further but trenton really went “look dude you dont wana do this trust me” but ofc he doesn’t listen and that how they ended up in that situation. (I don’t have anymore ideas)

I honestly don't think Red or the mysterious man you see through the terrarium is either Oswald or Trenton but rather Red is the mystery man himself. My thought was this man was brought on as a third party to help the Rainbow Friends become more "life-like". Red is labeled officially as "The Scientist" and since this man was linked to at least one other game which seems like a science experiment gone wrong, it's safe to say he has some background in the profession.
the reason why his portrait can only be seen where Trenton's is is likely because Trenton was the one who brought this man into the project and he's been manipulating things for his own benefit from the background, hiding his actions behind Trenton.
things could have played out like in the original theory: this man made the Rainbow Friends, Oswald and Trenton were both thrilled to see their creations as living, breathing creatures but then everything goes south fast. Oswald likely found out what this man was actually doing and pushed him not Trenton into the machine which turns him into Red. Oswald then likely blamed Trenton for everything that happened and ended their partnership. Oswald would go on to create ODD World while Trenton would go off to make things right and while this was all happening, Red would continue his experiments like he wrote on the wall: 'you only slowed me down'.

another thing is if you play spider theres a cutscene at the beginning where you and your grandpa go camping when you hear a noise in the bushes, grandpa goes to investigate then crawls back out of the bushes(assumingly injured) and tells you to run. but something is off about grandpa, he looks a LOT like old man from rainbow friends chapter two and uhmm i just realized after checking the grandpa 1. is your uncle and 2. dies so if he IS old man from rainbow friends then spider takes place after rainbow friends

Reusing models:
It's the indie horror paradise lol, if there's a Matpat, there's a bunch of indie horror to cover!
My theory: Trenton started the experiments but Oswald started doing the experiments too. Trenton watched as Oswald became more power hungry Trenton realized he should have never done this. He tried to stop Oswald but it was to late he had become a monster. Since then Trenton has done whatever he could to take down Oswald, while also living in fear of the Rainbow Friends. At the end of the chapter he realizes he could use us to take down Oswald so he doesn't let us leave.

Thanks to these theories I've started thinking more about how things connect in other games or stories. (I like to play dnd) And lore, hidden or not has been more interesting to me since Game Theory and the other channels.

For the next game theory Mat Pat could do these mystery game developers (Dark Dome) that made a series of games all in this same universe (more specifically "Hidden Town"), there is a lot of lore and a timeline that I think Mat Pat would be able to put together, there is a whole story line that is really fun to play through. This would probably end up being multiple parts to get through it all but I would find it enjoyable to watch Mat Pat try and piece this together. Also, all these games are mobile app games
I have a theory for MatPat. I stumbled upon the roblox game Isolator, which links to nullwork. Both of them have subtle lore, especially nullwork, that i would ABSOLUTELY LOVE if MatPat could visit and see. The players are constantly referred to as subjects, and when you die in Isolator, you receive the badge “Stop the Experiment.” PLEASE MatPat, please do a theory on Isolator/Nullwork!!!!!!

Orange was replaced.
Orange might be replaced because in chapter 1 Orange is in there but in chapter 2 Orange is *NOT* there so either Orange got replace by Cyan or Yellow.

Blue is 2nd in charge.
It's obvious that blue has a crown 👑.
And in chapter 1 when you escape in the vents Blue is the only one that chases you, purple is only there if you fall.
And in chapter 2 Blue has his own castle!

Why Orange might have got replaced
Do you remember when I was talking about Orange?
It might be because of the incident where Blue lost his eye and wears a button as an eye 👁🗨.
Since you know Orange is always hungry maybe one night Orange didn't get fed and Blue was the first one he spotted so he tackled Blue in the eye and ripped his eye out and Red figured out.
Red would stop the fight and replace blue's eye with a button.
