- Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will deliver his National Day Rally 2023 speech on Sunday (Aug 20) at the Institute of Technical Education headquarters in Ang Mo Kio. His English speech will be delivered at 8pm.

Mr Lee is expected to speak about adjustments to public housing schemes to keep them inclusive and to make sure flats remain affordable for Singaporeans. He is also set to touch on help for older workers who have not built up enough Central Provident Fund (CPF) savings for retirement.

Thankfully, as a result of the Non-constituency Member of Parliament, Mr Leong Mun Wai’s constant badgering for details from the Government, we now have specific data for a recent HDB project in Ang Mo Kio for the purpose of consideration.
Is HDB selling buyers its HDB flats at prices that are way above the cost involved in building them, or is HDB making buyers pay for the additional cost of building facilities and land that they do not own and then reducing the final price by “subsidising” the buyer with grants?
The government should reward those who are healthy, n have no chronic diseases. Give them a few thousand dollars for not overloading the hospital .

For those who think this cpf top - up is to help seniors think again, why not gov give cash instead of topping up in your cpf, reason is simply bcoz they know many ppl cannot meet the MRS, so top up in your cpf just wayang to show they care?
