I love that Chris had to trial and error the non-jack version even when there are clear markings that, as he said, were pointing outside but still got through all possible iterations with the pieces even when the markings point inside
Honestly made my hands itch
* chose to
I have the feeling he does it on purpose to make the video goes longer or make the puzzle look harder
Physics do be like that tho
Ay ay physic DO be like that 😂
Amen brother, that they do.... that they do
Mmm
You don't think it do, but it be doing that.
I've seen this trick before, it really is all about the laws of physics.
Beautiful puzzle! They really should add magnets to the acrylic case to keep it together, just like acrylic deck displays / cases.
Thank you so much for everything that you do, Chris. I really love your vids.
Thank you for bringing back the "whistle and smoke" when the puzzle lands. Reminds me when you would do a puzzle in the morning in your kitchen with a cup of coffee.. Those are the best days of this channel
Just got mine in the mail, and i absolutely love it. So nice to look at.
Love this type of puzzle! You made it look easy but even after watching you solve it. It will still be a challenge! Thanks! I will definitely be ordering this one!😎
A physics. Awesome illusion!! And awesome puzzle!!!!
sometimes ur puzzle video soothe my tired souls. wrecked from daily routine of work and stuff. ur magic videos or puzzle videos. anything by you is so good that it feels like a healing time for me anytime i watch ur videos. keep it going chris. love it❤
I bought their last puzzle (Wavelinks) and have been very happy with it. Very satisfying when you get it to slide together. Anyway, since I liked the last one so much, I tossed them my wallet as soon as the KS went live for this one. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
Chris, Another great puzzle. I love it! Thank you for bring these to us. Be safe.
Regards, Myk
This puzzle is awsome! I want to get it now! I love your vids
Love these small puzzles, especially ones that have 2 solutions.
Simple. Elegant. Satisfying.
I Kickstarted this puzzle, it arrived today, I LOVE it so much. Quality is great, nice heavy feel to the metal pieces, acrylic case is great. I've been trying to make this puzzle myself for several years, now I don't need to. ❤👍👌
A
great video as always
The ring trick is physics (A) - basically, the chain whips around the outside of the ring and hooks over due to friction etc, etc. You do have to tilt the ring slightly, otherwise it will simply fall off.
I think it's more like topology, a branch of mathematics. But yes, no trick.
Pretty sure its the spin on the ring, essentially wrapping the chain up.
@@octocat1- There's no spin on the ring - it simply drops. It's easy to try, though. Give it a go.
It ain't physics! It's a trick ring! My dad is a full-time magician and he has this same exact illusion only it's bigger and the ring is gold!
@@futuramabender2078 It's physics you let go of the right with just one finger and the ring does spin making the chain wrap around itself making a knot so to speak
This is a classic Chris Ramsay puzzle video! Beautiful!
Physics and some magic.
Really love Jack in the Box. Would have got one if it wasn’t so expensive to ship to Europe. ❣️🥰
It can't be physics! My dad is a full-time magician and he told me it's the ring! He had this same exact illusion! Only, his ring is gold and it's bigger.
I’m so excited for this puzzle! I backed the Kickstarter SO quick!
Since you didn't offer D) all of the above, going with physics. Big heavy ring, light chain set against it, bet difference of weight makes chain flip around the ring just before it hits the chain bottom, trapping the flipped part between the ring & the bottom.
Nope! B! Ask my dad, he's a full-time magician and he has this same illusion only it's bigger and the ring is gold
@@futuramabender2078 How am I supposed to ask your dad
@@claires1063 I meant that figuratively. Sorry bout that!
Yes,definitely my thing! Thank you for sharing❤
Great video man, sweet puzzle.
Definitely A. I have enjoyed this for years since my dad showed me over 30 years ago. Best part is that all parts can be picked up at your local hardware store.
Awesome - cheers for sharing, Chris 🙏
Yeah that is a cool desk ornament to fiddle with
A! Physics is a crazy thing! Not a huge fan of these styles of puzzles personally but I love the look of this one. Very appealing!
Another great video, might ask for one of your deck of cards for Christmas.
SUCH a satisfying puzzle, man! Awesome!
Thanks 🖖🐰🍷
What a cool puzzle!
Need this one right here for the office
The Mr Rogers music is a nice touch
Beautiful puzzle!
looks super satisfying to solve
Now that the puzzle has arrived and I solved it, I can finally watch this video!!
Your 'on-hold' music is on point!
Very cool puzzle.
I need to know the science behind this, my brain cannot figure out how this is possible! Very cool!
That is such a Great brain teaser puzzle would totally give it a shot at getting one and figuring it out
Thanks Chris I might try to make a purchase that's quite nice
So satisfying a solve. Thanks for sharing.
Your videos are awesome to watch when drinking some hot coffee on break after work :D
So cool!!! ❤❤❤
It is all of the above. A,B, and C. It is A, Physics because it uses the gravity that makes the ring go down, B and C chain and ring trick because you need a certain motion to make the ring go through the chain and the chain will loop around the ring because of the physics involved during the motion.
No it's B! My dad is a full-time magician and he has this same illusion only it's bigger and the ring is gold
@@futuramabender2078 There's ALWAYS going to be Physics involved, because the ring goes down due to gravity. So to me the question was reduced to "is it B, C or B+C".
Enjoyed this one, very satisfying and relaxing
Super cool puzzle
A cigar, a cup of coffee, and a Ramsay puzzle = relaxation
Sick puzzle!!
Dude that's awesome!
I love this
I remember learning that ring trick way back. It's a cool little trick. I guess you would call that a physics trick.
9:52 Something I noticed broke my brain. With the jack in the box there is more space in the acrylic box than the original solve. How does one add to but get less volume. I'm sure the original cube was not sliding around in the box before just crazy. GREAT puzzle. So after review with a few missteps of his fingers that moved the shells there is more room in the box than the original cube and I deem this the Magical Box of Jacks!!
Idk if its the asmr sounds with the puzzle or the voice but these videos are calming
This is a great coffee table piece. Great design!
I need to know about the music! So good.
When Mr. Puzzle did this, he said that he didn't notice that this fit as they described. In other words, there was still the same amount of space between the puzzle pieces and the jack in the middle of the puzzle. Did you notice that, as well?
The pieces are exactly flush with each others both with and without the jack. There is no play between them in either configuration. The difference comes from the volume of the cube. With the jack the cube is slightly larger than without.
Great puzzle
That's a really neat puzzle! I hope they release them to the public soon, it'd be great as a desk fidget. The chain/ring thing is a neat physics trick. As the ring falls, it slides past the chain and causes it to snap around the ring, forming the knot. If you drop the ring so that it never makes contact with the chain, then the trick won't happen.
Opening with a classic magic trick! I love that. PS - I want this puzzle.
Super impressive design
now that puzzle is indeed very nice
A physics, But you wana think its the chain or the ring its not. love the trick classic
these videos got me in a chokehold fr
intro puzzle answer is A. Its all physics based. The ring spins slightly and causes the chain to basically loop around itself thus making kind of a knot around the ring.
Also was anybody else yelling at him through the screen saying bumps on the outside smooth on the inside? When he was trying to do the solve without the jack?
0:14 nice fall of the ring to make the chain loop itself. its a simple loop knot but with flipping the ring it forces the chain to loop on to itself.
A: physics
This one is cool 😀 looks very fun
Also ring is physics
I just realized that I was on .75 playback speed at the end of the video. I cannot put in words how enraged I was that he was taking so long when he KNEW the perforated side went outward. Really freaking cool puzzle. That must've taken a lot of thought to create.
A the ring is the trick,my man you are so smart love the work and the puzzle thank YOU ONCE AGAIN. SWEET 💜😊💯💫
I think ya mean B? A was physics
Physic it when you let one side go slightly before the other side it rubs against the chain. If you let them both go at the same time it doesn't happen that way.
It's A) Physics. it will happen with any appropriately sized ring along any cord/rope/string shaped loop like that. You just need to hold the ring at a slight angle and it catches on the string.
Wrong! It's B. My dad is a full-time magician and he has this same exact illusion only it's bigger and the ring is gold
@@futuramabender2078He may have, but it's utterly unnecessary.
@@BrentLorend They've copy-pasted this comment everywhere lol
I'm sorry, but watching you try to solve the first part was mildly infuriating.
Me out loud, “the other way, no the other way…” 😂
It made my head hurt 😂😂
Praying it was just for rage comments. If not, you can tell he’s sick of making these vids…
Basic physics bro i used to this to those old Bank pens on a chain.. think i was 3 or 4 ? Good trick still.. Handy for camping
Ring has opening like a carabiner
WOW! Great!
It’s A, or close enough. He wrapped the chain around the ring somehow… probably as it fell tbh.
B
i know that trick, i did it in 3rd grade at my classes talent show its physics, its a neat trick
Thank you to Art of Craighill for allowing us to see it! Thank you for supporting the Greatest Puzzle Solver in the World.
I want a Spotify Playlist with this type of music.
A - physics. Love your videos.
Now that's cool
HotDang! Would definitely buy if it comes in brass to match the Mini Jack from Craig Hill.
I think it was the wizard 🧙♂️ for that chain/ring trick.
Considering that the ring was held by a knot some fancy trickery was afoot. What exactly, I haven't a clue. 🤷♂️
Excited it too be much harder. If so the sides were the same dimple pattern or blank, it would be much tougher....
It is A Physics he is flipping the ring when it falls so it stays on the chain
Cool puzzle but... Not $120 worth! 😫
It's physics and you're amazing by the way. You're my favorite puzzle solving CZcamsr. The ONLY one really in my opinion. Love ya buddy.
(A) for sure. Although, maybe someone decided to make a trick chain and you decided to buy it! Hahaha...
The puzzle looks cool! Fun that it can be solved in a few ways, with the jack and without the jack 👍
Nope B my dad is a full-time magician and he has this same illusion only it's bigger and the ring is gold
Thanks Chris for the vid! Always love these.
A. I’ve seen the Self-Tying Larkshead before.
It is a physics trick. By flipping the ring over and dropping it at the same time, as it falls into a slip knot that motion makes. A very good visual trick, but not really a sleight of hand kind of thing. It just works automatically when you flip and drop the ring.
Nope! B! My dads a full-time magician and he has this same illusion only it's bigger and the ring is gold
For years I’ve been saying “Everything is physics, if you look close enough.”
Super elegant!!
Nice! - Such a cute brain teaser!
#1 that's physics #2 I would definitely add that to my puzzle collection
Nope! It's B! My dad is a full-time magician and he has this same illusion only it's bigger and the ring is gold
This one hurt!! Found myself talking to the laptop!!!
that a cool A option
Absolutely just A - physics, brother!
Nope! B! Ask my dad, he'll tell ya cause he's a full-time magician and he has this same illusion only it's bigger and the ring is gold.
"The ring goes through the chain" :p I think its the other way around
I love how long it took bro to fill in the box when the outside looks completely dif than the inside💀
Omg yes. I love the idea of this puzzle. I wanted
To buy it but i dont own visa so i cant buy it 😢. I really love this ❤
