    Love the Empress gin. I walk past that distillery most every Saturday. It is my go to Christmas, Birthday or host gift.

    I ended the season with a nice twist on a NY sour.
    The sour component is actually acid adjusted orange juice, and i used a speyside scotch blend with orangy-marzipan notes
    then floated with mulled wine. absolutely stunning

      but you really need to match the whisky to the spices, otherwise it tastes not so good...i tried a german whisky with apricot-marmelade notes as well...but not as good as with the other one imo

    Tried making a clarified cocktail for the first time a couple of weeks ago (a batch of your New Your Sour) and now I'm hooked, being able to prebatch sour cocktails that lasts like stiff ones is just great. Might have to give this one a try as well, this years New Years cocktail maybe!

    yoooo! thank you for the pro tip for the coffee filters. I tried a milk punch recipe with coconut milk a couple months back and it was a disaster filtering. It was discouraging but i told myself i gotta try again and not just abandon it and stick to whole milk 😅
    So ill give your method a go 💪

      Can the fizzy grapes be done with nO2 chargers or does it need to be cO2? Can’t find small co2 chargers in my area 😢 @trufflesontherocks

    My coconut milk didn’t coagulate at all. Hmm. First time I’ve failed at something like this.

      Came to say the same thing.. 18% coconut milk. First time a punch of mine never coagulated.

      Happened to me aswell, I added a couple of cl milk (non lactose, 3% fat) and that did the trick, it curdeled up nicely and the filtering went alot faster. Tastewise i couldn't tell any diffrence
