The tuning is that of a cello, with the last two strings of his 5 string bass being banjo strings, tuned to A and E. Mix that with a ton of distortion, and you get a touch estimate to his actual setup

Use piccolo strings for more PERFECT tone (but if you can't find piccolo string on guitar store, use guitar string instead)

Guitar strings are too short, Gibson uses banjo strings and a five string bass now.
