I have watched this video 20 plus times, start to finish. I have been playing since I was 3, I am 53 now. 50 years of drumming and I don't even come close. Thank you gentlemen for providing inspiration to play and continue perfecting my craft.

So I've been kinda stuck in this music rut where I felt I couldn't go much further with my drum skills, but when I heard this, I thought, "man I gotta play with that!" So I did, and my god, I've never had so much fun or sweated as much as I did behind the set while playing along with this jam sesh... Thanks guys, and keep it up! :)

When you get in a musical rut, switch up your playing style. Example if you ride with your right hand dominating, then switch to your left hand dominating the ride, if you have a chop that you start with left hand, start it with the right hand or the bass drum. We all get in ruts, but they are not hard to get out of if you switch up and activate different parts of brain. When you do that you have to learn a different skill set but it adds to your creativity and playing as a whole
thats the worse thing you can do !! im probably thesame level as you in drumming but i know that i have got tonds of stuff to learn :rythms, rudiments .. hand to feat combination ... you have a long way yet to go. like in rudiments you mite be able to play all of the rudiments now try to play every rudiment as triplets .. then with different accents you will be amazed the sound you can get out by doing that. i have seen your videos you are very good the only thing i dont like is your groove.

Fellas ive been a drummer all my life and this impresses me more than watching the ol prod. And thats not to take anything from the ol pros becsuse they paved the way but this style , everytime i watch it i have something new to say about it. And honestly its been dificult for me to pick up on becsuse i cant read music either and im out here all by myself the only drummer within miles. But from what i can gather is that maybe alot of the fills or rolls are done utilizing that right foot and a hand freeing up the other hand allowing it to hit whatever wherever whether it be a splash, a crash, a mini china, etc. So that right foot has to be on point.

These guys are absolutely amazing! I don't care if you think they get their inspiration from God or if its just lots of practice or both, but the playing in this video can't be denied! Incredible! I hope they all get into good bands and make names for themselves. Talent like this should be shared with the world!!

Great technical skill on both drummers' parts. One complaint I have is the camera angle on the first drummer... the cymbal covers his kit!

Where do they learn to do these drum fills? Nothing is repeated. It's the most amazing drum video I've ever seen.
Practice, make efforts to play around with accent patterns. Try basically doing what they're doing here, have a metronome playing & just play regularly but try and fit as many ridiculous non repeating fills as possible for about 10 minutes every practice session

Look up linear drumming! Combos of sticking w/ kick allows for unlimited fills.

Everybody's fills/ solos made musical sense..

I take nothing away from no one's skills with at the end of the day when it's all said and done it's all about locking down that Groove no matter who you playing with I've been doing it for over 45 years know a little bit about something what I'm talkin about keep doing what y'all doing

Both? Must have cut it off early? They switched up a few times...but I agree, they are ALL anointed of God and the Holy Spirit was in da house! 30+ years drumming in church (45 total) and there is always someone new to teach you something provided you can figure out what they are doing and fit it to your style of worship music. Contemporary Christian has more guitar solos than anything, but I try and make drum fill/solo stuff fit in where I can every service when I'm leading worship with my wife!
I've known gospel choos for almost 10 years now. Best thing to do is just watch and feel the sick groove. Find one of these drummers in your local church.
A lot of metal drummers should pay more attention to this stuff

+Ryan stone You really think two drummers is a lot? obviously there are great metal drummers, however most drummers are not incredibly creative and it was to those drummers i believe he was talking to.
those 2 already probably take notes on those fundamental moves since they are just doing rudimentary type playing, but adding their own spin on it. However, i dont think its good to also undermine metal drummers with a belittling comment since they can do a lot of things, and maybe even more with shedding.
+Jahdiyah Murray The reason I said that is, as mainly a death metal drummer, I see a lot of the things being played by these guys to be applicable to the sort of music that I play, while the things played here also being a rarity among metal drummers. I'm not a gospel drummer hating on metal drummers. I do however find it sad to see so many metal drummers who seemingly are not able to grasp other styles of drumming at all, but that's just my own view/experience. All drummers are of course free to play and listen to what they wish but I believe there to be a lot of potential being lost by dismissing everything that isn't normally considered to be a part of whatever genre you usually tend to play. I'm obviously not saying that all metal drummers are like that, but a significant amount. Goes without saying that all of this is my own opinion.
