Charlie Hopkinson is a comedic impressionist, impersonator, voice guy, whatever you want to call it who specialises in voices from current television shows and films. His standup is a character act about a retired maths teacher, his standup set includes impressions of Sir David Attenborough, Robin Williams, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Peaky Blinders, Tommy and Arthur Shelby and Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.
Always looking to update my roster I look to try out subscriber suggested impressions in the impressions challenge series before honing the best ones. Recently I have added Peaky Blinders and Marvel / Avengers characters to my arsenal!

I started learning impressions in 2012, at the age of 20. You can follow my full impressions journey in my new ‘How to do impressions’ tutorial series
After graduating from the University of Warwick in the summer 2013 he took 4 months out to concentrate on CZcams videos full time, including producing his most viewed video to date ‘Morgan Freeman and 40 other impressions’ with just over 12 million views. This foray into being a ‘full time CZcamsr’ was cut short as he went travelling for 3 months before starting a 2 year teaching Graduate scheme with Charity ‘Teach First’.
While teaching he has performed in and narrated the 4 episode series ‘Lookalikes’ as Morgan Freeman. The show and the narration received a positive reception. The show aired on Channel 4 during the prime time slot of Friday 10pm for three weeks. It is now currently available on Netflix. Charlie also performed with other well known impressionists for an unaired pilot.
Charlie has worked for several prominent brands in relation to their products, including google and formula 1.
Since the summer of 2016 Charlie has once again dived into the world of CZcams, for the first time producing content on a weekly basis. He is also focusing on live performance; he has performed in live venues a total of 3 times to date.

It's difficult to put into words how colossal the hype was for Phantom Menace back in the day. Algebra was the last class of the day for my schedule, and every Friday for at least a month, the teacher would play the Phantom Menace trailer on the class projector screen. Heck, I remember the Austin Powers Superbowl trailer straight up telling you to watch Star Wars first, and then Austin Powers if you had the time.

OMG! I remember. I took off work, for the release day and the day before. Almost everywhere you went, there was some form of Star Wars P.M. advertising. I still have the promotional booklets, from K.F.C.that you got with a meal. I was a kid, when the original trilogy was out, and I was so hyped for the phantom menace. I remember waiting for 6 hours, outside the box office, to get my ticket.
People quit their jobs to get in a 2 week long line. 😅

You should be really proud of yourself for that change. Your content has been great since since the beginning (yes I did think it was real at first lol). Well, generally I don't care what politics are used in entertainment either if it's good - except when it comes to abortion. Maybe people outside the U.S. don't appreciate it, but half the audience feels like you're spitting in their faces no matter what approach you take: either you make one group feel you're for enslaving women or the other group feels you're for killing children. Unless the point is to be divisive for political reasons, there's no reason to ever bring it up (at least not before a nationwide American audience).
P.S. I just thought of a joke about Star Wars vs Star Trek and Anakin with the younglings vs the Orion's treatment of women, but I will follow my own rule and keep it to myself.

This dude's Obi-Wan Kenobi impersonation is phenomenal. The only flaw that sticks out to me is the "Oh" sound in words like "joke" or "no". There's too much emphasis placed on the "oh" and the sound seems to carry on slightly longer than it should.
If that is corrected, I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between Charlie' and Ewan.
Your work is incredible Charlie. The quality of writing is up there with the UK Office and the Royle Family.
