Charlie Hopkinson is a comedic impressionist, impersonator, voice guy, whatever you want to call it who specialises in voices from current television shows and films. His standup is a character act about a retired maths teacher, his standup set includes impressions of Sir David Attenborough, Robin Williams, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Peaky Blinders, Tommy and Arthur Shelby and Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.

I started learning impressions in 2012, at the age of 20. You can follow my full impressions journey in my new ‘How to do impressions’ tutorial series
While teaching he has performed in and narrated the 4 episode series ‘Lookalikes’ as Morgan Freeman. The show and the narration received a positive reception. The show aired on Channel 4 during the prime time slot of Friday 10pm for three weeks. It is now currently available on Netflix. Charlie also performed with other well known impressionists for an unaired pilot.
Charlie has worked for several prominent brands in relation to their products, including google and formula 1.
Since the summer of 2016 Charlie has once again dived into the world of CZcams, for the first time producing content on a weekly basis. He is also focusing on live performance; he has performed in live venues a total of 3 times to date.

Already watched all these individually. BUT! Having them compiled into a single 1+ hour video for our pleasurable viewing convenience is a treat. ROP SE1 was a hot pile of cabbage but this guy managed to turn it into something special.

I would even say that Charlie does not have to just keep the characters within their prospective shows either, I would happily watch Gandalf, Elrond and co- react to things beyond just LoTR, In fact I think I could watch them pretty much roast anything.
I see great potential in Gandalf and Co - in a flat in Croydon just roasting everything they watch - its an amazing simple concept that most wouldn't be able to make work or pull off, yet Charlie has done just that and actually deserves the whole thing to be bigger than just U-Tube and I would love it, if in the future, us U-Tubers get the privilege of saying- "hey us viewers were there when he was starting off and now we get to watch him deservedly be a big household name with his own primetime national TV show".

This is one of the funniest roasts I've ever seen. Been through it three times and still laugh out loud. Amazon is not acknowledging any criticism as valid. I'm getting tired of being called a racist, fascist, patently evil person. I mean sometimes I get mad when I get bad service at restaurants, so sometimes I might be a tiny bit patently evil but that's it. Galadriel reminds me of that cheerleader in high school you had a crush on. I love the depth of field and lighting on Gandalf's seat. The layers are very nice. You have the table in front, Gandalf in focus on another level, the lighting behind him on another, then finally the kitchen darker in the furthest level. It looks fantastic and gives the picture a nice dynamic. Plus the light spills on the other side of the wall. Even if it's not all intentional, it looks great.

Yep, these vids are my only reference to the series. Just the clips gives me the shudders. Bad acting, unrealistic characters and stories even within the fantasy genre. I could go on.
