#opel #Ascona #junk VIDEO FILMED FALL OF 2021 After years of trying to get it from me I gave in and sold my Opel to Corey. He assumed it was fine to cruise from my house 20 miles to his shop.
Car guy logic at work. "I don't have the time to fix this tiny car, i think ill get rid of it"...........swaps out small project for even bigger pile. We've all been there.
That thing needs a 308ci Aussie Holden engine in it A.S.A.P. Edit: It should bolt straight in. If it doesn't, Tough Mounts from Adelaide Australia will have an engine mount kit that will make it so. cheeers.
I vote for keeping the stock 1900. Any bigger (heavier) lump will spoil the handling and there's something to be said for a well-balanced all analog car from this era. Especially since original US-spec 4 doors are so rare, and these pre-impact bumper ones with the rear license plate below the bumper are so much cleaner-looking than even the Euro ones let alone the '74/75s.
Very jarring to find this video on recommend, and hear american voice :0 I never knew we sold Opels to USA, that's really cool I thought the only instance of this was recently with Saturn opel astra
Mannn, i knew they built 4 door coupe and wagons but have never seen one. I have a 1971 Opel 1900 “sport wagon” i think im going to do a turbo k24 swap or a turbo 2900 Atlas. 400whp would be a hoot in that little 1800lb mini wagon
I grew up with an Uncle who had a 1900 Opel engined Holden Torana, not the same car, even though the look the same, but it's got the same GM Strausberg THM 180C gearbox and engine. 2bbl Solex carbs are often a bit sad with stale fuel. The cam in head short pushrod engine is So BlQQdy heavy. Lookes like both the engine and car are in great shape. It's a worry if you use a Yugo as a Support vehicle...
